As usual your talking absolute sh**e! No way if that land ever came up for sale would planning been given for housing. Have you even been there? If you haven't, I suggest you do and straight away you would see several reasons why planning would not be granted. It’s completely made up bullshit and left with nowhere to go he’s now hiding behind ‘landbanking’. It’s hilarious but also quite sad when some people just resort to making up lies to support a weird agenda such as his hatred of WAQ. Facts not lies, he promised a new stadium when he bought the club and has no plan to achieve it. Hence the silence.

Landbanked! Waiting game being played, paid peanuts for it. Gotta love the naive hero worshipping of the owner! Silence, silence and more silence! As usual your talking absolute sh**e! No way if that land ever came up for sale would planning been given for housing. Have you even been there? If you haven't, I suggest you do and straight away you would see several reasons why planning would not be granted. Obviously not yet! Jesus. Just need to wait until the area opens up in a decade then boom. No biggie creating a few pitches to keep the idiots hoodwinked in the meantime!

Landbanked! Waiting game being played, paid peanuts for it. Gotta love the naive hero worshipping of the owner! Silence, silence and more silence! So your failed and laughable conspiracy theory can be conveniently hidden behind ‘land banking’ for the rest of time. I’m pleased we’ve still got a football club which is thanks to WAQ (that must qualify for hero worship). You presumably think different and would have preferred oblivion under Higgs. I have no reason to mistrust WAQ and believe he will be doing everything he can to take us forward, whether he succeeds remains to be seen. Who do you want to take over from the huge list of billionaires who have publicly stated their ambitions to take us over? Of course it wasn't gonna be straight away, it's in the middle of nowhere!😂 Satisfied with existing is why it's all there will ever be. Worst stadium in the league and no plan to change it.

....in a nutshell! Finally people are smelling the coffee! I haven’t been to the training ground for a whole. How is the housing estate coming along? Landbanked! Waiting game being played, paid peanuts for it. Gotta love the naive hero worshipping of the owner! Silence, silence and more silence!

Firstly, any lack of stabilising the club in league one can NOT be blamed on the stadium. Over 50% of clubs in this league have no better facilities than Rovers and operate on much smaller crowds. The only need for a bigger brighter stadium is to facilitate football at higher levels. To be honest you could establise Rovers as a yoyo club champ to league one with a 10-14,000 capacity stadium on the mem site. The problem for Rovers is deciding what we are and what our goals are. The word "potential" is actually a hinderance. Having an aim to be bigger and better than 1982ltd is also a hinderance. We are always chasing that better thing instead of doing the obvious thing. If Accrington, Morecambe,Fleetwood ,Burton, Cambridge, Lincoln can operate in small stadiums at league one ,Bristol Rovers can as well. How have they managed it ? Ok Wael might announce a superstadium and Rovers will still be a league one club . A big crowd doesnt guarentee anything nor does a pretty stadium. Notts county, Portsmouth and Bradford show that. The identity Rovers need to establish is not the club crest but who we are as a club. Surely the target is a new stadium and Championship football, whether Wael's got the financial backing to do that only he knows. We don't have a target apart from existing, most people are happy with that so that's all they'll get.

For me it's a certainty and I know this post is a massive negative and we are still in September but this has all the makings of disaster written all over it and I'm not just talking about the football on the pitch. Take away our poor luck with injuries so far and look at the bigger picture and I see for 1 that JBs signings this season are his 4th or 5th choice down the line of main targets if not further 🤔2 and again I will be shut down for saying this but (Wael) needs to employ a man who has the knowledge of running a football club and who can make off the field decisions and push this club forward. For all his so say money and debt he's cleared for the club he has no sense on how to progress a football club and we/he is losing 84k per week at Rovers so where is the future for him and us financially? I can see Joey walking by January and personally I don't lay the blame with him for our poor start but Wael has been here long enough and I can't see him being any different than the previous when it comes to progression off the field. With many places to build a stadium and the option to redevelop our current ground we still see and hear nothing good and I'm afraid we are going back to league two. ....in a nutshell! Finally people are smelling the coffee!

if he’s in hiding then he’s not doing a very good job of it. A couple of weeks ago he walked in front of the Thatchers end (to applause which he acknowledged) to talk to someone in the East stand before walking back across the front of the Thatchers a few minutes later. He may even have said something about a stadium as he walked by but we just couldn’t hear him!? 🤫 Don't think stadium is a word in his vocabulary!

It's ok, we're sorting out the major issue of the club's badge, more trivial matters can wait.

i can remember talking to TG a few years back at the time we had 16million in debt and those debts were set to rise, after the passing of Waels Dad he managed to pay the debt off and has been ever since, no different to any other owner and there is no guarantee that this will continue in the future . Thing is most foreign owners of English clubs set up a parent company in a tax haven and use the club to invest their money, in the hope of growing their investment, promotion to the Championship is immediately worth an additional 7- 8 million a year to the club and its owner , that has to be Wael and family the goal, to sustain that the owners need a new stadium or least better facilities than we have at the moment , none of that aim has been achieved so far. Remember Wael and his family are bankers/ investors they will want to see a return on their investments So Waels using us as an offshore Tax write off and he's hoping we get into the Championship to get a 7mil return on his investement. Other than that, he's done no more than any previous owner. That what you saying? If I were him I'd have sold the Mem for housing years ago. Always an option. Must be worth 30m now.

Loft definitely looked much sharper than he did when he first arrived, looks like he's worked hard on his fitness over the summer. I think he deserves a run now. Play a 442 and move collins to the flanks unless we sign a decent winger. Kilgour did a decent job to be fair, never gonna be a great distributor but he has experience at this level. May need to accept we won't be able to play the same kind of football we did last year with the players available. 50 points ASAP has to be the realistic target.

Until they deliver a new stadium then we can say they have achieved things Indeed, we still play in the worst stadium in the league, until that's sorted they have achieved nothing.

Think our last two results and the quite obvious lack of creativity in midfield gave us the push to get the deal done, great signing if it happens.

Perhaps we could crowd fund to buy him a season ticket at City? They have a nicer, shiny stadium and it’s not as if he’s bothered with what happens on the pitch! Pretty sure he's already got that sorted. The standard nonsense response to anyone who doesn't agree that everything in the rovers garden is rosey.

Thatchers end. Saw last 2 seasons at Eastville, missed probably 5 matches in our entire time at twerton, don't have a season ticket but attend 70% of home games and a few away. That good enough for you? It would be good to read your views on the football related threads, as a long-term supporter, you must have opinions about the football Rovers are currently playing, surely? I certainly do. I think our summer recruitment was very poor, we have looked pretty solid at times this season but we lack creativity, the transfer window will make the difference between a relegation battle and a mid table finish. Certainly much weaker than the team that came up last time under dc.

Not as thick as people who believe our owner will deliver a stadium thankfully. Nope, you're just thick. Repetitive, boring, and thick. End of. Personal insults say much more about your intelligence than they do mine.

Because people know i hit the nail on the head, they just don't want to admit it to themselves. To be clear., i think your comments about a new stadium are right and that is why i give them a like plus, after Barton getting delusional and talking of prem, when we have nothing like the money or infrastructure, is just truly laughable but it seems to please a large number of fans, who don’t think it through. If someone as wealthy as SL is talking about calling time on the 82 then that should tell you a lot Completely agree, the odd bravado comment without anything to back it up seems to be enough for most people.

Perhaps if you took part in threads about the football side of the club and not just concentrated on your anti owner/ ground agenda, you might well be taken more seriously. The fact you never reply to questions asked by posters about footballing matters is good reason for people to think you don't attend games. Are you a season ticket holder, do you attend games, what area of the ground do you sit/stand in, how long have you supported the club, have you supported the club since the Eastville, Twerton days and then the Mem? I'm interested and am sure others will be. Ignore him. He's as thick as he is tedious. Not as thick as people who believe our owner will deliver a stadium thankfully.
