Never seen him sober so maybe he’s less of a donut on the touch line. Even Joey himself called him a drunken idiot to me haha Are you saying Mangan is a drunk ? Confused 😕 I’m saying Joey called him a drunk, and every time I’ve met him he’s been a drunken idiot. Not nasty or aggressive or even particularly unpleasant.. just an idiot lol but that’s only a handful of times so certainly not calling him a drunk, I’m just calling him a donut

Probably an unpopular opinion but he comes across an absolute donut to me tbh, I’d like to get an experienced manager in asap i Remember a Manager of Aberdeen being a Donut before he got a job with them... ended up as one of the best managers in the World . Point is they have to start somewhere.... Never seen him sober so maybe he’s less of a donut on the touch line. Even Joey himself called him a drunken idiot to me haha

I don’t have a clue what kind of draw we are anymore tbh, but time will reveal all I’d suggest that we aren’t a big enough draw for a bloke who finished 7th in the champ last year, got sacked whilst 6th in the champ or whose last job was in the prem. Sorry if that sounds condescending but we are miles off of that level of manager I don’t disagree with you and don’t find your comment condescending at all you’re simply listing facts. you may have misunderstood my point tho, I’m simple saying that the changes that have happened at our club have left me without the ability to even guess what we’d have to offer a manager anymore. But time is a great revealer, I’m expecting the next appointment to tell us everything we need to know in terms of the direction the hierarchy not just want, but expect us to go… the waiting game lol

We recently almost paid a million for a player, I think our next managerial appointment may well redefine what we as fans see as in and out of our reach… whether that be spectacular or bang average is a waiting game I’m not looking forward to personally haha The difference in wages from champ to us for a manager is significant , they’ll have opportunities at that level as well I’d imagine. I’m also afraid that as it stands we really aren’t a huge draw. I don’t have a clue what kind of draw we are anymore tbh, but time will reveal all

didn't think he was fouled at the time and still don't watching it back. Comes for a ball and clatters Taylor and possibly also the Stevenage player, but no foul for me. Keepers get to much protection as it is. you can't just come out to get a ball and get a foul everytime you are bumped. Part of the art of goalkeeping isn't it to be able to deal with it The ref gave a foul for a lesser foul in the second half? The ref last night was like a fan trying to do the job, seemingly just booking players at random for both sides. I thought consistency was shown where it mattered at one point tho as from my view there was a clear handball which should have been our penalty right before a clear handball from Marquis leading to our goal 😂

How many people think Cox was fouled for the Stevenage goal? I didn’t think he was from the stand personally, and after watching the highlights I still don’t think he was. Off the top of my head that’s the second time it’s happened to Cox now.. he makes a good save from time to time but I can’t help but see a little boy when I look at him didn't think he was fouled at the time and still don't watching it back. I missed the game again unfortunately, given how close we got to signing JCH (and fair enough it was probably to late to play him) but in theory if he was up top for the 90 minutes do people think he’d have turned that draw into a win? For example did we miss anything he would have scored all day long, could he have kept the ball in their have for much more of the game and as he does, won lots of free kicks in dangerous areas that could have lead to goal opportunities. Generally do people think he would have been the missing piece in our team?? Yes. We put in at least three excellent crosses onto the penalty spot that would have been perfect for JCH to attack. However, as out front line were down the channels there was no one there to take advantage. He used to do a good job up front completely alone half the time when he was here last time, I’m so gutted not to be able to see what he could do with the talent we have in attacking midfield. I’m just hoping we’re not to far behind the pack come January. Look how low we were with little time left in Trollopes promotion season, if we sign JCH in January I’ll believe again!

Apologies if this isn’t a thread about JCH I only had a quick look, now I’m not so sure haha

I met just about every rovers player more than a few times from the DC era to lockdown due to my job, there were a few I found to be quite hard to like tbh, but Locks was always a good lad from all our interactions. I don’t think Luton have a player of staying up but I hope he manages to establish himself as a prem player, for any team he finds himself playing for in the future Come on…which ones didn’t you like? Would be curious to know Jay malpas was the worst mouthy little prick who thought he was gods gift, James Clarke was like a drunken child every weekend., and Olllie Clarke was a drunken dick head as well tbh, every weekend, just off the top of my head

I turned 37 last week and my dad bought me my first season ticket when I was 11…. I can’t remember I single season in all that time we were any good at throw ins lol Agreed although I seem to recall Michael Smith being able to throw properly, or am I dreaming that one up? But did anyone move while he was throwing?? Lol

The season season I thought we were was (I think) our first season up under Trollope with Stuart Campbell taking them… other than that nothing comes to mind lol

Yes we need a striker but we need more form other areas as well. We are so wasteful with set pieces, rarely offer a threat and there is no variation. Even with throw ins in the attacking third nobody seems to take advantage to stand beyond defenders to at least be a distraction. As for Saturday, I just sensed that they would score from the free kick but looking at it why was Finley stood in front of Low? what is he going to do? It needed to be somebody taller to at least be able to attempt to clear or prevent him having clear sight of the ball. I’m a life long rovers fan and a much longer one than you, I’ve been really trying to sort the few unnecessary outbursts I’ve had on this forum in the past and really tried to make an effort to be a nicer person to everyone, but don’t push me with your sh**ty attitude please. To answer your question I don’t care much about football as a whole tbh, certainly not the premier league. Just anything Rovers related. And in spite of your apparent joy for annoying people on purpose I actually don’t dislike you, let’s keep it that way yeah? In a rare defence of ggmi, I also thought the same thing of your question. If you don't follow prem footy, that's fine. If you follow rovers related prem players, then it doesn't take much to get an understanding of where our former players are in the pecking order of each team. I guess ggmi's previous form warrants your response, but in isolation it seemed reasonable. A few comments on EA asking for a transfer. I shouldn't think a young man that will get game time for a top 4 contender would be wise moving into the championship. NUFC are in Champs league and will likely qualify again. Are people thinking straight on here? He should be fighting for minutes in the prem and pushing for international call ups. You see the difference in the attitude of how you speak to me compared to how he did? That was far more at the forefront of my response than what he was actually referring to, but I have pm’d him and said I’m not interested in any petty arguments I actually don’t dislike the kid he’s quite funny at times, I’m sorry I don’t keep up that avidly with Newcastle, I probably should a bit more as I do care about Anderson’s career. But I appreciate your respectful response and think it best just left there now
