I take yesterdays result kind of like going 1-0 down in the opening 5 mins of a game. Would rather it happen then than in the 80th minute. We now have time to dust ourselves down and get back in it.

I'm not going to look into it in quite such detail, however, I believe we can and will catch Oxford. If we win our game in hand we will only be 2 points off them - and I think we'll make that ground up. Northampton will take one of the spots, but there are 2 to play for as far as I see it. Plymouth will not be top 3 IMO. They are not in great form, and I can't see them getting the required form kickstarted. Therefore I wouldn't be surprised to see both us and Accington finish top 3. Now it's just time to take care of ourselves. I believe we can win EVERY game we have, and even if we don't - the others will drop points. I'm excited for the journey. If we do fail to finish top 3 I won't be massively gutted. Our future is bright and who knows, we might just win the play offs. Plymouth have won the previous 2 though so maybe they were just on a blip? Not convincingly by any stretch. York are a DIRE side and even though Plymouth were 3-0 up, York came back to 3-2. Plymouths run in isn't the easiest and I think they'll fail to make the cut.

Good original post and in agreement with a lot of it. Had a really enjoyable day in Carlise, despite the result. For a neutral, it would've been 'an entertaining game', but for me, it showed our defensive frailties a bit too much. Last time we shipped 3 was at Portsmouth I believe, so if we can rectify that in the same way, we'll be fine. Lots of people (who didn't go), saying we missed Lockyer and whilst I believe we wouldn't have made the same errors with him, we didn't have him on Friday and kept a clean sheet. I thought O Clarke looked weak in the first 15 mins, so was 50% happy with DC's ballsy double sub. However, it worked, so fair play. Actually thought Easter was class when he came on and was unlucky not to score. Also thought LL controlled the middle well, although between he and Lines we don't have a ball winner. I really want Lines to be great for us, but he was so frustrating yesterday. He knows how to pick a good pass and I'm not denying his quality but whilst his heart may be in the right place, I'm not sure his head is. The majority of his passes are sideways or backwards, he doesn't tackle, he picked up a needless booking (whether the ref got that right or not, I don't know for sure), but after that he couldn't get anywhere near the Carlisle attackers, in fear of a second yellow. Chris Lines in L2 should be a cracking player, but in the games I've seen him play for us, I'm not certain what he adds. Anyway, really not too disappointed with the defeat. Disappointed to have conceded three average goals, but the match officials' decisions (for both sides) really didn't help matters. We won 6 in a row prior to yesterday, so now let's go one better and try to win 7 in a row... Top marks to the other 650 fans that travelled, it's a long way! On we go! UTG I think you're being a bit harsh on Lines there - I think he's been fantastic recently and I also include yesterday. I think he is adapting his ball winning side of the game well and improving every time I see him. I think we may just have to chalk it off as a bad day at the office unfortunately, in terms of performance in defence and in terms of luck going against us a bit.

That is just NOT true. We changed formation entirely and Montaño was the only player that could make way to make that change, and the change worked. It wasn't our day but Lawrence played a very deep central role, NOT as a left winger. Just a thought but given we were on a 6 game winning streak/Carlisle without a win in 6 games, then shouldn't they have been worrying about changing their formation to contain us, rather than the other way round? Maybe that is the stance to take at the start of a game but the fact is they were dictating play, be that just because they were on their game or because we were not, and if we had not have made the change I wouldn't have been surprised to see us go in at 3-0 down. It is a sign of how good a manager Darrell is that on a day that was very clearly 'not ours', he had the guts to change it and to such good effect. Though the result may be a loss - we didn't deserve a loss in my honest opinion. If we hadn't changed after 20 I would have honestly expected to lose by 3.

Montano is one of the reasons why we won 6 on the bounce, i think it is fair to say that he was only in the side because of the injury sustained to lawrence at notts county, today lawrence is back so montano is sacrificed. That is just NOT true. We changed formation entirely and Montaño was the only player that could make way to make that change, and the change worked. It wasn't our day but Lawrence played a very deep central role, NOT as a left winger.

what? Don't sit there getting all stressy. Are you on the inside? Do you know for a fact that nobody in the club is talking to West Brom about him? Tell us why you're so sure that those speculating are wrong? Not just your opinion, but your facts. Who have you spoken to from within the club?? UTG I can't tell if you're joking. It was started as a complete joke on Twitter yesterday. Somehow it found its way onto here and is becoming less blatantly a joke every time I see a post. It was always a joke. I don't need to be Wael's best mate to know that, Rickie Lambert ain't coming and we won't have even considered it. If you mentioned this to DC he would absolutely water himself.

I must admit I just find it hard to believe we could go on the sort of form that appears possible on paper. Aside from Northampton, every single game is very winnable. The toughest probably being this weekends 2 tbh. Unreal really. I just can't see us not slipping up at some point. So with this pessimism in mind, i hope someone else slips up too!

Clearly I was too harsh, Rovers ended up 5th for me, with Accy making 3rd. Northampton 109 Oxford 95 Accy 91 Plymouth 88 Rovers 86 Accy, Oxford and Northampton winning every remaining game? I think in a bid to be unbiased I may have in fact been biased to the other sides. Oops.

This is a massive game make no mistake. They're a decent side and if we want to finish top 3 we really cannot afford to have any slip ups now. It's going to be a nervy one. Can't wait though.
