Get the R.A.T.S (rovers away travel service)up and running again and get a train sortedš¤£š¤£ Would probably cost a small fortune these days ,but some great memories of travelling to away games at Ipswich, arsenal and Swansea back in the day šUTG I remember going by train on what I think was the first RATS away day, Fulham I think. Was also my first away game, the manager Bobby Campbell patted me on the head and said "well done, son" when my dad told him.

Looks a very tidy player, good movement and a nice touch. Impressed with The Shots all over tbh, Tommy W looks to be doing a cracking job there. The young Head of Recruitment at Aldershot, Jamie Hedges, is a Bristol Rovers fan. Doing an excellent job there and has a great eye for a player. Disgracefully forced out of the club by Barton. Our loss is now Aldershot's gain (and before that Kings Lynn). gaschat.co.uk/thread/21718/gashead-jamie-hedgesThat's awful, glad to see he's recovered from the experience and is forging on. Wonder how he's developed that skill at such a young age, my money would be on playing a lot of Football Manager lol

Josh Stokes looks a player (one of pirates one to watch I think) Also Callum Camps playing well, very comfortable on the ball and can glide past players easily. Were we in for him at some point? Looks a very tidy player, good movement and a nice touch. Impressed with The Shots all over tbh, Tommy W looks to be doing a cracking job there.

All I can find for any footage, Leeds fan went along to the game last night. Captures most of the Gas goals well enough, some decent finishes in therešš»Lad seemed to enjoy the rovers away experience as well. Cheers, was a good watch that. Interesting to hear what he said when Collins went down for what was claimed to be a nailed-on penalty, lad really needs to stay on his feet...

My first ever running the line was at Gresty Road v Torquay.Tony Waddington was manager but Dario Gradi later spent yonks there. The refs room in the old stand was so tiny we had to go into the corridor to receive the pre match team sheets. The new build dominates their ground now and is used extensively for all sorts of things.Went to a wedding reception there.Great chippy opp the ground. The play 'Marvellous' starring Toby Jones was filmed there and at Wrexham even though the story was set at Stoke's Victoria Ground. Just had a look online that is a big stand. Would love it if we could build a stand like that in replacement of the east stand. But we can't afford that?!? We don't have the resources to compete with the likes of the mighty Crewe Alexandra! No, we need to cut our cloth accordingly and order another big box of Meccano and fill in the gaps, not be worrying about pie in the sky plans like proper stands that all the other clubs have!

Is this a kit that will be worn more than the once ? If it becomes the new away strip those that bought the current away strip will be rightly peeved. Can we actually wear it for a competitive match with no club sponsors etc shown on it, before the usual suspects start throwing insults I've no idea what the answer is? From the launch article on the club website: "Rovers will debut the kit against Cheltenham this Saturday with black shorts and socks being paired with the new top to give an authentic feel."

Anyone but Bristol Sport 1982 Ltd, I'll even settle for Peterborough away than that lot Knowing our luck we'll now draw them at the Mem and then their fans will vandalise our new stand just after it's opened. Just have to make sure the stewards are told to search fans for Allen keys

Anyone but Bristol Sport 1982 Ltd, I'll even settle for Peterborough away than that lot Really? Not keen on us upsetting the locals by packing the away end and belting out Irene for 90 mins? If we were drawn away we'd have nothing to lose as most would expect us to get beat. Get a cheeky 1-1 draw, Big Chris Martin sticking one in at the East end in injury time and then back to ours for a juicy televised replay.

The South Glocs site has been mentioned a few times as a possible location for us. If this is the site a previous poster mentioned we turned down, why did we do that and why have the cricket club grasped the opportunity? Nuts isn't it? We should have done exactly what the cricket club are planning and be selling the current site to developers for a fortune and then using the money to build a modern stadium on cheaper land elsewhere.

Is everyone assuming we will be playing 3 at the back (or 5 whichever way you look at it)? I thought I heard him say he plays in a way that suits the players he has available? Personally, Iām not convinced that formation works for our squad. It limits the amount of our best attacking players we can get into the starting XI. I think we are far better playing 4-2-3-1. I donāt think we weāll see too much change in personnel in his first few games but hopefully see a more aggressive style, higher tempo and more purpose to our build up play. Really looking forward to the Cheltenham game to see what unfolds !! Looking at his Rotherham lineups this season, he seems quite flexible. While they set up at 532 a few times, he also employed 433 and 4231. I think he may stick to the latter formations initially as the players are used to these, with 532 perhaps tried out on the training ground until he's confident that we have the players for it.

Me too, definitely prefer him to JCH. Can't see it though, didn't Rotherham sign him for a record fee in the summer? Roughly the same fee we were prepared to pay for a soon to be 30-year-old. If we gave them the same money back they could he tempted and if things aren't right off the pitch Nombe might be inclined to move back south and play again for the manager that got a tune out of him previously. Oh really, guessed it would've been more. Only 1 goal for them this season so hopefully they'll be hoping to offload!

Why do we want to sign players that have failed to do it in the Championship if that is where we want to end up. Clearly not good enough. Would love Nombe here. Me too, definitely prefer him to JCH. Can't see it though, didn't Rotherham sign him for a record fee in the summer?

My source tells me the hold up is due to them wanting to take the photos of the new manager is the South Stand but they're waiting for the safety certificate. Also, with no lights there nobody can make out who it is. #IWorkInFootball
