It's not nice being a ROVERS fan these days, I'm feeling really down about our club. I have lost any faith I had. I think this is as good as it's going to get an average league 1 team. Hope I am wrong but don't think I am Better than being a poor Conference one though. Rovers have more or less only ever been an average 3rd tier club for me so I'm not really sure what you were expecting. So what you're saying is not to have ambitions and just except lower level. You see so many smaller clubs like Burton who are better than us. Sorry that's a losing mentality in my opinion.

GD also bled as much money back out of the club as he put in. Especially during our time at the Beeches training ground. Players staying at the hotel that were on loan and the hotel billing the club. GD was on a good screw. If you make accusations evidence please Well they had to stay somewhere. How do you know GD was not offering low rates for the accommodation? GD also wrote off a huge amount of interest owed to him by Rovers for loans.

I still believe the major sticking point was funding. DS needed or wanted outside funding. We all know the main value of the property is the land as selling a stadium without land the value is a lot less. Hence why the Mem was originally sold for good money and still will be. The Mem stadium is worth peanuts.

I thought Wael said they wanted to own the land in his interview. If so a deal was never going to happen.

What I still don't understand is the following. Hick Higgs was happy to lease the land from uwe. DS wanted to purchase the land. Uwe and our director said we were very close to signing the paper work but Wael indicated that the land was never really for sale and leasing was the only option. What is the truth? What is contradictory about that? We were close to signing a deal for the lease, but decided not to coz UWE were not willing to concede other factors that could have mitigated the deal. I thought Wael said they wanted to own the land in his interview. If so a deal was never going to happen

For the record I'm a ex Sainsburys manager so I know how they work a little better than most. They are ruthless and only care about the shareholders profits etc. They treat suppliers and staff with the same contempt. Check recent history how they have shafted many other companies the same way they treated Rovers. I agree our old directors were not the best but I will never forgive Sainsburys for the way that acted against us.

As you will probably know Sainsburys have bought Argos.
I will never shop in Sainsburys again and now I won't shop at Argos.
Why don't we all keep reserving goods from Argos stores but never collect them. I have done this several times and have a smile on my face when I receive emails and text reminding me to pay and collect my goods.
Imagine several thousand Rovers fans doing this on a regular basis. Will cause stock problems in some stores with a bit of luck.

Listening to Geoff Dunford on Having A Gas, several things struck me. First and foremost, he sounds to be in poor health. It was alluded to,at the start of the interview, and GD explianed he has changes his diet, lost weight and given up,alcohol and as a result was feeling a lot better. I think he must have major respiratory problems b cause he sounded like Darth Vader, gasping , spluttering and clearing his throat. I hope that he recovers his health because, with his father, he saved our club from extinction. The second thing that struck me was the truly parlours state of the club when they took over. Insolvent in fact and should have shut down. £250k debts and the only asset was the Hambrook training ground which was valued,at £110k. They formed a company to buy Hambrook for £250k with 20 directors each contributing £12500. In that way they were able to clear the club debts! He also said that a lot of clubs(lower leagues?) are in a worse position than Rovers because they no longer own their own stadiums. That surprised me. One thing I noticed, and I think that was very courteous of him, was that he didn't really mention the Al Quadi's, didn't say how they should spend their money etc. I gained the impression he is a gentleman, and I would think a good source of advice for the new owners. Things look good. UTG I have always respected Geoff views and honesty. Met him quite a few times. He is and always will be a gentleman in my view and can't thank him enough and his family for saving our club. Hope your health improves quickly Geoff.

I was on a supporters coach and whilst waiting to leave there were about 20/30 Coventry fans trying it on but the police had it under control.

Although I have no doubt MT is going I'm surprised sky sport news are not even mentioning it at all.

Does Taylor not fully appreciate how much we despise City? I can't think there's one Gas Head who will wish him well at Trashton. Huge error on his part IMO. Huge error? MT is a professional football player and have no real affection for any club. His salary will probably triple and he will not have to move his family. Gutted if he leaves but I can't blame him if I'm being totally honest.
