I thought Dawson covered his fullback well considering he's a young winger who likes to attack. Always put a shift and looked a good team player not just someone with a few tricks.
I trust DC 100% but I am slightly surprised we've not offered him anything. Surely he would be relatively cheap and he can only improve. Plus Clarke said he wanted a right winger so I'm not sure why Daws doesn't fit the bill.
Let's hope Clarke has a gem lined up to replace him

I've been saying for ages that we don't attack the ball well enough in either box.
Its good to hear and with Lines in the team, the delivery will be sooo much better. All the centre halves should be looking at 5-6 for the season as a target imo

Pleased with both of those!
Didn't like the template of the away kit when it was first out to be voted for but I'm quite impressed with it now.
Could do with an up to date home shirt too so I'll certainly be making a purchase

I think we will see a much faster tempo to our game this year, especially as DC has been looking at getting pacy, direct wingers signed up.
And in response to stevek, I agree that the defence take too long on the ball and end up wasting it, but I think with lines now in the team, he will take the pressure off them by dropping deep early and collecting the ball from them. Something which manse, Sinclair and Clarke don't do often enough.

Yet still played every (or near enough every?) game for us last season in a promotion winning side? Not bad. I don't agree that he went missing for long periods and couldn't shoot. I also don't see how him being slow and not being able to beat a player is a bad thing, as teams need to be balanced and have a mixture to be successful. The blend worked with him in the side and his partnership down the left with Brown was a key part in our success. If Monkhouse was a marauding out-and-out winger then that partnership would have been very different, and perhaps not as effective. Plus, if he had pace and could beat a man then he'd be in League One or the Championship I reckon. No winger will score 10 goals for us next season - called it. We have different views mate and that's fine. If he was that we'll regarded by those that count, he wouldn't have left. Also if that left side was so effective, why is DC looking at proper wingers instead of a like for like? Seems it's just me on here that considers our opposition for the majority of last season. Our players were mainly lg standard, full time pros. We should have good stats and done well, which we did. That imo over values our players because they were mismatched most of the time. Our left side would get absolutely tortured against better opponents because AM offers such little threat going forwards that a RW could just cheat all game! Not only that but LB is average too. IMO. All well and good against Welling and Alfreton though. I'd be interested to hear your reasoning behind your views of LB being average?! He's had the most assists for us in the last two seasons (including 9 in our relegation year when none of our strikers could hit a barn door!) He's always willing to push forward on the overlap and rarely gets beat by his winger. One of the most consistent performers for us for years. If he's average then God help us!!!

Ajala.... Myrie Williams.... If JMW can find some of that form from his port vale days he would be a great signing. Cracking penalty taker too by the looks of that video!

Can really see Ellis being the star man next year.
If he carries on the form he was in from the end of last season, I can see us having a fight on our hands to keep him in January.

Unlike Ward, Clarke has shown that he can identify the weaker positions in the squad and look to improve them. Even if his first attempts through the loan window last year didn't quite work, he made sure that the squad was stronger than ever going into the final third of the season.
I really rate Dawson and would be happy to see him here next year, but if DC doesn't feel the same, then I fully trust that he will have a better option lined up as his replacement

I can't think of any reason why both teams wouldn't be able to wear their home kits.
White shorts for us and black for them

SOME Level 2 is now available - blocks 227 and 228 from what I gather EDIT: That's middle of the pitch so anyone holding out for Level 2 that's not a bad bet! Category 1 pricing though obviously This is true. Wish I had held out now tbh. Best seats in the house are available now, smack bang on the half way line!

No brainer, we have two in form strikers so start them both.
Both Harrison and Taylor's recent stats are impressive!

I have no doubts about us getting all 6 points but I just really can't see Barnet slipping up now.
If they do win their last 2 games then hats off, as the pressures been on them for weeks.

Assuming Easter is fit. Top scorer on the bench? Whats wrong with that? It wont happen, but it sure as hell should. Taylor was excellent on Friday fact! There is no reason to drop him unless it's down to fitness. Easter on the bench for me, took a knock and contributed nothing in the time he was on vs Chester.

I don't understand the love Mcchrystal get's. He is a poor captain and Mansell does his job much better any decent build up play is instantly destroyed by his stupid hoof balls to no one. i would rather play lockyer until the end of the season as he is better in every way Apart from in the air. McChrystal almost always wins his headers - where as Lockyer usually his and puts off the attacker without ever dominating.

Harrison for Taylor would be the only change I'd make. Otherwise, I'm pleased with that team

We need 3 points today BIG time, hope Easter is in the starting line up or at least fit enough to be on the bench. Not sure that I would send him out on that pitch considering he's just back from injury. In case we get another Sinclair incident

That was meant to read Eastleigh 2-1 Barnet

I'll go for:
Halifax 1-1 Gas Eastleigh 2-2 Barnet Chester 0-2 Grimsby Gateshead 1-1 Macclesfield
Grimsby are the team that really worries me atm and I reckon Barnet will end up finishing way off the pace
