The standard of some of this is shocking. What on Earth was the keeper doing for that header? Unbelievable Nice delivery from Ward though. That is the level Charlie Austin and Harry Cornick initially made their names at and Christie Ward has a similar goals/assists record at the same age as Cornick did at the same level. Well worth a trial. Edit: The same comments about standard could have been said about Nathan Ellington when he was at Walton & Hersham, or Barry Hayles when he was at Willesden Hawkeye, or Paul Randall when he was at Glastonbury Town/Frome Town or Nigel Martyn when he was at St. Blazey.  |

Another couple of local lads to keep an eye on are Olaoluwakitan Jaiyeoba and the youngster Owen Humphries. 18-year-old Humphries played in the youths at Mangotsfield Utd in the South West Counties Youth League as part of the SGS College link up where he won the league with them having gone the season unbeaten and also made a couple first team apps during 20/21. Also previously scored 6 goals in 8 games for the Bristol Inner City Football Academy in the JPL. After the 20/21 season prematurely ended he scored a goal for Mangotsfield in an 'end of season' friendly vs Thornbury Town and 2 goals vs Cadbury Heath in the 21/22 pre-season. One to monitor closely. Humphries on trial with Birmingham City. |

Omar Mussa a really promising 21-year-old midfielder at Weymouth that has been catching the eye. Long term replacement for Whelan or Coutts. |

Back from injury in pre-season and doing what he does best. Would love Callum Roberts here. Would be a good addition if we don't manage to keep the likes of Nicholson or Thomas. |

We (SGS) played against Rovers in pre season it was a mixture of u16 and u18 and we beat them comfortably. |

The SGS setup is excellent and they regularly beat professional clubs academy sides and produce talented players. |

Productive going forward too with 5 goals and some assists. Came through the West Brom academy and captained them to the FA Youth Cup semi final during his time there. |

A couple of Warrington Town lads been catching the eye. 18-year-old winger Matt Grivosti  Was recently selected to represent the England Colleges FA National Team and scored a couple of goals on his debut. Looks a good prospect and one to have a closer look at.   |
