Worth monitoring the progress of 20-year-old striker Devon Arnold at Salisbury. Previously in the youth team at Yeovil where he scored 44 goals in 54 games for the U18s. Made his debut for Yeovil in League Two as a late substitute in their 4-1 defeat against Cheltenham Town, at the age of 17 years and 38 days he broke the record for the youngest Yeovil player in the Football League. Trialled with the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd in the summer and scored for United u23s in a friendly vs Stoke.

17-year-old midfielder Max Delyfer been impressing with Potters Bar Town. On the books with Arsenal for 7 years until his release at 13, he has also represented the Independent Schools FA England U16 team.

Having been linked with James Brown from Drogheda, I wonder if Mark Doyle has also caught our eye? Mostly plays off the left, but can do a job in any of the forward positions.

I'm sure I remember him scoring against our youth team quite regularly in the past too during his Yeovil days. |

No idea what happened to him last season as he just seemed to disappear off the radar at Barrow, but I would be seriously tempted to offer free agent Callum Gribbin the chance to train with us if I was Barton. If (big if admittedly) he could stay clear of injuries then the lad has the ability to be a big star at this level (and above) with the right coaching and guidance. Its no exaggeration to say Gribbin was one of the most naturally gifted players I've watched at youth team level when he was at Manchester United. Best as a no 10, but can play out wide on either side or even as a false 9.  
I still think this lad will play at a decent level one day. Outstanding ability. View AttachmentView AttachmentIf he keeps doing this it shouldn't be too long. As a personal favourite of mine I hope Gribbin gets back to into the league ASAP to showcase his undoubted talent.  |

A couple of young left backs have been impressing too, namely 19-year-old Bryant Akono Bilongo at Kingstonian and 18-year-old Brad Bood at Telford Utd. |

The young lad Jili Buyabu been catching the eye at Hornchurch. The 18-year-old only joined them in September, but was on trial with Chelsea in the summer. Can play anywhere down the left, but predominantly a winger.   |

Not sure if he's still 16 or turned 17 now, but Owen Watkins looks a decent prospect at Romulus and worth a closer look. 21 goals in 12 games for u19s in the National League U19 Alliance and 14 goals in 14 games for 1st team in Midland League.

20-year-old Charley Kendall released by QPR worth a trial. Showed promising signs in his first scholar year with 12 goals and five assists from 16 appearances for the U18s and was offered a pro deal. Scored 4 goals in 4 games during this pre-season before his release. Charley Kendall impressing with 8 goals in 11 starts for Eastbourne Borough.  Hat-trick |

Another youngster to catch the eye is 18-year-old midfielder Connor Barrett at Didcot Town 1st team/North Leigh u19s. Has 7 goals in 23 games for Didcot in Southern League and 10 goals in 13 games for North Leigh in National League U19 Alliance.
