Totally agree. I have to pass there stadium on my way to Rovers. Looks fantastic. And I'm starting to believe that the only way I will be able to watch Championship football is to watch from there. Baggsie first to say it….see ya then😂 Well I did watch my very first professional game there on the 16th December 1961. For the next 5/6 years me & my dad did both grounds until I only went to Eastville from around 1967/68. From 1970 I went home & away with Rovers until about 2 years a go where I only go to home games now. ( still a 80 mile round trip ). Before I stop going all together I wish to see Championship football -- Not too much to ask. Is it ?

Can't think of any examples of clubs falling into ruin after getting a new stadium (Darlington apart, an unfeasible vanity project by a nutjob owner). Quite the reverse at Brighton, Brentford, Swansea, Rotherham etc etc. Most of these stadiums were built with some level of finance i.e debt. If our new owners are unable to raise what is needed for us to achieve what everyone knows we need to get to the next level then can't really figure out why they got involved in the first place. A proper, modern stadium would attract a lot of new fans, a slightly tarted up Mem will not Why don't we want a top drawer stadium to be proud of. Not talking a billion stadium, but something that half decent... Don't have to travel very far to see what a decent ground looks like. Totally agree. I have to pass there stadium on my way to Rovers. Looks fantastic. And I'm starting to believe that the only way I will be able to watch Championship football is to watch from there.

I'm surprised how many are voting for Mangan. Based on what? A game we could easily have lost against Northampton and a win against Whitby. I'm not saying he shouldn't be considered but I'd want to see at least another 3 or 4 games first. I couldn't vote for Mangan right now. However, some positive results and performances over the next 2 or 3 weeks could make him a frontrunner. And I am willing to bet if Mangan gets the job and we are below half way in March these same people will be saying why did we ever pick him.

Give John Terry ago at it, why not. Sound him out and see what comes of it. Better that a lot of the suggestions on here. Could, and will do with the ones mentioned , a lot worse. UTG. Well if the people wanted Barton out they sure would'nt want this horrible bully in. Blokes a See you next tuesday.

The owners will spend the least possible to get the maximum results. The Mem site isnt worth spending vast fortunes on.Its too limited on income sources. If thats the case . Why are we bothering then ? I reckon if these new owners knew all the facts ( which they should have done ) They would never have bought the club. Basically it seems we are just going to tart up a delapalated old ground. ie polishing a turd. I don't reckon they will be around long either.

East Stand > North Stand > West Stand by the time they get back to the South Stand then that'll probably be another decade gone. As the club has always said in the past that redeveloping the Mem is not viable, how has it suddenly become viable for the new owners? The South and is a bang for buck expansion. gives the seats at fair price. Had we done it professionally (local stakeholder engagement etc) it would have been quick. etc. this would then free up the west stand to be developed if it were ever needed. If ever needed ?? Well it is needed ASAP. The stand looks like a cricket pavillian. Parts of it are held together by rust with a vast amount dropping on peoples heads over the course of a season. Its a bloody eyesore.

He might be heading to Bristol tbf, just not the right side for us. Please let them appoint Nathan Jones. Just pure brilliance if they do. Maybe the best thing for our club to do is interview the two City turn down from that list ( praying Nathan Jones ) is not one of them . At least we will save on the petrol costs.

I've always said this, build a new east stand behind the existing one, re-orientate the pitch to make it behind the goal, enlarge and extend the South and North sides of the ground which would have more length and depth and then finally redevelop the west which would also have more depth if the pitch moved further east. That’s a great idea. And another option could be to still move everything east without turning the pitch round. Build a new east stand, behind the existing one, which would allow the whole ground to stay at full capacity while it is being built. Moving the pitch east would allow more space for a bigger west stand. I don't think they have the money to build a new East stand. That is why they are going to add to each side. Not sure how they're going to raise much money at all if they keep losing millions every season and the playing budget won't be affected. With people choosing to purchase food &drinks in Gloucester road outlets I can see the tents coming back-- Mind you they'll be upgraded by then.

Wrong choice in my opinion but if it's what they can afford then so be it. With regards to affordability . Where is the money coming from to do this re-build. Are they that rich or will they have to borrow ? If borrow will this affect the playing budget ?

Can I ask -- What is happening to the West stand ? That really should be knocked down first. Not only an eyesore but I'm fed up with rust dropping on me during games.

He's right mate. Keep believing we are going to redevelop the Mem into something fitting of 21st century. This patch up job is exactly the sort of thing why the Teds endlessly have the last laugh at us. FFS. I mean I find it quite funny that you’re going to write the new owners off after *checks notes* 2 months but wanted to give a bloke who’s been diabolical for us in this division for over 70 games more time. To be fair to the new owner . It sounded like he was apologising when he said it would be a 16k stadium hopefully rising to 18K. He knows himself it won't be enough to sustain Championship football. Singupgas is quite right in what he is saying. I honestly believe we will carry on being a yoyo club between divisions 3 & 4 and in time when these owners realise we are going nowhere they will leave.

If your such a Rovers fan why can't you spot them yourself ? If its true you don't go and watch the club -- Why the interest anyway ? Did you stop going because of JB ? was it earlier you stopped going ? or have you never been ? I'm simply interested on why someone who never goes is very interested in the clubs afairs. Read the post again me old fruit , he does actually say ‘I’m gonna get in there early’ Point taken -- Sorry GGMI I apologise.

I do wish the super fans would be a little more sympathetic to the casuals. Pretty sure GGMI was a long time ST holder who has recently started a new family. Not everyone is able to get to every game for a lot of different reasons. Would be lovely if we could stop attacking one another for a bit. Super Fan -- Well well, Never been called that before.

I'm gonna get in there early. Times like this everyone is looking round at who is in the crowd watching. Managers out of contract etc. Let me know who you spot today 😁 If your such a Rovers fan why can't you spot them yourself ? If its true you don't go and watch the club -- Why the interest anyway ? So bad of me!! How dare I forget to thank Gary Thompson for taking us to Derby and knocking out a Premiership team in the FA cup! Let’s also thank Holloway for the 5th round FA cup at Barnsley and Trollope for the Quarter Finals in the FA Cup as well. Best Mem squad ever someone said today, that said blokes in Georgia looking for rigged election voting slips still today 😂 *Lymstone, I’m not too worried you are embarrassed for me, I’m embarrassed by some of our fans, making out he was some messiah! The OTIB think we are embarrassing, I mean who sets up a CHANGE.org campaign to bring Barton back. I'm sorry to say . Once I thought you were a pretty good poster. Now I just think you have come back on this forum to stir the sh**.

Mick McCarthy would be a very good choice. His assistant used to be Terry Connor who used to be at Rovers now coach of Grenada I'm sure Connor has already been sacked by Rovers for bullying players.

I like Karl Robinson although doesn’t seem popular on here. I feel we need a big character as JB was a huge character, and 99% of the squad is his. Leam Richardson did very well at Wigan also. None of this nostalgia about Ollie or DC for f**k sake. What’s he achieved to say he’s got it to push us into the championship? Richardson isn’t a bad shout, there is better out there IMO. Fully behind throwing everything at getting Eustace if there’s a sniff of a chance. Interesting comments from Blues fans on Talk Sport today. Although they don't think Rooney is the right appointment. To a man they all agreed sacking Eustace was the right decision. One even said it was the worst type of football he had ever seen at St. Andrews.
