On Fridays I use to enjoy listening to this programme on Radio Bristol
Twentymans Talkback straight after games on Saturdays is not as good in my opinion
The programme on a Friday was sometimes worth listening to, opinions divided. some good banter There was some callers always on each week, with some good points some total rubbish. Terry from Shire was always good for a laugh, other callers made some good contributions, others did not, but they were always given a good amount of time. Sometimes they would have the managers, Chairman on taking questions, albeit I believe from selected callers, but still interesting listening.
Now the show is rushed, callers made to wait whilst they interview the managers, and not so many callers because the air time is combined with reports, results, managers views, traffic reports etc, and I miss some of it because I can't get back to the car quick enough
I for one would like it reinstated back to a Friday,

The Friday shows were better, especially when GT had a guest in the studio. I remember years ago, when Geoff Dunford was the guest, they actually extended the show by half an hour due to the volume of calls coming in!

The "show" after the games is the same show as before and has been cut by 30 mins as used to finish at 6:30 and now finishes at 6. Used to enjoy the friday show when I remembered to listen to it or catch up online

I prefer it as it is as I listen to it on the way home and interesting to hear other views. I probably wouldn't bother with it if it was on a Friday to be fair.

It only goes on in the car on the way home after the match and on a Friday, I would normally be doing other things rather than sitting down and listening to the radio. I did feel sorry for the first guy on Saturday who spoke for about 10 seconds before they cut to Gary Johnson's interview and then the travel news. He must have been on hold for over 5 minutes.

The point I am trying make is, the show is no different on Saturdays than before, where as the Friday slot was more of a phone in for all sports, mainly our local football teams and more time given to callers to make their point, if it was interesting and sensible. Probably have the time to spare on Fridays for an hour, but that is down to an individual choice, and not to say it was a must thing to do.

GTTB needs to be on Fridays between 7 and 8. IMO BBC Bristol radio Sports coverage, on a Staurday after 5 p.m. is awful, far too much national coverage, which we can all get from Talk Sport or 5 Live. I would like wall to wall local opinion and interviews. Twentyman has gone stale, too much time sent talking about ******* scrolls of honour during Monday to friday, I have tried to listen, but it is so out of date and boring I have turned the rubbish off. The Friday show was more stage-managed than Saturday and if the quality of callers was not great GT used to bring in one or two regulars such as Terry from Shirehampton to try and improve the quality . With the emotion that runs riot straight after a game you get more knee jerk reaction from people who just ring in on a high or a low rather than the considered opinion of say Terry from Shire who is always happy to chat about Bristol football even though he supports the wrong side .

I like that though, it makes it more entertaining for listeners.

Too much national stuff on the Saturday, post-match show for my liking. For those who want to hear the match reports from Liverpool v Chelsea etc, there are already two national radio stations to chose from.

I'd agree it's good to listen to on the way home but I am never in the car until I've missed all of the Rovers and City stuff. That said that's probably a problem with me rather than the station!! I did enjoy the past fridays shows, maybe more regular Fridays is the answer to that. I'm sure they still happen now and then? Clarke was on the radio once In the summer if I remember rightly and that was a great listen.

So basically TTB has been dropped, as Saturday's programme is no different from last season's, why not have a TTB from 5:30, if it's got to be on a Saturday pm?

So basically TTB has been dropped, as Saturday's programme is no different from last season's,.............. Exactly. All smoke and mirrors. No more show on Friday but the usual follow-up stuff post-game on Saturday. Another brilliant piece of station management by Tim Pemberton!!!

Maybe the lines between his Friday afternoon show and TTTB were becoming blurred, so it got binned?

If it a problem on Fridays why has it got to be Twentyman, good as he is though. It could be Hoskins who hosts the show on a Friday? Can't help thinking its a cost cutting exercise by the BBC to the detriment of Radio Bristol listeners.

Shame it was moved again this season. I'd just about got used to the move to 6:00 PM last season. You used to get people ringing in who watched the games, now with it starting at 5:00 on Saturday, you only gte those who've either just heard the commentary at home, or are dashing out of the ground. As I like to go for a couple of pints after the game, I miss nearly all of it now, and so far I've forgotten to pick it up on 'listen again'.
I wonder if Rovers relegation has made the station management run scared of running a proper 'phone in in case the bloody 'teds keep moaning that they shouldn't be covering non-League football!
