No ambition, No Investment. What have the Al-Qadi's ever done for us. Let's not get too carried away just yet - still a long way to go to spend the money the club got from selling Taylor - even if LS cost £150k

He's probably the only player in the squad who has got on the end of a Luke James cross:

Let's hope there's a bit more in the kitty for a striker etc but at least this is a better signing than last summers!
I'm looking forward to next signing announcement now another decent signing would surely show we mean business next season.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39576721Oxford United midfielder Liam Sercombe will not be included in the side's squad for their next two matches. Sercombe, 26, was left out of Saturday's League One draw at Walsall for unspecified "disciplinary reasons". Manager Michael Appleton refused to confirm if the former Exeter midfielder had played his last game for Oxford. "Who knows?" he said. "He won't be in the squad this weekend and whether he is beyond that, is something that will we decide at the time." Sercombe's last appearance for Oxford came against Fleetwood on 5 April just days after he scored at Wembley in the U's EFL Trophy final defeat by Coventry City. He has scored 22 goals in all competition for Oxford since joining from Exeter City in summer 2015. "Everything is undo-able, there's never a full stop on anything," Appleton added. "But, there's going to have to be a hell of a lot of work behind the scenes to put things right. "We do things a certain type of way. There's a culture at this club, certain things we accept and certain things we don't. "I'm speaking on behalf of the whole group, not just myself and I'll be amazed if anybody thinks differently." Sercombe will sit out Friday's trip to Bradford and the visit of Port Vale on Monday as 10th-placed Oxford look to cling on to their slim chances of reaching the League One play-offs. Hmmm.... doesn't sound great does it? But everyone makes mistakes I guess. As long as he's learnt from whatever it was. And DC does seem to be an astonishingly good judge of character Marcus will know him from his Exeter days and will provide any necessary character references required.

Great signing. The sort of quality player we're going to need if we want to challenge for the top 6 in a tough L1 next season.

I am guessing someone none of us suspected. Correctamundo. I have a few mates involved with Exeter City, friends of Sercombes who told me he wanted to come back to the south west but I thought Plymouth would have been in for him. Good signing but not sure about the rumoured price tag. At least this will mean there are no more "he isnt a DC type of player" given his off-the-field disciplinary issues.
