I won't pretend to know the ins and outs, because I have no idea what some of the senior players in. DC did, however, tell me during the summer the likes of Taylor and Sinclair were on between £500-£750 per week. When you think about it, that seems like absolutely tremendous business. I like DC's new way of doing things. yea cracking business!! thanks for all your insights

definately a must win imo, gota start putting more pressure on barnet if we want them to crumble and let them see us disposing of teams dwn at the bottom. i was at telford who have been dwn ther all seas and we made very hard work of it!

love him or hate him taylor is DC's man. we are 2nd in the league with him as are main striker and he can only get better. yes his goal ratio needs to improve but ther arent many strikers around whos doesnt! i cant see the board paying for a markee striker, why would they when we buy blisset in jan and lets face it if we signed aguero that prob wouldnt be enough to chase down barnet. from a business pov the risk outweighs the reward when we should make playoffs with or without spending. i would love to see atleast one young, unscared to run at people winger like ldv when martin goes bk. i think we sumtimes let ourselfs dwn against the smaller teams when we dnt hav the natural wingers to run at part time full backs. It's weird; have we all suddenly become innumerate now we're in the Conference? Since people keep repeating "We're 2nd in the league" week after week regardless of our actual position ... which is currently third. [ ok 2nd when we won fri! and soon to be 2nd again after xmas period! 2nd,3rd,4th,5th, all the same in this league!

sometimes players do well in a given situation at a club. allen is gettin the best out of him, jus like the odd manager would with someone like heskey, but he isnt that good. Hang on, what? I've just re-read this, how is hitting 18 in half a season not that good? Maybe league one was too high for him but he is clearly a good striker for this division. I see Heskey's looking for an English club though... I'd have him. hes not that good, scoring record this season is good. it happens, taylor is twice the footballer. look at clarkson in scot prem this seas, couldnt keep us in league2! lets judge things at the end of the season. taylor is a novice compared to akinde and taylor has a better goal ratio than some gas strikers who have gone on to be legends.

sorry guys but lets get some perspective, we are NON league, the standard of our strikers is almost as good as it gets! Akinde - 18 Taylor - 6 (all competitions) What are you on about? sometimes players do well in a given situation at a club. allen is gettin the best out of him, jus like the odd manager would with someone like heskey, but he isnt that good. he was awful for us, awful for city and was anonymous against us at the mem, so thats what im on about. blisset and taylor will come good!!

sorry guys but lets get some perspective, we are NON league, the standard of our strikers is almost as good as it gets! Taylor for example has an excellent football brain and if could finish would be playin much higher. it is just the reality of our position.
and as for attracting a better standard of loanee, most will want league experience. we were very lucky with ldv that he looked amazing at this level, never had played higher than the fulham development team and that DC is good friends with ther manager.
lets fet behind what we got and hope for the best!! bah humbug utg!!

You can understand that the League are looking and seeing that we are a big club (in this League) with a young keeper available unlike some clubs who will probably have a first choice keeper plus a youngster like Keiran Preston and would play him and therefore are not giving us the chance to get in a keeper who could give us an advantage. I would imagine they would also look at the fact that Puddy was injured BEFORE the transfer deadline. I could have understood it even if they had denied us the emergency loan because of these circumstances. Remember Preston has been on the bench this season. good points, but these conditions wouldnt exist in the league, should be yes or no! and if no i would rather go with preston

why would permission only be granted if it was a gk with limited experience??? again another 'quirk' in this league!!
this is a far bigger blow now that we 'have' to have a kid in goal for 6 wks or another young gk if he goes bk 1stjan. FFS!!

Honestly thought Macas time with us was soon to be over. Alot of below par performances last season and having the club captain on the bench for most of this season is far from ideal.
However testament to his professionalism and hunger to fight for place in team as he has been excellent since Trotts got injured and deserves to be keeping his place in the team.
Yes bigger, less quick strikers in this league suit his attributes and his distribution is never guna be gr8, but fair play im sorry i doubted you.
We are really lucky to have 3 good centre backs!
