The thing is, he could well have killed his career with that interview. Surely his position here is now untenable and if he goes to Mansfield there is no guarantee that he will hit that magic formula he has with us. Football is all about reputation and momentum and just sometimes getting lucky. Having just the right players and a bit of luck. I'm sure many managers will admit everything only aligns a handful of times in their careers. To shoot himself in the foot when right on the brink of something that could have made his name is utterly bizarre. That Fourth Division battle of the giants, Walsall vs Mansfield in front of 3815 could be just the boost his career needs Thats scheduled for 21st March maybe a dogfight to see who is likely to get relegated

Hargreaves has to be the favourite and from what he has done whilst at the club, may turn out to be a good choice

Was talking to couple other gasheads this afternoon and the question was asked - why can’t GC’s family move south to Bristol? Cos the mother in law would come with them

Well I’ve gone from buzzing ! loving football and loving our club after a brilliant win away at promotion chasing Ipswich Town to scratching my head , pulling my hair out and wondering what the hell has happened to football but most predominantly what has happened to Bristol Rovers supporters. Coughlan has said he needs time with his family to think things through . He hasn’t left , but whether he stays or goes he’s done an amazing job. I would have thought the faithful and true would hang on a day or two before talking about who’s going to be our next manager when our manager hasn’t left. This place is like the shithead forum. Well said sir. If GC needs any convincing he should make the move he just needs to read the crap on here. Give the guy some slack until monday at least

Sounds like an easy win today . Looking forward to the trip to Ipswich next week - last time I saw us play there we lost 6-1 in the cup...must have been around 1978 Yes I was there. We had massive support there

I'm certain Ollie is suspended - 5 yellows in the league. The cut off is 19 games so Ogogo must avoid one today to be able to play at Ipswich, and avoid one there too so he is free to play in the following games Had no idea about that - well, then, Upson in the centre for Ollie. I would give Tomlinson a start instead of Upson

It would have been difficult for a neutral supporter to decide which was the league 2 side. Well done to those who braved the cold night to watch a less than inspiring performance, it was bad enough sat in the confort of my home watching it. Positives to take from the game were Tomlinson's performance, and our ability to take penalties. Negatives: the midfield. Upson made so many mistakes and Ollie just isnt on his game. It was difficult to suggest a MOM but Craig was Mr reliable as ever and the one driving run he made through midfield showed determination. Exeter away in the next round would give me a easy journey to become a scab for the day

Does he think we are in the season of good will already. He is having a laugh or is he totally out of touch with what football is to the fans. The rivally is all part of the game and if you take that away football will be all the poorer.

We need to get the Beard involved full time with the club at some point in the future. Excellent attitude on and off the pitch. And what a role model he could be for our younger players

Well, it’s environmentally friendly I guess. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! So is Bolders carbon nuetral?

This is getting creepy, my password of death nearly always leads to someone leaving the club, I only changed it to include Hamer yesterday What or who are you going to change it to next WAEL?

Try watching a live game... We've all tried this, but only a brave few have managed a game all the way through. Big Jock has found a solution to that by drinking loads of alcohol

Try watching a live game through ifollow. Our ground is a dump, our support is loyal. I will leave you to make your mind about our players but hope you stay. Theres a lot of good humour on here but also a lot of dross
