The football club can confirm that the Motorpoint Stand will be used by Bristol Rovers fans on 22nd April.Peterborough United host Bristol Rovers in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday 22nd April at the ABAX Stadium (3pm) and the Motorpoint Stand will be occupied by away fans only. The club have been informed by Police intelligence that Rovers could bring in excess of 3,000 supporters with a chance of making the play-offs. That's generous. Will get a mixed response from posh supporters no doubt.

Can anyone really see us taking 3,000? I reckon 2,000 at a push!

If our playoff hopes are over by then we'll probably only take about 1000 and then it would look a bit ridiculous. If we are in with a shout of making it then 3000+ could be a reasonable guess. We live in hope. UTG!

Our season could be over by Peterborough and we'd struggle to take 500. Alternatively, we could be going to Peterborough already in the play-offs so it's sensible to make this decision now, especially if they have season ticket holders to move about.
Let's hope that come 18th April we're worrying about whether or not 3000 is going to be enough.

I could see that the Posh ST holders would be pi**ed off with being asked to move their seat but I have to say fair play to the club. At least they are willing to make an effort to try and make space available for a big away following unlike most clubs and they are getting it sorted in advance. If we do take a big following because it is going to be a big game, at least we know where we'll stand with tickets and there won't be the same farce there is at other clubs sorting things out at the last minute (if at all). Well done Posh!

Changed my mind, if we win our next 2 games we'll take 10,000 easily, with another 20,000 locked out and 5,000 the home ends.
Come to think of it I wonder if Wembley is available on that day? Might as well get a taste of playing there before the play off final!

Shouldn't have changed that gert terrace we used to stand in. We would have fitted in that easily. Been to posh twice lost both. 2nd time we were 15 mins late and when we walked in we were 3-0 down. 2nd worst away day that 1 for me. Either gray raydon or Ian Atkins era I would of thought.

I bet they are hoping that the Gas are still in with a shout - purely financially!!

Looks like they are just planning in advance and good for them. They've realised that we are capable of taking a big away support and that we are still in with a chance of the playoffs so they've acted swiftly, communicated well in advance to their own supporters and ours that this will be the away allocation and where it will be. No doubt a few swamp donkeys will be upset but at least everyone knows where they stand. I'm sure they are looking at it from a financial angle as well, but good for them, they are not going to sell out so they might as well make as much as they can out of it. Shame a few other clubs aren't so well organised and forward thinking.
