I believe that there is a position that SRL could fulfil at the club. I am not 100% sure what that role is but, if DC and SRL were able to thrash that out between them, openly and honestly, I think that he could have a massive input to the club over the next couple of years.
If a deal could be found that suited both him and us - YES.

Past it. Just a fat midfielder now. He was a tubby midfielder when he left us - but he did it bloody well and scored more than his share of goals. Look where he went from there.

Yes please. He can be the man to fire us to the Championship next season. He'd have to take a hell of a pay cut though.

Past it. Just a fat midfielder now. [ Would still score more goals from Midfield than James And Gaffeny combined if played all season

No! Loved him when he was here before but he will never be that player again and will only be a disappointment. That will then tarnish my love for him which I don't want to happen

No. He's struggled the last couple of seasons and I think it would be a mistake for both us and him.

I would say given who his agent is we are unlikely to be pursuing Sir Rickie

A no from me. Fantastic career, made himself a millionaire and will always be regarded as a rovers legend. We need to be recruiting players capable of the step up to the championship not players that are going in opposite direction.

Regardless of what we think, DC doesn't seem to be one to sign journeymen or do any sentimental business. Certainly don't think he'd be keen on Warnocks sloppy seconds. And we love him for that! The day he becomes like Mark McGhee, he can get a cab down the road. Cant see that happening yet though

No. The guy is a hero and I wouldn't want to start thinking otherwise about him.

It's a no from me, I think age and perhaps a bit of weight has caught up with him and I'd sooner remember the great player he was than see him play out his last season or two with us. I'm not sure it would be right for Rickie or us.

Would love him to come back as a player and pos future coach, he'd be amazing in this division! Would be a great swansong. People comparing him with past has-beens we've had/made, are wide of the mark.
Edit: only if it meets our budget

On the right pay- 100%
I'd have him on a year loan paying no more than current earner. But yes, Rickie in the Quarters would be stunning.
Best player I've seen in blue and white.

On the pay issue, there are ways around these things to avoid it becoming an expensive mistake.
Goal bonuses, appearance bonuses and promotion bonuses with a realistic basic salary . But that would mean he would be on a very different pay structure to everyone else, I assume.
I think he's on the way down now, though, and can only get worse, sadly.
So a no from me.
