Great article. Really spoils mine & others enjoyment of matches, as well as clearly contributing to a lack of confidence on the field. mental strength as DC will say (he's not stupid enough to come out & criticise fans, unlike Buckle!)

Who appoints the managers? Who is responsible for the whole structure of the club? Look at all the players and managers who have 'failed' at Rovers only to go on to better things at other clubs. Only one constant in 15 years of decline and it ain't any player or manager. We used to get this a lot on the OF. Who failed and has gone on to better things? It's not many.

"Aint any player or manager" Did the BoD make Pipey wrap a bottle round someone's head?

Did the BoD encourage Ollies side to lose 9 from 11 games and slip from top to outside playoffs? Actually our form collapse that season did co-incide with it being made known that if Rovers got promoted (which seemed highly likely with ten games to go) that there would be no money for team building, and that the same team would be expected to survive as best they could in Div 2, minus Jason Roberts. It's all well and good saying the BoD didn't do this or that, but they are responsible for the direction Rovers are facing in, and the fact that we are knocked sideways when bad luck strikes. Every club gets good and bad breaks. Ours is simply not managed to ride out the bad ones and take full advatage of the good ones. Responsibility starts at the top. Except apparently at Rovers where it lies everywhere but.

jozer. I agree with you btw. However I also believe that certain managers and players have let us down over the years too.

We don't need player abuse at the match, on forums or across social media. Criticism and opinion is healthy but sometimes it borders on "Going after players" and it's shameful, although those that do it won't give a monkeys about what others think.
