You must be kidding. They dont know their ass from their elbow on matters such as this Look I'm not really in the know about supporters club politics or the corridors of power, only used the coach a few times. Just coming from a general perspective, why go to the expense of the legal dispute unless you're absolutely sure you have a case? You sounds like Higgs, watertight I believe 😉

Accept C*ty loan youngsters into our ranks & you have absolutely no case, when bemoaning the gulf between the two Bristol clubs. Unless you're blind there is a gulf at the moment in footballing terms, so let's not delude ourselves. The only way we close that is a stadium and getting to the championship, so I will take better players from anywhere to achieve that. At the moment the only thing we win is we have better fans, who will be true, what ever is thrown at us, but when I see some of the comments on here I do worry.

What rubbish, I hear on here. If it makes us better and gives us an improved chance of being in the same league as them get him in. Small mindedness never gets you anywhere

Guys before you laugh. I live just south of Warrington and Bristol has the potential to be a fantastic place. (born and bread there) but when I see what Liverpool and Manchester have achieved in development compared to Bristol, it make me cry. Both have totally changed making it a dynamic place to live where as Bristol seems to change at such a slow rate. A real shame as it has the potential to be much better than both.

Just tried it too. Light years better than the old site, and with it rejoined after letting it lapse for a couple of years. Very smooth. Hopefully the start of a modernization all the way through.

Anyone in the know if the club are looking to offer quid a kid or cheap student tickets for these games? I would expect attendences to drop for these games, so the marketing dept might try and offer some incentives. £1 off food so fans go straight to the gamed rather than going home etc. PS there were quite a few students on Tues v Yeovil taking advantage of cheap tickets. I doubt it, the price of a pint will probably be put up to cover people not attending games I am fed up with people complaining about prices. I travel to most away games and we are no better or worse. Somebody can always quote the cheaper one or the more expensive one. Just buy what you can afford and move on.

At the final whistle against Mansfield on that fateful day I genuinely thought that it was the end of us, I really did. I still remember it like it was yesterday , it was also the first time that I had cried over anything football related. Look where we are today ! Dc and the boys that got us promoted at the first time of asking will always be real heroes in my eyes , whilst it was embarrassing being in that league , I had never enjoyed watching the gas as much and I think that team also gave us something to be forever proud of. As sh** as it can be at times , I always stop and think that it could of all been a lot worse !! I’m not a happy clapper , I just really appreciate where we are now and what could of been ! UTG !!! Best post I have read in ages. Used to live in Stockport and how they would love to be us today!

What did we receive "insurance money" for? Have seen it mentioned a few times, but no idea what it relates to - thanks. Apparently, the bar had water damage from either a flood or a burst pipe (or something), and the insurance payout was used for the refurbishment. I think you will find that’s still spending money, plus it’s good business if you can get company’s like Macron to invest in the club. What’s not to like!

Jack Marriott was only 21/22 during that season in L2 and is clearly still improving; Payne is 27 on Friday.
Also, as I keep saying, it's not all about goals. Harrison was strong, powerful and good in the air. He could hold the ball up or travel 50 yards in possession like at Doncaster. He had fantastic work rate, tracked back and headed more set pieces out of our box than both our centre backs. From what I've read on the Shrews forum Payne tocks none of those boxes.
I liked Ellis, but let’s stop thinking he was “all powerful”. He was great at defensive headers, but how often did he score goals with head, rare. Often his first touch was poor, and yes he could run with the ball but often into blind alleys. He has bags of potential, and hopefully he comes championship material. At the moment he is just a good league 1 striker. Payne, who knows, but he knows where the net is, and in this crazy world of over inflated prices, probably about as good as were going to get if you want somebody with experience, so let’s give him a chance.

I love this, we need to pay a fee. DC knows what he's doing so let's just see how the next 3 weeks pan out.
Also do you think DC or Matty would be here if they did not think owners had the potential to grow the club. Just keeping them shows the owners put there money where their mouth is. #evolution not revolution

Hamer has just said what a lot of us think. I'm a member of the SC and was angry to read the rubbish he wrote. Time to build bridges and as a number have said, time for JC to move on! Bridges aren't built by publicly slagging someone off... You should have mentioned that to JC then. He was the one who lit the blue touch paper. Yes it now takes two to make an argument, but if both sides learn from this we might just end up stronger. My concern is I'm not sure the old guard can. Let's hope I'm wrong.

I do love this forum. People waffle on about things they know nothing about, and then want others to worry about it. The wonders of the internet age !
