Gutsy performance, we need to be ruthless, not going to throw them under the bus but a few out there showed why they should be released.
Great to see Grant Ward back, and SS7 looking sharp.

Got to say it was very funny watching two tribes of Joe Hawkins wanna be's doing the hokey-kokey from either side of the sheet, seeing them becoming brave and gingerly pushing aside the hessian fabric, and then seeing the enormous sense of relief on there faces as the referee blew the half-time whistle, meaning they could scuttle away out onto to the concourse with their honour intact for a much needed vape and the thought of thank **** that's over. hahaha. How do you explain to a 11 year old their behaviour, he noticed some were not watching the football at all, find it quite sad not funny to be honest, glad we don t keep saying we re a family club, we ve got our share of munters.

Men against boys, but shows what we need more pace, and to be stronger in and out of possession, passing was off today, hopefully we are drawing up a list of potential targets ready to be proactive.
Fans goading each other in the south stand, what's that all about, frankly embarrassing, some looking at their age should know better.

Should be a good watch, they're not low block anti football, going for a 2 1 Gas win, goals by 2 ex Derby players Cold play and LT, UTG.

Refreshingly it's not all about him, giving away 1k is very generous too, the players will know where they stand with Matt, allowing them a day out on the beer will bond the group too. If we can recruit 5 in the conteh ability level we ll have a good go next year! As Roady says the fans have got their Rovers back ! 🏴☠️😉 Have we though, its Joeys players plus Conteh; 18 days ago, I was there, after the final whistle on the pitch Monotone refused to celebrate the win shouting at the supporters that we needed to help the team because the players were generally frail and weak, on Saturday he was doing a Klopp, talking about bribing the players with his money, blah blah blah, and implying the very same players Evans, Thomas, Brown et al were playing well. Ffs what's he like. Happy to give him a window to build his long ball from the back squad, and 15 matches next term to show what he is all about, lets hope he does well, currently for me I am not convinced. A lot of Rotherham fans think they made a mistake getting rid of Matt, life s funny he might not have come here from Exeter, but having lost his job was probably thinking his stock was lower. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but look at the Exeter away game when they destroyed us, they played decent football, possession does not mean anything, it's about mixing it up, Matt has said he wants more pace next season so think you might be pleasantly surprised at our style next year.

Top 10 will be decent, need some pace up front in the summer, need strong finish to inspire owners to invest to give it a good go next year.
Can see Luke McCormick flourishing under Matt too with a good pre season.

If we can afford it, after his playing career would be a great striking coach, if the owners get their wish when he retires we ll be in the championship, so with extra revenue would be possible. Playing devils advocate, how do you know he would make a great coach? Has he got his badges? Does he have a desire to coach? Can he coach in a way that helps players develop? Who knows?! Look at his experience and how well he speaks, lives locally and too young to retire, Ben Garner has more badges than John Kayes 😂😂

Any chance you can find out who he votes for, views on world politics and if he likes Cus D’Amato?!…….week by week it’s becomes more evident we were hijacked by a bellend with his mate Jennings 1.56 PPG with a team he inherited 👏👍 Squad decimated by injuries as well. No recruitment department but managed to sign a diamond from Sierra Leone who will go for big money. Not sure what books he reads or if he’s mates with some ex prem players though. I have a feeling conteh won t be here for long, reminds me of Kante never wastes the ball, can turn out of trouble, great engine and loves a tackle, People can laugh but I think we ll sell him for in excess of 5 mill, he is that good.

We dug in and don t get bullied anymore, lots of good performances, but Jed ward made two cracking saves at the end.
We look more organised on set pieces, had enough corners to defend yesterday!
Great 3 points, need to finish the season strongly, as opposed to last year when form fell off the cliff!

Enjoyed that, CM always a decent listen. If we can afford it, after his playing career would be a great striking coach, if the owners get their wish when he retires we ll be in the championship, so with extra revenue would be possible.

Evo has great skill, and can aggressively tackle, we cannot afford to lose him, Finley always been tenacious but also has good ball ability, as OP said with Conteh that is a great base to build on.

Thanks for all the updates, sounds promising, wonder how the playing budget is looking like for next season.
Season tickets are sold before we see what we ll be watching in front of us, I am loyal, but want to see that in recessionary times, the shelling out of £500 was a wise decision, and that I'm not going to witness a Ben Garner type outfit.

Like others a little mystified, thought he was going to head up recruitment, I was happy with that but as DOF not too sure, old fashioned, normally that would be an older experienced manager aka Lennie Lawrence type.
Prepared to wait and see how this develops, main thing is recruitment don t see the owners and Matt being on the same page, they are thinking the Ben Garner model, Matt wants some experience too.
All I will say is I want us buying players like Conteh, not taking James Daly types, and hoping they can make a step up.
Less is more rather have 2 more of his calibre than 4 maybe will come off, released by prem club gambles.

I thought we were supposed to be getting an official announcement of the appointment today? You heard the Radio Bristol interview. He announced in on Saturday. That bit was quite funny TBH. Reminded me of Dads Army, don t tell them your name Pike! RIP Ian Lavender

Changing a manager mid season is always difficult, we should use the rest of it to see how good our younger players are, and how far away they are too.
This would create more interest as well, as the longer the season goes on there will be less to play for.
So much of the squad will be rebuilt, quite looking forward to the close season, and seeing how serious the board will back Matt and George.
