Hope Hamer, Knowall and co didn’t hear that. They will have to publicly condemn Marvin, insist he is deported to wherever his lineage comes from, fly in some VIP heavies for yet another round of “it may be on, may be off” discussions for 3 days before releasing all the documents on the sly, I mean make an announcement in the Bristol Post that Wael was the instigator and that nothing will continue to happen. Marvin must be shaking he’s broken his NDA. Oh dear. The attention seeker is at it again. Now there is even racism being incorporated into his meaningless drivel. Anyway, you obviously don't want the prospective takeover to happen unless Wael is in charge of it. So do tell, what exactly can Wael bring to the table, when even his family want out? Does he have a secret money tree, or would you rather Rovers ceased to exist rather than Wael losing control? Genuine question. Its easy to slag off something you have no in depth knowledge of, but do tell what the alternative is? And to think you call yourself a gashead. Shame on you. Hold on mate- asking questions? You guys have shown me that's not how a forum works... you just say sh** and move on. However, he wasnt being racist. Moreover he suggesting that the previous calls to have the owner deported were founded in racism... which is hard to look beyond. DW I dont think Knowall would be offended he doesn't read anyone else's posts... or at least answer their questions.

This is a small part of why I find the ITK brigade rather poisonous.
YES, the radio silence from the owners is concerning... but on their narrative what's happening? In August, they said were looking at options including the preferred option at the fruit bowl.
Has anything changed? I suspect not... but maybe.
Anyway, in the mean time the ITK brigade come out telling everyone that their selling their stake and thats what will lead to the fruit bowl... when asked questions they refuse to answer. Who? What? When? Why? All ignored. If they are ITK- why dont they answer? Likely because these things are confidential.
So they throw a bone and stir up sh** and the owners get hounded. They might be right, they might know something but they just cause trouble.
Theres no reason the ownership should respond to rumours created by others. Furthermore- they likely cant.

Better formation without JCH.
Would have played Leahy for Clarke and Sercs central.
But UTG.

I love DC and the mans a gas legend. No ifs no buts.
However I will say that it became the beginning of the end when he started mixing those sorts of press comments with the others. One week it was the honest pros the next everyone's gotta be better.
I really hope he turns it around and believe he can. He does need to dial his own emotion down a little.

Explain what you mean by “borrowed” are you saying it’s not their cash and they’ve had a loan? Or are you referring to the fact they’ve protected their investment with a charge? Or are you under NDA for this? Just wondering I will try to explain, knowall is saying that any cash spent is covered by the charge. He is saying that we will see if the owners will continue to spend, once the equity is spent. It’s simple enough. You use the word investment yourself. I’d be interested to see a list of teams whose owners placed a charge plus 6% added interest, on the ground the club used to own. We all know had Nick Higgs have done this then he would have been dragged over the coals and been subjected to vituperation of the vilest order. I think it’s a fair question but, it’s evident, that knowall is this forums whipping boy. As I have said before, we shall see. I think it’s also relevant to 6 in that Dwane have trebled the debt of the previous incumbent. It really is not unfair to ask the question, not as I see it. I think it is fair that Knowall has his view heard. And in fairness hes put it on almost every other thread without answering a question in reply. The point is- this was a congrats to the groundsmen and Knowall goes in. Again... We all know his view.

I probably start remembering Rovers games from 96ish. That's a span of 23 years so let's round it- 25. We've had some decent keepers in that time but generally the better ones were loans. It might be early but I think Anssi could be the best permanent keeper weve had. Sadly, it's not compliment it should be... But Keep it up Anssi. Since 1996? Phillips won the golden gloves in 2007; he was the best keeper in the football league that season and statistically better than any of the premier league keepers. Yeah- I'd guess hes the debate. Maybe Miller could be included.

One could argue, of course, that it is the legacy of G Dunford & Co who left the equity in the Mem that the new owners have borrowed against that allowed all the improvements. We have yet to see if the current owners will spend beyond the value of the assets. Sadly, many either don’t see this or don’t want to see it. We shall see. Regardless of Wael being a “nice bloke” the owners are bankers so I’d be gladly proven wrong were they to spend more than the equity I think this needs more explaining to sound anything other than crazy. Equity = Asset less liabilities. Spending more than equity would be to run the club at a deficit... Hard to argue the sense (albeit, that is what is occurring) the sense of it?

And of course the owners who paid for a fantastic surface that has fantastic drainage. We have yet to see if the current owners will spend beyond the value of the assets. Arent you supposed to spouting nonsense on the 200 pager? There must be over 50 unanswered questions for you there. Poor form to hi-Jack another thread and turn it into owner bashing moment. No doubt- you'll come back on here in 3 months time when we eventually do have a postponed game to say I told you so.

Sorry disagree with the theme. Thought Craig was ok.
The issue is playing 5 at the back without a "great" striker. Look Smith, Nicholls and Adeboyejo are all decent as that second second striker but none are quite reliable enough to lead the line.
Without JCH we should revert to the 4-5-1. Get Rodman closer to the striker.

Never saw Martyn play for us.
And I only remember Parkin playing a few times on his return.
So perhaps the best perm for 20 years?

Cant play 5 at the back without a great striker. No JCH means we should be playing 4 3 3. Not this.

I think cogs deserves big credit. Reacted quickly when they got the red card. Went 3 up top (albeit briefly).
We should all remember hes learning too.

Personally- I dont think its controversial in the slightest.
Its fortunate because it's actually a poor touch from Nicholls that leads him to try and "protect" the ball. But an opponent clearly runs right into the back of him without any attempt to win the ball. Consequently Nicholls is impeded.
Watch the challenge from defenders perspective. It becomes much easier to call it a pen. The increase in diving has led us to become sceptical about any attacker going down in the box. We very rarely look at challenges as "were they legal" - apposed to "did they have to go down"
Simply clumsy defending- pen.

I think brexit will be sorted before the take over and f m sorted BREXIT isn't going to happen. Shamefully, Parliament has overruled The People and we are now being run by a minority dictatorship. Tuesday 3rd September 2019 The day democracy died. My advice to anyone with buy to let property - Sell it now. Anyone with shares in a former nationalised industry, sell them now. Anyone with potential inheritance wealth, give it to your kids now. Anyone lucky enough to be able to retire, Do it now before your pension is confiscated and destroyed. Project fear much? I didnt realise the EU were taking your inheritance?

I think we look the better side. Quite comfortably so- but we gave them a lead and the subsequent motivation that follows.
Both keepers look poor. Both teams should be looking for 10 shots this second half.
Hoping our Dutchman keeps his head.
Be great if the Thatchers Terrace give him the bounce they gave Andre a couple years ago. Sadly, I think it might go the other way.

Naturally very sad. But I wanted to considered practical implications for us?
Mods feel free to merge if you think that this should be done. But I figured as this is a more selfish stance perhaps it justifies it's own thread.
So were down 1 match possibly two. This potentially impacts us in many ways:
Should season ticket holders get refunded?
How will the loss of 2/23 match day revenue affect rovers?
Will we get compensated?
Has this affected our transfer policy?
Does this impact FFP? Ie could we or others breach our limit given revenue has fallen? What should be the punishment if so?

Another strong performance. The shambles at Coventry seems a long time ago. Onwards and upwards. KB talked about having restored pride in the shirt which seems a fair observation. What’s The football like these days? I can’t get a sense of what it is on the radio? Is it still a lot of long ball just with better end product now? Id say the first word is combative. It looks attractive when both our strikers are playing well. Ie when Smith and Nichols can find room. It's a little bit unfair to suggest theres no creativity but that seems the obvious question mark. My only concern going forward is whether we have the man power for this formation. We certainly have the wing backs. We might be a centre midfielder light should we get an injury. And I would still like a wide midfielder to take us forward.
