With new coach/scout Brian Dutton going over to Real Oviedo this summer to study the club's methods and players, are we likely to see any foreign recruits during this window? One of his roles is identifying players from abroad who could fit into Rovers' side. 26-year-old, former Spain U17/U19 international, Dani Aquino, could be one of those players. The former Real Oviedo player scored 27 goals in 45 appearances for third tier side Racing Santander during the 16/17 season. Pacey, direct, skill/flair/technique, good finisher, versatile. Quality player. If Aquino could be convinced to move to England/League One it could be an inspired capture. I see the lad Aquino has started this season in the same vain as he finished the last, scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory in their first league game today.  |

20-year-old left winger Connor Hunte will be worth monitoring this season. He made 4 starts (2 sub apps) scoring 1 goal in a loan spell at Stevenage during 16/17. The former Chelsea and England U16/U17 player left Wolves in January and this summer signed for Isthmian League South side Greenwich Borough. So far during the 17/18 season he has scored 2 goals from 3 starts (1 sub app) and has impressed. Stevenage goal  |

Any of them! Heard Dave Tarpey has had a good start to the season too Tarpey has had an unbelievable couple of years, but have my doubts about whether he could do it at our level. I'd like to see someone take a chance on him though, would be interesting to see how he would get on. Charlton and others have been linked. |

A few more players abroad worth monitoring, hopefully on Brian Dutton's radar.
Fran Pastor, 23-year-old, winger, CD Vitoria. A former Real Madrid youth and Spain U17 international. Currently playing in the third tier. So far during 17/18 he has scored 1 goal from 2 appearances.
Jurgi Oteo, 20-year-old, winger, Barakaldo CF. A former Athletic Bilbao youth and Spain U18/U19 international. Currently playing in the third tier. So far during 17/18 he has scored 2 goals from 1 appearance.
Kevin Breuer, 26-year-old, attacking midfielder, VfR Fischeln. A product of Borussia Mönchengladbach and a former Germany U18 international. Has scored 63 goals and made 60 assists from 119 appearances for 5th tier Fischeln. So far during the 17/18 season he has scored 4 goals from 3 appearances.

22-year-old former Arsenal, Watford, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace youngster Morgan Ferrier is impressing in the National League with Dagenham & Redbridge. The versatile attacker has 3 goals and 1 assist from 6 appearances so far during 17/18. He previously scored 12 goals and got 3 assists from 24 starts (8 sub apps) for Boreham Wood in 16/17. Definitely one to keep an eye on.  |
