to be fair i think there matchday coverage is pretty good, there always going to make some mistakes. Yep, can't fault Twentyman and team lately. Match days plus the other stuff they do (eg. Havin a gas and sports forum) all great, and I really think he is a great broadcaster / journalist so sets high standards for his team. If I was being picky I'd question why they bother with Yeovil so much, but station does cover Somerset so seems fair to do them and Somerset CC. Rest of station beyond sports team not so good at sport, perhaps not surprisingly! Radio Bristol has been in decline for years - partly cost saving by the BBC centrally and partly poor local management. But the same cannot be said for the Sport's team. When we went out of the league they could have sent a 'Phil Tottle' style roving reporter and given us much less coverage, but they stuck with us (I guess 20man and the commentators took a collective sign of relief when we came back first time, it must be much easier to justify the expenditure to cover a league team than non-league). The thursday night show is good, not just a phone in with the same folk, but guests, reflection on yesteryear and decent interviews. With SubsBench on MadeinTv we actually get decent post match coverage and better build up at the moment.

I am truly gutted that I missed out on both eastville and twerton, it was indeed the quarters , goodnight Irene and the supporters that influenced me. I know I have had my moans and groans about certain aspects but there really is no other club like the gas!!! I fooking love em' I wouldn't worry, in the future people will look back at te Memorial Stadium in a similar way and those who never went (TNG) will hear stories of Cup ties against West Brom, Sunderland, Villa and Everton. Of play off matches and league games against whoever holds the balance of power - they'll even hear of the season out of the league and a loss to Bath City. Football evolves better than almost any other type of entertainment - the recent almost surreal twists at our club prove that 100%. #utg

how much are they each paying for the honour of being in the draw? Basic entries are £1250+vat ish, but there are more premium entries and multiple entries can be bought. A few bob made using this system, and all entrants get corporate boxes, meals etc for a single match or more

Nah, he's pants - totally not suitable for Hearts. Best look elsewhere. Good luck Oi. No he's not. He used to be pants, but he is the real deal now. Some of us always had faith in him , but let's propogate the idea he's poor amongst his potential suitors - i'm sure his scoring rate is always going to make people take notice if we are honest.

Hi guys, Hearts fan here, i notice we've been linked to Matty Taylor and now our manager has confirmed he is someone we are looking at, what sort of level do you think this boy is capable of playing at? I have to admit I've seen very little of him but his goalscoring record appears to be very impressive, do you think we have a chance of signing him or will bigger clubs than us be after him, just looking for some thoughts from you guys. Cheers. Nah, he's pants - totally not suitable for Hearts. Best look elsewhere. Good luck

Charlton and Rotherham have found a bit of mediocre form, if the sh** got relegated and we went up I would literally cry with joy. Fair enough, you'd cry with joy to get into league one, I'd cry with sorrow at losing the momentum we'd built up. Different ambitions I suppose.... After bottoming out near the wrong end of the conference 18 months ago, we have progressed pretty much week on week. We'd be chuffed to be back in L1 (if we can get it done this season), but we also be looking at the next step almost immediately, make no mistake about that. We have a manager who is always sees a big picture as well as using his game-by-game planning process. It has to be said you have a modicum of momentum with Junior, after Clot came to a stalling end with no plan on arrival to the Championship. This thread makes me chuckle: www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/169758-double-promotion-its-going-to-happen/&page=2the love in with cotterill evaporated pretty quickly

Just hope they're still motivated enough to Give Pompey a game on the last day of the season! Gotta hope and hope plymouth and portsmouth draw next saturday (I think they play each other then?) I wouldn't be surpised if pompey thrashed R-vile.

Don't forget portsmouth and plymouth play each other, and on the final day Oxford v Wycombe.
83/84 should do it (and in the past has been the threshold), let's home we are in the mix

I find DC's approach refreshing. How many journeyman managers have we had, who signed journeymen pros on the last day of a window just for the sake of it. They may not have been bad players, but they weren't signed for the right reasons and didn't enhance performance. DC isn't as short sighted.

just thinking back to the Nigel Pierre attempted transfer, what are the work permit arrangements for players from Jordan?... didn't Pierre's transfer fall through because he wasn't an international player or something? Jack Warner (of FIFA infamy) owned Joe Public, who Pierre was registered too. Warner was (is?) also the chairman of the Trinidadian FA and a CONCACAF rep (count the conflict in interests). He falsified the number of international games Pierre had played so Rovers would sign him (6-figure bid?). The FA vetoed the transfer, although Pierre did play enough internationals in the end and came back to England for a short while. Presumably in Wael we have a trusted link with Jordan. Jack Warner was/is a right shady bastard who wanted a juicy fee for Pierre, legimate or not.

Does Jordan have an equivalent to Astafjevs? If yes, sign him up!
Seriously, we got Vitas because Johnson Sr was National Coach with Latvia and he linked Vita and Holloway up
- As long as DC has final say it works for me.
"Ooo-arr, he's Jordanian..."

If much of it is affordable housing then I can't see any chance of them causing any real problems. Bristol like any city has a big housing shortage and do the Greens really want to be associated with preventing essential housing being built? Perhaps that's the problem, these greens don't want any scrotes like me living near them. Interested in social mobility and bellowing at the government about a lack of housing, until it's on their doorstep.

Plymouth forum is in meltdown. Posters saying they are not good enough for the playoffs, manager not good enough etc etc!! I feel their pain. I remember our capitulation from top spot to finishing outside the play offs. Remembering 99-00 is always sobering; that collapse in form after Cardiff thrashed us in the cup marked a decline that was only really arrested 6 years later under Trollope.

They have already said on numerous occasions that the development of the new stadium was not dependent on this court case or on the sale of the Mem to Sainsbury's. I am not sure what else they can say. The fact that Michael Cunnah was appointed to the board specifically to oversee a new stadium and Lee Atkins and Steve Hamer have both stated the new stadium will go ahead, means that an immediate statement (apart from Wotola's thing) isn't really necessary.

It would be nice if the price post April 22nd was published. Three more league games after that date. They might hold on until it's known if we're going up. Well they've said they aren't going to hike prices so surely it'll be the same as last year e.g. for Dribuild or Blackthorn terraces, tranche 1: £260, tranche 2: £300, tranche 3: £350?

Won't be able to do all the games due to work but will be buying one for the first time in 3 years. The new owners deserve our backing. We need to start building a solid season ticket base before uwe. That;s exactly my story/view. Will buy one for the first time because I believe we are going forward.
