We are going nowhere except downwards unless real investment is made into the stadium, training ground and the squad.
Wake up to the real world. These owners have no available money or won’t invest if they have.
We will hover between league 1 and 2 unless there is a change in investment and mentality.
The supporters are the only reason why some believe we are a bigger club than we are.

How on Earth have you taken that from an article which I said summarizes Holloway? Did you even read it or does your blind love for the man cloud your judgement? Holloway is a leach desperate for attention. He is a liar with no sense of loyalty (he just has it when someone pays him) Holloway said he wanted QPR to beat us (some fan) Holloway (when angling for the City job years ago) was asked about his support at Rovers, he said he supports all sport in Bristol. He was at Plymouth and said "cut me I bleed green" (some fan) He only ever attends Rovers games when he is paid by Sky, BT, BBC, ITV etc. And now look at him, he doesn't have a job so he is suddenly trying to claim his love & devotion to Bristol Rovers again. get a grip, you absolute beaut, you obviously don’t like him, negative energy. Have a day off👍🏽 But Gassy is right what he states. Whether you like Holloway or not let’s not hide from the truth.

Does anyone think we're down whatever happens next ? keeping GC or getting a new manager ? The board apparently aren't going to provide cash for signings and we haven't got the goals in us to win many games ? A slight contradiction to the last comment -can we hope Jakubiak and Reilly might yet deliver as they hardly ever got a start under DC ? There's no evidence the board aren't going to spend money for signings just because they told DC (even if he was told?) he wouldn't be given funds that doesn't mean they won't give the new manager funds, if they just wanted to accept the cheapest option they could have just stuck with DC and let him lead us back to Div 2. If we get to January 31 with no decent signings that's the time to start for preparing for trips to Cheltenham and the like again. I heard a interview recently on radio Bristol from either the chairman or ceo clearly saying we have spent out maximum budget and there will be no new signings unless others are released.

Spot on. Absolutely spot on. And he connected with us in a way that probably only Gerry and Ollie did before him. I hope that he gets the send off he deserves on Saturday and his name is sung from the rafters. After that, we have to move on as it will do the club no good to be torn apart, but the man deserves one hell of a tribute first. I'd put him higher than both Gerry and Ollie. As a manager Ian gave us some great times but didnt do anything.Gerry first spell is that of legend at our club but for pure importance to our club no one comes close to DC imho. I am a huge DC fan and very upset with his departure. However I can’t see how you can compare him with GF. Gerry managed us at a non league ground not owned by us and training at a chocolate factory. With hardly any spending budget we won the old 3rd division as champions. First ever visit to Wembley and we maintained in the top half of the old division 2 until he left to his love of qpr. I’m sure most will agree we would love to be in this position now. I dread to think what his budget must of been as he loaned the club the money to bring back Holloway. Best of luck DC but sorry not in Gerry’s league in my opinion.

I just listen to this online. He seems to be indicating moving to a new stadium and not a complete rebuild of the Mem.

Just look at the stadium Henbury, you think thats before the game? No knowledge? Let's talk abour lack on knowledge shall we? HenburyGas - known on the forum to talk out of his arse 24/7 and you told me that "I'm in the know of what's going on with the stadium and I can't name names but now Sainsbury's have pulled out, we're still building the stadium with a certain shop that is similar to Lidl - also of German origin, is going to buy our land and we'll build our stadium." So how about you cut the crap & perhaps, why don't you give me some proof where I'm having a moan about something I have no knowledge about? Where have I done that? I'd love to see your evidence. In fact, I'd love to see any evidence of the constant nonsense you spout. Or wait, did your made up contact in your made up world tell you again? Get in there 1-0 to the Gassy 2 nil to Gassy. Completely agree with that.

The only thing I found interesting was UWE was not discounted as before. If memory serves me well I’m sure Wael said it was dead. Am I correct that UWE are also building some type of training ground? Probably living in dream land but that’s the positive I can think of.

There have been talks about a statue of Geoff Dunford for all he have done for our club.
I think it is upto us fans to make it happen.
What's everyone thoughts on this?

Out of interest was Wael or any members of the family at the match yesterday?
I did not see them and I thought they would be represented on this occasion. Apologies if I missed them.

How do you know what I said or thought? We are spending way beyond our means and losing more money every year with no sign of any new ground or creating extra revenue. If you are happy with how things are going then that's you opinion and I respect that like I would expect you to respect mine.

Won't that come out of the 10 million pound loan secured again the Mem being charged interest on? What happens when that runs out and we have no more assets?

So what you're saying is not to have ambitions and just except lower level. You see so many smaller clubs like Burton who are better than us. Sorry that's a losing mentality in my opinion. I see nothing wrong with a bit of sustainability for the next couple of years. You genuinely believe that with our current set up in regards to training ground, stadium , squad is championship ready ? We are light years behind the likes of burton.... yes you heard me correctly , burton. our stadium is a dump , and we are currently borrowing our training facilities, commercially we are also a joke. Wael made his intentions quite clear when he first arrived that the club would grow organically and that he wouldn't be splashing the cash. If we were to go up to the championship now , we would be the whipping boys and most probably do a Yeovil. It's not a losing mentality it's called planing for a sustainable future UTG That's not the point. There seem to be no real investment only money borrowed against our assets with a rumour 6% interest being charge. I for one don't have a lot of faith that the new owners will deliver.
