Didn't anyone read the comments from the Grimsby supporter earlier. He said conteh would be wasted unless we play through the back. We don't anymore since Barton got the sack. Funny how people on here seem to only read what they want to read. We played around at the back not through it.

I agree that he deserves criticism for past performances but I thought he played ok tonight. He was involved in most of the moves later in the 2nd half with some good passing and link up play. Agreed, he seemed positive, always looking to play a pass forward instead of back. I actually think we should give him a run in the team and focus play through him. The good couple of chances we had at the end had him involved one or two passes just before. He was the only one to my memory who was looking to go forward and keep the ball on the deck. Our only threatening period came after he came on.

Thankfully after the Oxford game we have a week off as this team clearly needs it. Then it's another 4 games in 10 days which for such a thin squad we could really do without.

Absolutely zero service for the strikers and a non existent midfield.

Only 4 points off 20th......
Would be just 4 points above relegation if it wasn't for Reading's deduction.

Something that frustrated me about the ref is that according to his Wikipedia page he's the only ref in the EFL to have played the game professionally. Yet he let all the time wasting go and numerous other incidents that you'd think an ex-player would pick up on.

He was Miles off side. Not a lot in it tonight. We had enough chanced to bury them. Story of our season, missed some glorious opps, and they take theirs. They were OK, lightning going forward, but very very very dodgy at the back. If LFC put a half decent side out they'll get absolutely murdered. Personally I want them to. Had some real Offensive in that team. £30m for Rowe... Clown spent most of the time moaning and falling over. Ashley Barnes was awful - he came on as sub and already looked like he had played 120 for thr reserves this afternoon. Absolute carthorse Have you seen the highlights ? I’ve just watched them and he’s miles onside for the first. The second was never a penalty the forward has bought that totally and the officials fell for it. Can’t see any handball for the third at what point was there a handball ? When we were attacking it was just outside their penalty area, they then clear and go straight up the other end and score.

Only positive is Blackpool playing ET will tire them for Saturday Tonight we saw the gap between an average league one side and an average champ side. We are a way off sadly Yeah was thinking the same that was a bit of an wye opener the level you'd need to be at to compete in the Championship.

Tonight wasn't unlucky at all. We got what we deserved. Norwich didn't even want this, they were urging us to win. Sh*t 2nd half and capitulated. Think capitulated is a bit much. Their pace always looked like it was going to cause us some problems and eventually it did. Then fitness told and we got a bit of a lesson at times. On another night a couple more of our chances go in and it's a different story.

Hi Topper, I'm not saying that it is touts/greedy fans, but I was told that some were on the 'internet' boasting about how they had 10 tickets for the game and saying that they hadn't seen Rovers for years. I'm not saying they are touts, but buying ten tickets at a time would explain why it was sold out so quickly/ Don't believe everything you read on the Internet. Half the people are WUM with nothing better to do. Obviously something has gone wrong and when a solution is found then a statement will be made. Also how can people turn up with tickets to get in surely they haven't been sent out yet as I have purchased mine and have confirmation but no link for a digital ticket so was expecting a paper ticket to be sent. I choose print at home and then add it to Google wallet on my phone which I have already done. I am not a season ticket holder though so no idea how this is going to turn out.

I logged in just after 7 and there were already only a handful left in the Thatchers End even at that stage. I refuse to believe they sold out that quick. I reckon quite a few still have their reservations secure which they haven’t found. Very poor communication from the club, wouldn’t have hurt for it initially been on sale to ST holders for 24 hours or so first. Yeah the whole thing was playing up last night. My payment wouldn't work when trying to buy a Section 1 ticket in the North Terrace so I tried section 2 instead and it worked. Maybe they stopped all sales as they could see there was an issue and didn't want to sell out before season ticket holders could get theirs?

Switch to 442 nearly cost us. We really need a left back as Vale is decent as a wing back but is no full back.

Well done the team. Well deserved win with everyone putting in a shift. Taylor and Thomas were MOM, can’t decide who but it doesn’t matter, both immense. Vale’s inexperience at full back gave the goal away but he had a great game otherwise, always pressing on that side and his delivery matches that of Evans. AC had a decent game I thought and his awareness in the box made the assist to score the winner. Grant Ward does so much without too many plaudits but you can see the difference when he’s not there. And Finley looks a rejuvenated player, always a down-to-earth, straight talking player who has responded well to Matt Taylor’s straightforward approach. Strangely I thought the referee had a decent game, let the game flow, didn’t make any major errors that changed the game. I wasn’t sure about the penalty, others closer to it might have seen it better. He could have been a bit harder on some of the Charlton tackles but I’ve seen far worse. Great attitude to overcome the disappointment of giving the goal away and come back and win it. Well done Matt Taylor to have galvanised someone else’s squad and get 3 wins against good sides. Must be doing the right things. 👏👏👏 UTG! Thought the ref was abysmal. The first goal masked him missing a stonewall penalty.

Suicidal and stupid. Better off letting Collins score than get banned for three games. Idiot. Professional fouls aren't three games I don't think just violent conduct

Treating Mrs Rodders to a long weekend away, drive up Friday and back on Monday. I might go as well. Looking forward to it! (Cue the arrival of deep snow over the first weekend of Jan). I actually tried to go to a game at Carrrow Road in the early 2000s as I was staying with family near there. Think it was against Brighton. Heavy snow as the players warmed up and the game got postponed. Obviously didn't go to the rearranged game. Still haven't ticked it off of my list of grounds visited since 😂

The few times the crowd actually made a bit of noise it really bounced back off of the new stand. Big crowd for the Xmas games should create a really good atmosphere.
