I went and was very encouraged by what was conveyed. The owners have said they are funding most of the developments from their own pockets with 30-40% coming from the housing built at the quarters.
Abdullatif was very open to meeting with various groups to resolve their concerns and issues.
He talked through the investment already spent on neglected areas of the stadium like the kitchens and said they have signed a contract with a company to improve the EPOS system so that payment points throughout the ground will be more reliable and have back up.
There will be screens on the South stand concourse area so fans can watch the tv football pre match and at halftime/full time catch the results.
There will be a new stage in the fan zone and all food outlets will be brought in house.
He was adamant that they will only make the plans public when it is certain they will be delivered (i.e. planning will be granted and everything is agreed) I am sure we will all be pleased with the improvements.

If the South Stand was planned as just a temporary structure why was it built to link into the East Stand development? Plans changed once we knew we were staying at the Mem. It is no longer a temporary stand. It will certainly be there long after a lot of us on here are gone

Yep no guarantees in football Enjoy the ride or dont. It's really only constant social media that makes fans (of all clubs) over think everything. UTG Spot on. But didn't Jevani Brown's assist on Saturday make your heart sing? Great bit of skill, almost like being in the Premier for a nano second. (Not really, and I stand in the Thatcher's and my eyesight's not what it was. ) As you say, enjoy the ride. Moments of joy when they come are few and far between for fans like us but when they do arrive... Totally agree. It really wateres me off when fans overreact to a bad run and make histrionic statements pretty much based on bad mood or entitlement. Play the long game here. We’ve been a league team for over 100 years, barring one pretty memorable season in non-league. In that time, if you don’t count the non-league promotion, we’ve been promoted from tier 4 to tier 3 twice and from tier 3 to tier 2 three times. 5 league promotions in around 100 years! I think it’s something like 7 relegations. So, nearly 90 years of us probably knocking around mid-table most years. How did people put up with that in the past? Compared to some of the dross we’ve had to put up with over the years it’s been a real pleasure to watch footballers the calibre of Antony Evans, Luke Thomas and Aaron Collins and Eliot Anderson over the last few seasons. Chris Martin’s finishing this year has been that of a real master of his craft. There are the seeds of a really good team here. I don’t understand why the general feeling is not to get behind them. Rock bottom was seeing how fierce some of the criticism was when we lost the other day to Northampton. Anyone with a fair minded view of that game could see we would struggle with a midfield of Josh Grant (lost his ability to accelerate due to injury) and a combination of Harvey Vale and Harry Vaughan - both kids. All three played out of position because we literally had no fit available central midfielders. How can you win a league one match when you have no-one to win the fight in the middle of the park? It’s pretty much impossible yet fans turned on the team. That doesn’t sit well with me. It’s been a feeling of doom and gloom yet we’ve taken 12 points from our last 7 games and are actually closer to the play offs and further clear of relegation than when that run started! Why is this happening? Is it societal? People get bored easier now and can’t handle an end of season with nothing to play for? I’d much rather that than a relegation scrap. Maybe it’s because Barton promised us we’d have a right good go this season. How did that end? Taylor’s still new in through the door and deserves time to shape things his way. Meanwhile his record is perfectly good so far yet he gets pelters. He and the team deserve our support, in my opinion. There is no evidence to show they’re not putting it in or that they don’t care. I can well understand why Taylor said that the shirt weighs heavy at the moment. They’re probably a bit baffled as to why they’re putting in a shift week in week out and not getting our full support. We have been promoted from 4th to 3rd 3 time this century 2007, 2016 & 2022

They already have an idea of what they are wanting to do and I am sure they would have looked at the previous applications that have been granted planning permission giving them an idea of the parameters they can work within.
I doubt very much their "wants" include student accommodation. For me that would just take up capacity space so what is the point?

Yes, should be an easy question for thme to answer. None of the rumoured explanations seems to make sense. The steps, the piling, the scoreboard, the wraparound connect to a new East Stand etc. If it is envisaged to have a South East corner section of seating higher & deeper than the current South West temporary stand, the pillar near the corner flag has to go. No one will want to sit in the corner section with the view of the whole pitch obscured by that pillar. Originally the plan was for the scoreboard but that was changed when it was decided to stay and redevelop the Mem. The owner did say it was to join up with the East stand but I am not sure that makes sense. We will get to see the plans soon so not worth worrying about until then. I had heard that once the East and North stand are complete they will revisit the South Stand with a view to removing the pillars. (excuse the pun!)

I'd go more in depth on the stand, otherwise you'll just get the generic reply they put in the statement. - Can you walk us roughly through the East stand development. EG, are you planning to extending the current structure, build sides or knock it down and rebuild? Will the terracing on the East stand stay or are you planning to convert to seating? Worth asking, but unless anything in concrete, they will probably say we are currently looking into all options and we will do what is best for the club. They have already stated they plan to add onto the existing structure starting at the South end

We go to Cheltenham on April 13th, our penultimate away day.
Of course I'd like the Gas to win but am sure I won't be too upset if Darryl takes the points and it helps them survive (assuming nothing on it for us)

Football is now a real hardship for many working class supporters, making watching your team a luxury!! Not sure our adult prices have changed much in all the years I've supported the club? My first season ticket was about £15

And all have been in the Championship since us , don't know whether to laugh or cry Conversely, we are currently in a better position than all but 3 of them. UTG Yes and all in the Premier League and all begin with B like us, Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth - lets hope that's an omen

If only our home form was better we would be in the mix for the play offs surely ? Maybe, but in a 'Home Games Only' table we're 13th and in an 'Away Games Only' table we're 10th, same as in the full league table... ....mid-table by every measure! We have lost 4 at home in the last few weeks Backpool, Exeter, Fleetwood and Burton. Our home form would have been better and higher up the home form table had we won those 4. We would also be on 55 points the same as Oxford in 6th place (which was the point I think Huntyhunt was trying to make)
