Has collapsed on the pitch at Bournemouth. Game stopped. Hope and pray it’s nothing serious!

Yeah I thought that. She doesn’t know when to up the volume in her voice. Why suddenly sound excited when the ball goes out for a throw or something ??!!! You clearly think radio commentary is simple. I suggest you audition and show us all how to do it. Kind regards John Malyckyj (Commentator for Hospital Radio for Bristol from 2003-2023) How about the prick on SkySports Soccer Saturday who has just informed the nation that Bolton are 2-0 up against Bristol Rovers!

It's a bit of a waste of time anyway as you only get a credit, not the money refunded immediately it sells? I had a season ticket last yr , couldn’t use it on a few occasions and sold my ticket on the exchange at £17 a time I think. This season I was able to use the balance, £51 to buy tickets that I would normally of paid for anyway. So the club ‘lost’ £51 . That’s why it’s stopped imo. Not sure I get this. So the club buy back your ticket for £17 and then sell it on for say £26 thus making £9 per ticket. They owe you your £17 but don't actually pay it to you and say that you can only redeem against club sales. How do they lose money? Its the same maths to them as if they had paid you your £17 in cash and you went down the pub with it. Equally, if you had sold the ticket for £17 yourself down the pub or even here on gas chat, the club misses out on its £9.

Maybe the concourse isn't finished yet. I assume the seating is accessed through the concourse, it wouldn't hurt to communicate that though if it is the case. This is bound to be the reason.

Who was the half bake incompetent hosting the draw?
Apparently Bristol who last year were knocked out by ‘City’ are away at West Ham!
Complete disrespect for our city whilst pandering to the egos of the big clubs AGAIN!

Those pictures from the Post just show how much room there was to have a fantastic stadium on that site if the training ground and car park hadn’t been sold off. You almost could have had an entrance to the site directly off Muller Rd.

Yes FGR for me too as it’s only 20 minutes or so up the road. Shame Troy Deeney was suspended, they don’t have much quality apart from him and McAllister. Good to see Belshaw play again but can’t say he filled me with much confidence especially when messing around at the back or wondering up to the half way line when FGR were on the attack. I think 2 years after they were celebrating their promotion to L1 on our pitch they are going to find themselves back in non league again. Hope not, but it looks very likely. Dursley based? No. Sodbury.

FGR 2 up then decided to stop playing. Looked dangerous again only when it was 2-2. Where have I seen this before? A few times I've seen Kyle McAllister now. Stand out attacking midfielder. Yes FGR for me too as it’s only 20 minutes or so up the road. Shame Troy Deeney was suspended, they don’t have much quality apart from him and McAllister. Well Mangan’s chances of getting the job have taken a tumble tonight. There was nothing in that performance to give any inkling that he’d do better than the previous manager and quite a bit to think he’d do a lot worse.
Much of the time we were pedestrian and there wasn’t the fight you’d expect from a team who were battling for a cause or a belief in anything other than going through the motions of playing a game on autopilot. Bottom of the table Reading were the better team, for the last 15 minutes we barely got out of our half save for the open goal that Marquis was presented with but somehow contrived to fall over.
That along with plenty of unforced errors made for a frustrating night for the packed away end but I sense less so for the players.
New manager needed urgently now whilst we still have a chance to have a decent season.

Pedestrian and mistake ridden.
Second half will show us if Mangan has the minerals for this.

Holloway has been circling us for ages, at games, around the place, interviews in the paper he wants back in, 💯 wants the job. It would give us a bounce in terms of attendance and feel good factor. I don’t believe he is past it, you just get a progressive coach next to you, no different to Moyes at West Ham winning the European trophy. This said, he’s not for me, too emotional being in charge of “his” club, again too much media intrusion. If love a Kieran McKenna sort, like Manning at Oxford, totally off the radar going about his job quietly and doing well. I can see why Holloway gets the ticket. The last off the radar manager we appointed was Ben Garner!

No doubt in my mind that the East Stand will be completely demolished and existing season ticket holders will be offered seats in the new south stand in the interim. Again imo much ground work will done along the whole of the east side whilst the stand is in situ before knocking it down to completely during the close season to minimise the delays in getting the new stand completely finished. That’s not what he said in the interview yesterday. We will be developing the south and then the north end of the East side. Looks therefore like the existing stand is staying in place.

When I heard this news yesterday, it made me so happy! I have been an advocate for the redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium throughout. It is our home. We now have history here. The compact nature of the site will produce an amazing atmosphere, and if done right will be a stadium full of character and one we can be proud of. Interesting that they are developing the east side first. Many on here (including me) would have done the North end first, but the East side has the most potential in terms of capacity. You could potentially build a structure behind the terrace without losing too much capacity (only the seating). I cannot wait to see the plans! Seems as if the plan is to add to what is already there.

I haven't read through the whole thread but it sounded to me like the plan was to just develop the open terrace either side of the East Stand, and if that's the case, you can only imagine they will be similar to the South Stand. My feeling is the North end will be a copy of the South stand with the current East and West stands staying as they are. I might be wrong but but that's what it sounded like to me. They're expecting the capicity to eventaully be 16-17k, which is obviously a significant improvement on 9 or 10k, but a bit of a downgrade on a new 20+k all seater stadium we were hoping for. Better than nothing but I'm concerned it will still look very hotchpotch. Yes, disappointed that it isn’t going to be a completely new stand on the East side and hope therefore that it’s going to be a proper blended in extension on either end of the current stand.

Do you have an emotional attachment to any of those businesses? Do you spend money with those businesses no matter how 5hit the product they produce? Have you been a customer of those businesses since you were a child and will be until the day you die? Do you go on a forum every day and talk about those businesses? Do you think about those businesses and how well or badly they are doing every day of your life and if those businesses do badly will it have any affect on your life? How many ‘customers’ do those businesses have compared to BRFC? Ridiculous comparison. Yes, yes, no, no, yes, yes, yes, yes, maybe, no, yes, yes, yes, yes. Boring. Go stand outside the new Owners door and tell them you've got a Childhood interest in BRFC, tell them how much you've spent and demand answers. Let us know how that goes. Here you go again making 5hit up. No one is demanding answers, just a single word of communication would be nice. Football clubs are different than any other business and despite your disingenuous comparison with conventional consumer businesses you do know this, otherwise you wouldn’t be on here every day of your life would you?
