The suspicion was always that there was zero evidence to support the claim that Iraq supported Al-Queda (the opposite was true) nor that there was any evidence for weapons of mass destruction, that bit was made up. On that basis there was no basis for the invasion other than to further sate the American desire for bloody revenge for 9/11. Who knows why Blair agreed to partner the Americans in doing that, apart from being stroked by Bush. If all the US actually wanted was bloody revenge for 9/11, they could have flattened the entire Country in an afternoon. Neither Russia nor the US have been successful in Afghanistan.

Blairs a war criminal. I think we are pretty unanimously agreed on that here from previous discussions. Heck, even Stu got off the fence for that one I think! Explain that to me. He was our Prime Minister, I get that. But the US are and were our Allies from as far back as WW1 right? They asked us, to join them in the conflict that they were going to be involved in. We agreed. Blair must have received information from the experts, the Yanks', ours, he wouldn't have gone out their himself right? Do bad decisions based on poor information make you a war criminal? He backed America knowing the information on WMDs was weak at best, fabricated at worst. Look up Dodgy Dossier and Sexing up WMDs for more info. Blair is a liar and a war criminal. f**k his knighthood and f**k the Queen.

Nope , but a bloke in America just got a new piggy heart 🐷 ♥️ I’m sure he’ll be bacon his feet in no time. If he lets his heart rule his head he may be a a little rasher in future.

I drove from Staple Hill / Emersons Kingswood way and back, and parked in Gardiner Haskins for almost 8 years. It was an awful drive but if you drove out of hours it was a breeze. I think we’re worrying too much about the site because it’s a pain in the ass to get there during commuting hours whereas most games will be at the weekend when the traffic that way is not bad. Yeah there will be the odd midweek match but like I said in a previous post, is Horfield any better? As i said, no point worrying just yet as nothing has happened or even plans drawn up, as far as i know. It seems a the developers have 5 months to make their minds up. Just more waiting time before nothing happens Fixed that for you.

It's just outside the caravan. Which is also in the garden. And on fire.

It's not obstacles, it's realism. There is some truth in what you are saying but it is a football match at the end of the day, if it is going to cost and take even more time out of the day then is it worth it? I'm guessing you live fairly close by and won't be affected judging by your ignorant comments. Move then, if you don’t like it. If you live fairly close by, you’ve been getting the bad end of the stick since 1996 so it’s a moot point. I get that it’s inconvenient, but that’s what all the rest of us have had for years. If you live far outside the city, you aren’t paying for premium property prices, so just see this as a little perk for those who have chosen to pay to live close to the centre. In terms of ignorance, as I say, every thing you dislike about the site is exactly what others have had to deal with for years, so a bit of empathy for us would be appreciated :-) Nah, f**k y'all.

Relax Guys we’ll all be dead by the time we get a new stadium. It will be my luck to have my ashes scattered over the Thatchers bogs, which then gets turned into a housing estate. I may instruct the family to save half the contents of the urn. Make sure the instructions are clear otherwise your family might end up with an urn full of water.

You've got to be joking! Yatton is a Dam nightmare to get through now let alone if they built a football stadium there! Ok Frenchay could work for me, as long as Baggins has a 3 seater sofa. He has. In his garden. On fire.

I realize someone has already been shot down, but Bristol is horrible to outsiders. It's mainly the roads and traffic that are the problem. I hate travelling into and through Bristol. Even the Mem is a ballache, and the FM site is going to be much worse for those of us who live outside of the bus catchment. If the FM is good for the club then crack on, but they will definitely lose a few fans who can't/won't travel into one of the shittiest cities to drive in. Bollox. I’ve had to cross the city for about 20 years and before then had to travel to Bath. What will happen is that people who had the stadium on their doorstep will now have to go through what every other gashead has been doing for years who don’t live north of Bristol or in horfield. The FM site is miles better than anything we’ve had. It is not difficult to get to, it’s straight off the motorway and A4. The roads around the mem - the A38, muller road etc are FAR busier and difficult. Imagine driving down the M32 - what’s eaiser to get to. Horfield common or St Phillips? No contest. Far better, it’s just going to give some of you a journey you don’t currently have and a lot don’t like it. For me it will be brilliant. Anyone coming from out of town for an event or conference would far prefer somewhere near T meads to stuck up by Glocs road. The mem - the FM is about 20 mins by car and 35 by bus so if fans are that put out, just do what you usually do and get a bus. I usually leave about 1pm, pub by 1.50ish. It’s not hard. I don't disagree. I currently have to leave home about 12.30 to get to the Mem for 2ish so it's just a different sh** journey for me.

Doesn't the number 70 still run from Frenchay to the City Centre? Then hop on another to Temple Meads from almost the same stop? Like I've said, not that convenient when you travel with your Father, he doesn't hop as well as used to, and would rather get home from the game within 30 minutes, not over an hour on a crowded bus. Fair enough

I'm surprised anyone is surprised that Boris turned out to be a self centred, boorish, money hungry, lying Tory.
Next week: BREAKING NEWS. Bear shits in woods.

Just roughly, the cost for me would be £8.20 to park at Bristol Parkway, 23 games per Season, minimum, that's £188. Train from Parkway to Temple Meads, £8 return, 23 games, that's £184. So minimum that's an extra £372 per Season for me. That's without petrol getting to Parkway. Plus I travel with my 87 year old Father who would struggle to complete those sorts of journeys, and it would add at least an hour to my day. Said it before, I won't be going. Doesn't the number 70 still run from Frenchay to the City Centre? Then hop on another to Temple Meads from almost the same stop?

Some recommended podcasts
Swindled. Exposing corporate corruption.
Athletico Mince. Its sort of vaguely football related. Bob Mortimer being hilarious.
Criminal. True crime, but much more gentle and not about killers. Fascinating
Homecoming. Basically a radio play mystery. Definitely recommended.
Hunting Warhead. Investigative journalist finds a pedo
My dad wrote a porno. His dad wrote a porno. Its really bad, and really funny.
No such thing as a fish. QI in podcast form.
The ParaPod Without doubt the best podcast Ive ever listened to. Sceptic Vs Believer has never been so funny. I literally cried with laughter several times during this.
S-Town 6 part real life investigation takes some weird turns.
Plenty more out there, depending on what you are in to but you cant go wrong with all of the above

Download an app called Podcast addict. Its brilliant and really easy to use. If you are stuck pm me and I'll help you. See, all you needed francegas was someone intelligent to help you ! 😀 In fairness, PA has a walk through built in. It's an absolutely brilliant app. I paid donate/ad free version years ago. It was only a few quid. If you use the free version there is a small banner ad along the bottom. It has 100s of customizable settings and its really easy to manage subs, search for new stuff, get suggestions. I don't often rave about apps but it's the best one out there.
