Would be an excellent addition for our right wing back role.

13 goals now this season. Left foot, right foot, it doesn't matter to this lad Richard Kone. Get him in to development squad!
Opposition manager last night:
Not been as excited about a player from that sort of level since I tipped off the club about Charlie Austin at Poole Town in the Wessex League. The kid is rapid, direct, great close control, decent in the air and can finish off either foot. The goalscoring rate of Kone compared to Austin at the same level and age in the pyramid is very similar too. Kone with 37 goals in 34 starts and Austin with 42 goals in 48 games. The potential is frightening and room for development at a professional level with day in day out coaching and guidance is immense. If I'm right in thinking he's non-contract I believe he could join us straight away and in no time at all he could be pushing for a place in the first team squad. Not being hyperbole at all when I say this kid could potentially make us some serious money in the future if developed correctly. Freak of nature this kid. 35 goals for the season now after scoring FOUR today in the FA Vase. Playing waaaaaaay below his natural level. 18-year-old.

A lad from the Littlehampton team has scored over 50 goals this season I think also. Not sure if you know anything about him or what level that is played at?

Don't really know much about the lad Joe Benn, other than he has 74 goals in 49 games in total for the club - an impressive total whatever the level. The Southern Combination Football League is 5 levels below League Two, the same level as Kone or locally to us the Western League.

I see Aylestone Park from the second tier of the United Counties League are through to the 2nd round of the FA Youth Cup after beating Lincoln City on pens after a 4-4 draw after extra time (this after beating Notts County in a previous round). I'm not sure who scored for them tonight, but the lads are basically made up of players from Christian Fuchs' 'Fox Soccer Academy'. This lad Dominic Fisher previously caught my eye for them. Currently the Fox Soccer Academy London’s Top goal scorer in the CAT 1 ECFA league. Would be worth a trial with our U18s with a view to U23s and beyond. Would be worth someone from the club attending this as there are a good crop of youngsters involved with the Fox Soccer Academy, including Aaron Nuttall who has been on 🔥 during the FA Youth Cup competition so far.

Another defender impressing that would be worth a closer look is the 21-year-old 6ft 5in centre back Tyrese Owen at Haringey Borough.

Was playing 17 times in the Championship with Burton as recently as 2018 and linked with moves to the likes of Southampton. I'm sure it won't be long before 22-year-old midfielder Joe Sbarra is back in the Football League. Creative, two good feet, good dribbler and an eye for goal. Another player that would be an excellent addition should we lose any of our more creative players.

Luke Charman has the potential to play at a higher level and will be looking to impress for Darlington and step back up the pyramid. Former Newcastle youth. Been excellent for Darlo with 19 goals in 33 games. I liked him during his Newcastle days where he got 30 goals in 81 games in Newcastle u23s, not always as an out and out striker either as sometimes in deeper or wider position. Not for us now though as plays a similar role to Loft. Be surprised if he doesn't move in this window.

Read a few people online commenting about potential work permit issues and stuff about student visa etc, but not sure. That would make sense as he's a potential football league striker in the making. I reckon with the right lawyer you could possibly get around the issues and when he gets it sorted he will get a move higher. Outstanding talent.

Pains me that we never seem to pick up on players of this profile. There's minimal risk involved when the level they're playing at is so low. Not as if the selling club would be able to demand a huge fee (if any?).

Plenty of talent out there. Not sure if we miss them or they get picked up by bigger clubs. Max Alleyne is an example. Bristol Boy, goes to Southampton (think they had an academy link in Bath) then signs for Man City for an alleged 1.5 million. Only 15. Any cricket fans? Yes it is that Alleyne

Yes it is that Alleyne I think they picked up Alleyne at about 9-years-old when he was playing for Coalpit Heath youths in the Hanhan Minor League. Saints Southwest operate development centres in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. Cardiff City also run a development centre based in Yate, plus they recently signed Jai Semenyo (brother of Antoine), who was on the books of Mangotsfield Utd and attended SGS College. As I highlighted previously, the SGS student, former Mangos and current Larkhall Athletic player Owen Humphries has recently been on trial with Birmingham City and and another SGS/Mangos player Miguel Freckleton (once on our books) recently signed for Sheffield United.

I'm surprised we haven't had any players on loan from Southampton given that they have a lot of younger players from around these parts.

Talking of the Southampton academy, I think the young lad Farren Simons was on their books at one point. The 16-year-old has been making appearances for Barnstaple Town in the Southern League and is part of the Torquay United academy, where he scored on his U18 debut in the South West Counties Youth League back in November after scoring 18 goals in 19 games for the u16s.

Oh and the list goes on and on and on. Evander Grubb another example on a work experience loan this month at Bristol Manor Farm, from Huddersfield. (Link here he was released by Rovers after many seasons at the academy, I'm sure he made a season or maybe 2 at u18's). Was picked up at a Trail event after being released by the Gas with lots of scouts interested.
As I have said many times, and I appreciate that this is a sweeping statement. For the amount of players that are leaving the Gas before making a first team debut and then go onto other clubs, some at higher level some at lower level, cant just be all about the Player.
There is something fundamentally wrong with the coaching and decision making in my humble opinion.
