When their careers are well and truly over Nadal will be the king of clay and the king of serious ocd that infuriates his opponents and tv viewers alike. I noticed the American tv company stopped showing the ridiculous touching of the face 9 times and the ass picking before every serve. They couldn`t help but show the baby who introduced the towels in between points having to be different and have two towels. Federer will just be the king of tennis and the greatest player that ever lived because he glided around the court and made the game look easy. Can you please explain the last sentence with some stats? 10 French Opens 10 Monte Carlo Masters 10 Barcelona 500s The above 3 achievements unmatched by anybody. 30 Masters 1000 titles. Level with your other favourite Djokovic. 4 Davis Cup titles Gold Medal Olympic Singles Gold Medal Olympic Doubles One of only 2 men to win 2 Grand Slam titles on 3 different surfaces. Level with Wilander. Not to mention Huge advantage in head to head results against your mate. Yep he really has made the game look so so simple. Hit me with it Shane. Go on 🇪🇸🎾

Wimbledon champion Roger Federer beat world number one Rafael Nadal 6-4 6-3 in the Shanghai Masters final to capture his sixth title of the year.
The 36-year-old Swiss was in imperious form as he won in an hour and 12 minutes.
All hail.

Please chat nicely, everyone, thanks.Maybe I'm not tennis fan, but I can't really understand why chatting about tennis might get so heated, next we'll be having a heated debate about tiddly-winks, or rugby.

Table tennis, now that's a real game. As is Real Tennis, Henry VIII's third favourite pastime.

Tonsil tennis, best played when drunk so you don't always remember the opponent.

When all the other top players are breaking down with various injuries the master just continues breaking records and making the game look easy.Roger Federer is without doubt the greatest tennis player of all time and arguably the greatest ever sportsman.

It's a bit hard to say who's best when Federer has won more Grand Slam titles, but Nadal is some way ahead in their matches against each other,
You can argue it either way.
I just think they are both great players who joust for the top spot over the years.
But I do think Federer will be the one remembered in years to come because of the number of Grand Slams, especially if you take out the French clay courts. Although you shouldn't do that, because they all count.
I'm sitting on the net here.

Someone mentioned today that Federer has played 21 more grand slam tournaments than his nemesis.Interesting that given all of those extra events, that he is only 4 wins in front.

Surely the fact that he played more means he's better? Otherwise I could say I'm better than Nadal and it's only the fact that he has played more tournaments than I have that are squewing my stats.

He's played in more because he's older not because he's better. Not saying he isn't better though. I don't like to compare the 2 though. They are both outstanding players in their own right but completely different styles. Federer makes the game looks effortless and beautiful. Nadal is the opposite, makes it look far from effortless but is competitive and fights and battles for point. Nadal beating Federer in the 2008 Wimbledon Final was one of my favourite finals, EVER. Of any sport. We are truly blessed to be able to watch these 2 greats, just as we are Messi and Ronaldo in football. Just enjoy.

Yeah, I'm just pulling TBones plums because he is now trying to massage the stats to suit his argument. I'm still not that arsed about tennis but to me Fed is the much better player.

You like what you like I guess. I just think it is a fantastic sport that requires so many different attributes to be at the top of your game. Federer is being very clever now in that he is missing some tournaments. The tennis schedule really seems to being taking it's toll on players and I see he is missing the French open again which makes perfect sense as he is very unlikely to win that and it comes so soon before Wimbledon. They should really look at changing the tennis schedule IMO. People don't like change especially when it comes to traditions but there is too much in a short space of time for me, it's no wonder players tire themselves out and pick up injuries.
