If I put up a picture of She Who Casts No Shadow you'd need a bloody gert big humungous screen to view it ! Responding to a previous question. Alas "hooters" in Bristol is long gone What a shame. Every single last piece of culture in Bristol is slowly being destroyed.

Would you care to put a picture up of your partner so we could make comments/compliments about her/him ? If I put up a picture of She Who Casts No Shadow you'd need a bloody gert big humungous screen to view it ! Sir Nobby, i have had you Fez on my "screen" and that was humungous in size and width (made my eyes water) so cannot be that big ?

Responding to a previous question. Alas "hooters" in Bristol is long gone What a shame. Every single last piece of culture in Bristol is slowly being destroyed. They probably should have renamed it "somethingpoliticallycorrect" then it would most likely still be there. Might have had a bite to eat and/or a libition or two in there between rehearsals; and the RBL Bristol Celebration of Remembrance at the soon to be renamed "somethingpoliticallycorrect" Colston Hall.

Just googled him, what a ugly bastard! It's pretty apparent he has a cleft lip/cleft palate. You really are an insensitive clown aren't you? Apologies.

Afternoon Gasheads. Thought id offer my 2pence worth on Sercs and the circumstances on how he left The Ox. Firstly he was regular in our promotion winning side from L2 proving a very important part in the team and as you've noted on this thread scoring quite a few goals as wel as being virtually ever present. On promotion to L1 he suffered a nasty season ending injury (Medial knee) quite early on in the season. He was out for the season according to all he experts both at the club and the specialists who saw the injury. m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38014435www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/oxfordunited/15010421.Liam_Sercombe_buzzing_to_be_back_in_Oxford_United_shirt_after_serious_knee_injury/No operation was had and he returned in January. When he did return he was behind John Lundstrum (c) and Ryan Ledson both youngsters signed from Everton and who were having vey good seasons, Ledson especially. He was occasionally used on the right of midfield, mostly a narrow RM if you like. This isn't his position and he soon become clearly watered with the role. He will need to paired or have at least one holding midfielder behind him as he loves to bomb forward but is slow to retreat. Not the beds passer or tackler but he will get in good attacking positions. He has a very good tendency to pop up in the box at the right time and the ball seemed to be attracted to him when he did this! He struggled with the step up but wasn't helped with the injury and losing his place. On the falling out with Appleton (Appleton offered him a chance to come back and apologise to his teammates but he didn't take the offer, hence the transfer listing) It stemmed from, Being behind the two I mentioned above and the being hooked as soon as Ledson came back from England u19 duty. Notably at Wembley. Sercombe came on and scored but straight after the game he allegedly ;-) Got tanked up, gave the chairman, Appleton & a section of his team mates, notably the youngsters a verbal volley as to why he should be in he team. He also went onto Twitter in the next few hours and retweeted a host of messages mentioning how he should be in the team and that Appleton was stupid to leave him out etc etc. He refused to back down and didn't apologise to his teammates or the manger or owner. He did however removed all the tweets relating to this. To summarise, I'd say it's 50/50 on how it goes with him. Everyone our end is delighted with the deal. We've got 4 players all perceived to be ahead of him and the club only extended his contract (we had an option on him) so we could get the fee. To counter that, 150k if he fires will be a cracking bit of business for you. It'll certainly be interesting to see how he goes for you. Personally I wish him well based on the season he had for us in L2.

Interesting to note the reason for the falling out with Appleton. I can't see DC putting up with that so I assume he feels he can manage the bloke. I can't see him having any reason to complain if he is playing regularly but it will be interesting to see how DC handles him if he does start ruffling feathers. I have faith that DC will handle whatever comes his way and hopefully Liam will feel happier playing for us and bang in plenty of goals.

Look at from a different perspective he's not gonna do it again call it a life lesson and character building being dropped and IMHO then having the balls to speak out about shows a passion to want play for his club. I'm not in the least worried think he's one of the best signings the club has made in a long time

Probably not the best idea to re-post the picture but totally agree with what your're saying. Can't the Mods delete the pictures and the comments? Embarrassing !! Or we leave it, let enough people say it's a bit cheap and tacky and hopefully it will not be repeated. Lets just hope we dont sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin on loan from Everton then... Google it lads, thank me later.

Its not two wet behind the ears youngsters as competition its going to be Chris Lines ,Stuart Sinclair and maybe Billy Bodin.

I guess this will put an end to the "he is not a DC type of player" comments?
DC only has one type of player....winners.

Dc is not afraid of signing or backing players with some negative baggage. Harrison, montano, easter and now sercombe have all had issues and question marks over their character during their career but a good manager will often take that on without fear. Brian clough signed many players others wouldnt go near with great success and in our division phil brown took a chance on simon cox and nile ranger and it very nearly paid off for them. With sercombe he has had a good career so far without any problems until he fell out with appleton through dissapointment so im not at all concerned about his character.
