Conference player scoring goals in the conference, I liked him as a person but he's not our player anymore and he's where he belongs now, can't see Jamie Lucas playing for us either unfortunately, wanted him to make it but if we step up to league 1 where does that leave him? We will never know because DC never gave him a chance... Sack the board ! Bring Back Higgs sack DC as well, bring back Ward!

Gosling is back now as well, all bases being covered I guess Not certain Gosling is back as he played for Newport last week, but it they've a 24 hr recall notice what doe sit matter anyway? I think his loan has just simply ended, DC said he was back after the Easter games and I also saw him Saturday night so assumed he was actually back at the club as of now?

Losing 3-2 in the final certainly didn't do our league form any harm before, but I still feel like both them and Plymouth could be the ones to end up in the play offs

I enjoy watching us win, in any league, what's the point in being in the championship if you're losing every week?? You just need to turn that frown upside down 79 lol So you'd rather be winning in conference south than struggling in the prem. Ok then. All about opinions. I'm always available for a cuddle when you're feeling low 79 lol come on man it's football day! Gonna win today lets feel good! Utg

Absolutely, but can you honestly see DC making signings like that?? I can't in a million years, the attitude, work ethic and togetherness wouldn't change in my opinion, but the talent might increase somewhat, might even pay a fee for some players That'll be part of the problem for DC, getting in new players who aren't just now joining us for more money, plus also keeping the present, seemingly, lower paid squad content. I trust DC's ability to judge a good character, a bigger budget will only broaden his search, as he's said before he gets offered people all the time that he could easily take on but don't fit the mould, that part won't change My interest isn't in the higher budget itself, my interested is in the fact that it's DC getting it, i believe he'll use it very wisely... If our budget is raised of course

I clapped him at there ground and I'll clap him again Saturday, may not have been a favourite but always gave his all and scored a good few goals in the process, also left the club to take a good opportunity, no complaints from me

These play offs are gonna be VERY competitive, if we finish in them they'll be much harder than the 07 season imo, I believe we could win them, as you say DC's record speaks for itself, and the right players are hitting form for us at the right time, but I won't be down for to long if we don't do it, next season would just be another winning league 2 season to enjoy, and I also think it would be even better than this one! One thing I've been very interested to see whether we go up or not is what budget DC will get, Ward had double DC's budget in this league, obviously financial fair play applies and the new owners aren't gonna go cavalier anyway, but looking at what DC has done with his budget I'd love to see what he could do if it even gets doubled next year! Double the budget doesn't mean double the success just ask Pompey fans? It's keeping the togetherness/work ethics of the squad which is most important not splashing money on the wages of the likes of JJOT & Clarkson again. Absolutely, but can you honestly see DC making signings like that?? I can't in a million years, the attitude, work ethic and togetherness wouldn't change in my opinion, but the talent might increase somewhat, might even pay a fee for some players

Rather be 5th in LG2 than threatened with relegation from championship? I'm sorry, but that makes no sense to me. So if you assume we get promoted and they get relegated..That makes our position look ok? What if we don't? What if they don't? Why on Earth are we guaranteed to have a good season if we don't go up?! We'd do well to hold on to our Manager plus a handful of the players. This cheerful attitude when things are sub standard has a small part to play in our sub standardness imo. Although they won't admit it, everyone in an official role at BRFC will be dissapointed if we don't go up now considering how close we have been. I'd forget comparing ourselves to the the teds aswell, we've a long way to go. I enjoy watching us win, in any league, what's the point in being in the championship if you're losing every week?? You just need to turn that frown upside down 79 lol

Better than Zidane? Ha ha. That made I laff. I can't see that West Ham sing it about anyone who's actually better than Zindane either so what does it matter? Lol And I quite like it, would be good if people can get it going, over to you blackthorn end lol

Lawrence was signed well before the takeover and I doubt McBurnie is costing a fortune, Wael & DC implied their was money to bring players in but DC choose not to spend it. i did see an interview with dc where he said he wasnt able to get an experienced player in for the position he wanted but was only offered lots of very young players which he didnt want as he stated he would use rovers young players instead if required Yeah basically, he said he'd take the right experienced player if one became available (which obviously wasn't to be) also was offered a large number of young players, but what's the point in using other people's kids when we have our own that he is happy to use, he says. Also he says something along the lines that of our injuries not being as bad as people think so hopefully Mansell and Sinclair will be available very soon. Lockyer, McBurnie and Harrison back for the next game now as well which will make a huge difference, we lost a game with a weakened team and were poor in the weakened areas, with these players back plus Mansell back from injury we will be back to our best, back to winning ways Saturday

A video the club done for Taylor's birthday, not as epic as yours but still good to watch the goals, tho I said he was an intelligent footballer with a great touch from day one I admittedly had my doubts about him stepping up a league, but watching this makes me realise even more the improvement he's made, he scored 21 goals last season but missed a lot of golden opportunities! This season he has already scored more goals and with less chances, I think the proof of his improvement of taking chances is in the 2 hat tricks and couple of braces this season, last season it would have taken him 10 chances to score 2/3 goals in a match, which is why he often just scored the 1 per game (and the reason for criticism and scepticism) I don't recall him having more then 3 chances against Wycombe and he grabbed a hat trick, and he had 4 chances against Hartlepool scoring a hat trick, and imo the header he missed looked a lot harder on the replay then it did at the time, he's still not perfect by any means but I think he can definitely play league 1, and as our back room staff improves and our manager keeps improving himself Matty could continue to go from strength to strength, league 1 golden boot next year anyone? lol
