Everytime I've seen Leahy he has impressed me, although he is more impressive going forward than defending. I'm surprised DC didn't keep him, but maybe Leahy wanted to leave. They have also released 6ft 3in centre back Jon Guthrie. Not sure about Guthrie, been part of two very poor defences at Crewe and Walsall and was awful when we played them away. Wouldn’t have him over Davies or Edwards. One defender I do think we should make an offer for though is AFC Wimbledon defender Deji Oshilaja. Had a good season and is available on a free transfer, has a bit of interest from teams higher up too. Oshilaja is decent.

Josh Morris released by Scunthorpe? What has happened to him? A year ago I would have been well happy with a signing like that. I would still sign him. Had a few injury problems during this season, but still contributed 5 goals and 6 assists from 19 League One appearances. When fit he is quality at this level. 35 goals and 30 assists over the past three seasons.

Hard to know where he could end up, just seen he's linked with some championship teams.

Taunton born centre back Paul Downing released by Blackburn Rovers. Could do a job for us. Fantastic player but given his major involvement in a playoff campaign at Doncaster and a promotion campaign at Blackburn I'd deem it unrealistic.

Yeovil born former Wales U21 international winger Lloyd Isgrove released by Barnsley.
Former England U18, U19 and U20 goalkeeper Ted Smith released by Southend. Might be worth considering as competition for the no.1 role.
Will Keane released by Hull. If we could keep him fit, the 6ft 2in former Manchester United Young Player of the Year and former England U16, U17, U19, U20 and U21 international could be a good signing. A big 'if' though.

If Craig Noone's wages were realistic I think he could be a good signing. Rated him since his Plymouth and Exeter days. Released by Bolton.

Gone to Barnsley according to Wiki “Jack Payne (born 25 October 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielderfor Barnsley Barnsley FC, he was quickly snapped up by newly promoted Barnsley upon his contract expiring at Huddersfield.” Seems legit tbf.

One that might be worth a closer look in training and in friendlies during pre-season for the development squad is 18-year-old attacking midfielder/number 10, Dan McBeam, released by Barnsley. He was an SGS College student and represented the Gloucestershire U18 side (described by the opposition Cornwall manager as a "box of tricks"). He was on the books of Mangotsfield United as a junior and played a game for Reading in the U18 Premier League during January 2018, before signing a contract with Barnsley during November 2018. www.gloucestershirefa.com/news/2018/dec/18/previous-rep-team-players-who-have-taken---the-next-step

Bonham in goal. Best keeper we have had for years. Ruben Lameras Plymouth one of the best players I saw last season. Took us apart at their place and would be the creative midfielder we need. Always going forward. Would bring out the best in Sercs and JCH? Get Ellis back. Get some Eastern Europeans or North Africans ideally Egypt or Algeria!?!

Been on trial at City. Played for their 18s. Back in Mangos squad for tomorrow. Britton scored a hat-trick for the City`U18s on Tuesday against Watford, having netted 2 against Sheffield United last week and has now signed a one-year professional deal. nonleague.today/news/details.php?news_id=51428 goals in 4 games for Britton, including a goal against Juventus U18s a few days ago. It would be nice if we could get back to scouting the non-leagues and picking up a gem or two. We used to be good at that and most of the best players in our club's history have either been signed from non-league or had some sort of non-league background.
