I’m not sure if this has been mentioned on the forum before as I’ve only been back on 2 months, sorry if it has.
Aldershot sat in the play offs in the National League, only just stayed up last season with Tommy Widdrington coming in to keep them up.
The head of player recruitment at Aldershot is a proper Gashead, explained all in the the following link
Him and Tommy are obviously doing something right, good to see a Gashead doing well in the game utilising an average non league budget.
This isn’t me being a recruitment agent for Jamie, never spoke to him before, if anyone of his family or friends are reading, would love to hear your views. I was tipped off on a player a couple of weeks ago but a football club programme editor and he mentioned “one of your lot works” works for them, again sorry if it’s been mentioned on here before.

Unfortunately lost from the Gas due to mistreatment during the Barton era. Would be great to get him back at some stage, but in the meantime, good luck to the Shots.

Good post Roadman. Know Jamie well, a great lad with incredible football knowledge. Knows more at his age than I have ever done or ever will, at more than twice his age! Unfortunately lost from the Gas due to mistreatment during the Barton era. Would be great to get him back at some stage, but in the meantime, good luck to the Shots. Forced out of the club after Barton tried humiliating him for not being able to do a certain amount of keep ups. Disgusting. Jamie has a superb knowledge of players and football and our loss was Kings Lynn and now Aldershot's gain. Should never have been allowed to leave. |

Scouts queuing up to watch this lad, I’m not sure Tommy would sell him us with Jennings here still but I could see the sh** going in for him, Manning really rated him at Oxford |

And re this, I didn’t realise it was him, I knew one person was made to do this and left the training humiliated, the players and staff were left in shock. I thought it was one of the groundsman due to the injuries re pitches but I know Barton did this to an individual |

Scouts queuing up to watch this lad, I’m not sure Tommy would sell him us with Jennings here still but I could see the sh** going in for him, Manning really rated him at Oxford Yeah he came to my attention after Stokes was unfortunately released by Ipswich at U16s level and then a year or so later was scoring 2 goals and assisting for AFC Sudbury U18s vs Ipswich in a Suffolk FA U18 Midweek Cup final game at Colchester United's Community Stadium. I tipped off Jamie about Stokes when he was head of recruitment at Kings Lynn and kept on to him every week about the lad because he was scoring and assisting virtually every week. Jamie monitored him closely and then when he got the Aldershot job Jamie he had Stokesy lined up to sign. |

Whatever went wrong under Garner (Maybe it was Garner all along) Widdrington has shone at Aldershot. I think I remember people questioning why he would leave Kings Lyn at the top of the table, to manage Aldershot at the bottom of the next league up. Oh and Nans up and down the country thinks his son is lovely. 😍 |

Oh and Nans up and down the country thinks his son is lovely. 😍 Yes Widdrington has a superb record since leaving the club and is again punching above his weight at Aldershot who have a bottom half budget. Great job being done by both Jamie and Tommy and wouldn't surprise me if they were both back working in the football league sooner rather than later. |
