Their 53 Lyons-Foster looked decent as well Brother of the former Bristol City player Kodi Lyons-Foster. Ive seen some really decent looking players on the highlights involving U21/23 teams. Surely we could have picked up a couple better than what we brought in?

Kido Taylor-Hart looked decent when I saw him play in one of Arsenal's academy games.

Kido Taylor-Hart looked decent when I saw him play in one of Arsenal's academy games. This Papa Johns thing is the perfect opportunity to see how young players might perform in our league. I remember Jack Stacey playing against us for Reading U23's where he also scored. Played in the Prem last season..

A few I wouldn't mind us having a closer look at.
Freddie Hockey, 16-year-old, winger or striker, Chelmsford City.
Hockey in claret number 9 with two goals
Deese Kasinga, 20-year-old, 6ft 1in, winger, Chesham United. A former Newcastle United youth player, In 2017 he made the Guardian's Next Generation list - alongside players such as Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi - which featured '20 of the best talents/first-year scholars at Premier League clubs'. Since his release from Newcastle he has been playing for his local side Tower Hamlets FC and also the Rising Ballers setup. Joined Chesham United this summer.
Blue number 11 -
Louis Baker, 18-year-old, attacking midfielder, Nuneaton Borough. Scored 14 goals in 34 appearances for Alvis Junior Eagles u16s/u18s in the Sporting Touch Midland Junior Premier League and then scored 15 goals in 17 appearances for his former pro fathers side in the same league - the Carl Baker Football Academy U18s. Named the Nuneaton u21s captain for 21/22 and has made his full debut this season for first team vs Leiston where he played 90mins and then scored a screamer in the FA Cup (see below).

Was playing 17 times in the Championship with Burton as recently as 2018 and linked with moves to the likes of Southampton. I'm sure it won't be long before 22-year-old midfielder Joe Sbarra is back in the Football League. Creative, two good feet, good dribbler and an eye for goal.

Thought Nick Tsaroulla looked good for Crawley. Other than the tackle on Nicholson!

The young Lewes duo of versatile forward Destiny Ojo and striker Kaiden Hummerston look promising and worth a closer look. Ojo involved with u18s and first team. Ojo Ojo freekick (from above) and a Hummerston hat-trick:

St Ives Town's 18-year-old right back Eniola Agemoh-Davies another one to keep an eye on.

Back at Athletic Newham now and scored 3 goals in 3 games. Only 19-year-old. 28 goals in 29 starts for club in total during career with them. Got to be worth a trial even if nothing comes of it. 11 goals in 6 games now for youngster Kone after a double tonight and 4 goal haul in previous game. Get him in for a closer look, what harm could it do? If he's good enough to trial for Premier League club Brentford, he's good enough to trial for us! 13 goals now this season. Left foot, right foot, it doesn't matter to this lad Richard Kone. Get him in to development squad!

Opposition manager last night:
Not been as excited about a player from that sort of level since I tipped off the club about Charlie Austin at Poole Town in the Wessex League. The kid is rapid, direct, great close control, decent in the air and can finish off either foot. The goalscoring rate of Kone compared to Austin at the same level and age in the pyramid is very similar too. Kone with 37 goals in 34 starts and Austin with 42 goals in 48 games. The potential is frightening and room for development at a professional level with day in day out coaching and guidance is immense. If I'm right in thinking he's non-contract I believe he could join us straight away and in no time at all he could be pushing for a place in the first team squad. Not being hyperbole at all when I say this kid could potentially make us some serious money in the future if developed correctly.

I know JB has said there’s not much about in the free agent market so he’s not really looking but I genuinely think the versatile Josh Sims, formerly of Southampton but currently without a club, would be an ideal addition to the squad covering for injuries to Rodders and Nicholson and providing the fresh legs Whelan, Pitman, Clarke and Coutts need around them.

Heard good things about the 16-year-old striker Adam Willis at Bishops Lydeard. 3 goals in 5 starts for first team and 11 goals in 3 games for U18s. Attachment Deleted

Not being visible for a few months doesn’t get you at the front of the queue when clubs are freshening up their squads. Might be good for both parties.
