Heard good things about the 16-year-old striker Adam Willis at Bishops Lydeard. 3 goals in 5 starts for first team 11 goals in 3 games for U18s. View AttachmentWhat you talking about willis? ๐ sorry famous line

Another impressive goal in the playoffs to add to his collection this season. 21 goals in total now I think for a combination of Byth and Notts County. Back from injury in pre-season and doing what he does best. Would love Callum Roberts here. Amazing to think our scout in the North East didn't think Cal Roberts was good enough for us. If you're reading this, give your head a wobble!

I think Callum Roberts has been your favourite player for sometime pirate! ๐ Surprised he hasnโt gone higher but perhaps NC are paying well and heโs happy. UTG!

He only joined County in January 2020 and had an injury for long parts of last season. Back fit now though and destroying teams as much, if not better, than before. His stats for a winger/attacking midfielder tell an impressive story. 34 goals and 24 assists in 87 games for Newcastle Utd U23s (plus 1 goal in 2 games for first team), 17 goals in 25 games for Blyth Spartans and 10 goals in 25 games for Notts County. Think we really missed a trick not picking him up on a free when he was non-contract at Blyth or even when he was released by Newcastle. A special talent.

Great player - I saw someone tweet Barton direct about him a while back so hopefully he is on our radar, although like you said the best chance to sign him has probably gone now

Beggars belief how our scout in the North East area rejected him as not good enough when I passed on his details when available for free during his time at Blyth.

Yet the likes of Ayunga and Mensah deemed good enough, or potentially good enough. Sometimes I wonder if they know what to look for in a player. We could well be replaced by County the way its going.

Our record over the past couple of years is certainly enough to make anyone wonder.

Watching highlights of the FA Youth Cup and the Number 3 Ethan Witchell caught the eye for Chippenham Town with 2 goals and 3 assists. Also been playing games dual registered for Bradford Town in the Hellenic League.

13 goals now this season. Left foot, right foot, it doesn't matter to this lad Richard Kone. Get him in to development squad!
Opposition manager last night:
Not been as excited about a player from that sort of level since I tipped off the club about Charlie Austin at Poole Town in the Wessex League. The kid is rapid, direct, great close control, decent in the air and can finish off either foot. The goalscoring rate of Kone compared to Austin at the same level and age in the pyramid is very similar too. Kone with 37 goals in 34 starts and Austin with 42 goals in 48 games. The potential is frightening and room for development at a professional level with day in day out coaching and guidance is immense. If I'm right in thinking he's non-contract I believe he could join us straight away and in no time at all he could be pushing for a place in the first team squad. Not being hyperbole at all when I say this kid could potentially make us some serious money in the future if developed correctly.

So all these missed young players. Would that come down to Chris Hargreaves as head of the academy set up ?

If he does make it in the EFL, then what a fantastic story that would be homelessworldcup.org/i-dont-think-of-much-else-but-football-at-the-moment/

20-year-old Henri Ogunby at Bootle FC another lad worth scouting. Having made his debut at 15, he had 30 goal contributions from 51 appearances during his time in Man City u18s, scoring 17 goals and adding 13 assists. Also scored 33 goals one season at a younger age group. Goal on Bootle debut
