I doubt Stockport would be going after Finley. For one thing they already have better players than him. Why would they be downgrading ? Finley will end up at a club close to scouseland in L2 or NL. Somewhere like Rochdale, Oldham, Chesterfield or Accrington Hahaha - Chesterfield near Scouseland! Much better than today's game!

Ward and Rossiter both went off. Was this precautionary or should we have injury concerns. No comments in the press. Rossiter- precautionary Wilson- hamstring Ward - hamstring

A Team of Boys defending, playing against a team oozing confidence. Our Defending was bad but 5-0 flatters. We had four great chances plus the pen.
Fine margins! I think today was actually quite helpful for MT. Both In the sorting out who stays & who goes after game 46 with justifications AND laying out exactly what he wants and why to the clubs money men.
From the SC Meeting I sensed the owners wanted all youngsters whereas MT was saying I want a blend with experiance in the squad too!

Thought Game was Okay. Felt like MT had put in some Organisation in. Very young defence did well. Really the whole team was set up with one eye on the future. What is clear is we need pace on the break from midfield.

First visit for me! In 30 years never been! Might be interesting to watch them get relegated! Although prefer them to Forest Green!

To me this isn’t really good enough. If I can pay my son’s music group fees or football training fees in instalments then why shouldn’t we be able to do the same with season tickets? When you outsource this kind of thing the service always gets worse, unfortunately. Because “Gasheads”, I’ll use that term loosely have been taking the p*$$. Taking up the finance option but not actually paying it back. Hardly surprising finance companies won’t deal with us. I need to close this type of comment down. This is just not true! Please see my orginal words further up this thread. It was made very clear by TG. The finance company they used pulled there support for ALL the smaller clubs. They continued to support lager clubs. We were one of a number of clubs that the have been put in this postion. We at BRFC & Gasheads alike love an urban myth................... In the know "Gasheads not paying the finance company" Actual - From the meeting with as above with direct quotes. In the know - "Rovers not paying catering suppliers" From the meeting....... Actual - From the meeting TG & ALT "Jerk Chicken are really bad at paying for there pitch" & "The Club has spent 150K on catering equipment since the new owners have taken over because the clubs catering equipment was broken" Sorry for quoting you negatively dudelebowski but your words are wrong. If you feel you can counter, you need to do so naming names & times like I have done.

Not really interested on what the arrogant, history less franchise do but on the strength of this thread just popped over for a quick read of "Bitter & Twisted". It really cheers your Saturday night! Fancy losing that massive derby with there "main rivals". Meltdown fully under way. Everyone's fault. Manning, Tinpot, Pantsdown snr, pantsdown jnr. Even BBC Radio Bristol!?
Championship is really tight! They are 16th in the form table & play three of the top five in the next four games.
I might just follow with a bit more interest than normal!
It's the hope that gets you! Back to us - We are a point closer to the play-offs tonight than we were this morning!

Chris Martin is a hat trick behind being top scorer for the division, Starting two months behind everyone else & not having a pre-season. Now down to Two! What a player he is at League one! A true sharp shooter!

This was a post meeting question I asked TG last night I had been asked by two people to pose.
"Why is there no financing on season tickets available?"
TG said - Most of the smaller clubs use the same finance company & they had pulled there support for all the smaller clubs but were still trading with the bigger clubs. This had caught the Rovers by surprise as it wasn't expected! He did'nt expect to be able to get anything in place in the short term!

I was there last night. It was a good meeting in all. Abdullatif was happy to chuck TG under the bus for his previous operational mistakes and it appears hes become a bit of a PA rather than a CEO. It was me who questioned him on the finance side of his model for the club. My questions were how were the stands going to be funded at the ground, the training ground built/remodelled to Cat 1 status? His reply was a mixture of selling some land at The Quarters, investments from established partners and the owners own pockets. He said that his family have very good relationships with banks through their previous projects for low rates of interest on any monies borrowed. He stated the The Quarters is around 30 acres in size of which only 5 is currently in use. The plan is to sell around 5 acres for housing to fund the Cat 1 academy. I asked how much he expected to raise (3 times!) from that to go towards the project? He said it would be around £8m.
I also asked him if the money spent was going to go on the clubs balance sheet as debt or is it gifted by the owners with the debt capitalised and he dodged that question. He was insistant that infrastructure was the key to building us as a ready made PL club which is sustainable in the championship. My impression is that The stadium is what is important to the 3 year model, EG, start building next year with the hope to be there by the time the stand is completed with the TG a much longer and larger project. I also detected that if they go get to the championship with the infrastucture built it is where these owners will exit and get their money back. Just my opinion, but thats my impression. He explained the pricing structure well, but it still isnt satisfactory in some area, especially with the kids pricing. Abdullatif blamed the lack of seating and facility but that still doesnt equate for the pricing model for getting kids into the ground especially with the SW now complete. It urgently needs to be looked at IMO. I was also there las night! It was a really good meeting. I both agree & disagree with some of your interpretation of what was said:"Abdullatif was happy to chuck TG under the bus for his previous operational mistakes and it appears hes become a bit of a PA rather than a CEO."I Don't agree with this at all - HE wasn't throwing TG under the bus. If he did'nt know the history or the background he got TG to Answer. "He stated the The Quarters is around 30 acres in size of which only 5 is currently in use. The plan is to sell around 5 acres for housing to fund the Cat 1 academy. I asked how much he expected to raise (3 times!) from that to go towards the project? He said it would be around £8m."I broadly agree with your interpretation. My thoughts are that he did'nt answer the funding question because it was above his paygrade / did'nt actually know. Right at the start of the meeting he said he was'nt the money man. He made it clear (for me) that he knew his place in the family tree! "I also detected that if they go get to the championship with the infrastucture built it is where these owners will exit and get their money back. Just my opinion, but thats my impression.I agree with this completely! They will be gone within 3 to 5 Years! Add value then leave. BTW Gashead81 Abdulatif said it was the best question of the night. I agree completely. Well asked, & pushed about the financing.
