As far as I know the equal pay shout has been championed by the US team, where they do have a case as they’ve long been more watched/popular than their male counterparts. Our girls are going for improved bonuses, I think? No one’s saying they should be on the same wedge as Haaland and co. The Australian team came out ranting about equal pay prior to the WC. I read that the mens world cup generated 7 billion, whereas the womens generated 400million but with a lot of backing from the financial success of the mens world cup. Despite this, women are given 20% of that as prize money whereas men get 7%. So in theory if it was to be equal men would either earn a lot more than currently or women would earn a lot less than the amount they currently complain about.

And people think Belshaw should have saved that 😂😂 Crowd of bodies hit at pace first time bottom corner This was more concerning 😬 Defo - happens the way that we want to play though, regardless of keeper it will cost us. Not a Belshaw problem asking a League 1 GK to play like Ederson

No interest - Standard is woeful in my opinion. We were debating this week if Rovers would beat the England Womens team - Most thought they would. In fact pretty much all mens teams in the top five divisions would surely ? Womens football is becoming more and more popular for Television audiences and surely will continue to do well - happy for them in that context, I support HGT and what they stand for as well - just wont be tuning in to the World Cup. Easily. The women’s sport has evolved massively and I’m all for its improvement but is still miles behind the men’s and always will be.

There's zero evidence from the court reporting racism was a factor in this case. If posters want to continue raising that as an issue then post a link to where it was mentioned during this week's hearing, or simply accept it was never raised by Brown's brief during the hearing. So Jevani Browns lying is he? Do you honestly think straight after the hearing that somebody would just make that up? I'm pretty sure the Police, judges, lawyers would have something to say about it wouldn't you? Literally said he wasn’t guilty then went to court and plead guilty?

The amount of excuses people are making for him are embarrassing. The women weren’t on trial for hitting him. They weren’t on trial for the alleged racism. The bouncers weren’t on trial for the alleged encounter. JB was on trial for assault by beating and the only thing that matters are his actions. I assume most of you have daughters and would be absolutely fuming if a man spat and hit her in town regardless of her actions. Girls racist to man Man spits at lady Lady pulls his hair Man slaps lady for racist and pulling his hair. . Wind your Dam neck in were not all whiter as white as you. If my daughter was racist to a man in town and pulled his hair I'd have nothing to say of she was slapped. Were all saints on here arnt we This post really ain’t as good as you thought it was

Which was totally wrong, however, you can't chose to start judging an incident at a certain point in the proceedings. Taking it back to the beginning, actions have consequences - maybe having his dreadlocks pulled was just as painful as him slapping the woman - both are wrong, yet should it be judged any differently because a female was the perpetrator? Exactly Tilly the main focus seems to be on JBs actions and not the women's actions should they not be judged on their actions as well clearly not going by some people views and opinions. If you read the article it stated the JB told the women not to get involved yet they still decided to involve themselves The women involved are not employed by Bristol Rovers FC and do not strive to be a value to the community and set examples for young and old fans alike all over Bristol. Their actions, right or wrong at the end of the day have absolute nothing to do with Bristol Rovers - they do not nor never will represent us. You’re always told as a kid two wrongs don’t make a right so please explain why a 27 year old man has spat at and then assaulted not one but two women without saying “maybe they deserved it” which is essentially the excuses being put forward so far. Embarrassing that people are trying to justify it.

“ If the women hadn't got involved none of this would have happened” is making excuses. They did and he spat at and then slapped them And I'm making excuses how ? The news article clearly stated the women became involved that facts not excuses. It’s a fact but it doesn’t make his actions okay? You’re putting it across as them getting involved has made it okay.

Who says I'm making excuses for him, please scroll through the thread and find where I said it was ok to spit and hit a woman (you won't) Not everything is black and white there are areas of grey all I was doing was highlighting some of these grey areas. “ If the women hadn't got involved none of this would have happened” is making excuses. They did and he spat at and then slapped them

There is one thing that has been overlooked in the report it said the argument started with the doormen and then the women got involved. If the women hadn't got involved none of this would have happened I think there's a lot more to this than meets the eye. Have some of you also considered he may have just pleaded guilty under the advice of his solicitor to save the hassle, first offence etc. Everyone deserves a second chance surely or is that too much to ask from some people? The amount of excuses people are making for him are embarrassing. The women weren’t on trial for hitting him. They weren’t on trial for the alleged racism. Yeah but why no mention of it in court? There was no mention of anything in court apart from an ongoing confrontational situation which began at and continued as they went away from the venue. It seems pretty clear something HIGHLY offensive was said to spark him to spit. It really does sound like something and nothing overall but is a stain on his record that would have been better for all parties if it had never happened, much like his statement said really. Time to move forwards now imho. He pleaded not guilty then went to court and plead guilty. Not sure his statement can be taken to be too seriously tbf. He won’t have written it himself anyway

Race wasn't wasn't mentioned in the BBC report I read? Is it confirmed that Brown was racially abused as a mitigating factor? Javani Browns statement was pretty clear wasn't it? Yeah but why no mention of it in court?
