Sean Pinker was a real talent .... i remember him when growing up in Hanham. His Dad Les was a nice chap as well - Good builder and mates with my Dad. Lovely family, was heartbroken when Nobby died..potterswood was their team, Sean really was so gifted, such a waste. Nice guy too just made some poor decisions. Used to love watching them all, when they were on the up. Penny was subject to my neighbour, Ralph Miller, getting so angry with Rovers. He said we robbed Mangos, i had Gary smart as a next door neighbour too when in air balloon road, great guy and great parties that were full of gas players.

The Pinkers and Packers were big Kingswood coal mining families, got to know them through that as my dad worked the pits for 16 years

I need to get back to Kingswood soon .... See if Ida and Roy still have the Kebab shop where the Kebabs were brilliant. Need to get down to Lodge Causeway in Fishponds too which was home for a long time growing up.

Need to get down to Lodge Causeway in Fishponds too which was home for a long time growing up. Long gone, sadly. First kebab house in Kingswood, it was George who had it but Samar and Roy worked there. Best chilli sauce ever. It’s not as bad as some say but the old feeling of community is lacking. Sad but most of the characters are no longer with us

Be interesting to know whether our scouts are keeping an eye on the 17-year-old GK Alfie Kelsey at Larkhall Athletic. A product of Steve Phillips' GK academy, before his move to Southern League side Larkhall, he kept 11 Western League clean sheets in his debut season for Welton Rovers, at just 16-years-old.

The 20-year-old 6ft 4in centre back Harry Williams at Alvechurch is a lad worth monitoring. Previously with West Brom and Burnley, he has also represented England at youth level.

Another promising youngster in non-league that has caught my eye worth monitoring closely is Harborough Town's 17-year-old winger Dominik Wysocki. He recently came through the selection process to be selected for the England Colleges national team and is a regular for Harborough Town in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands. Assist Chance created

The 21-year-old winger Charlie Reilly at Albion Rovers in Scotland worth scouting or a trial if possible. Looks a good prospect. What a strike this is today by the way!!! 😮😍

The 19-year-old 6ft 3in leftie centre forward George Nikaj has caught my eye on loan at Ashford United from Dover Athletic with 12 goals (+ 4 assists) in 18 appearances. If the FA website is correct then he's been prolific since his time in u18s where they record him as scoring 78 goals in 36 games for Dover. Certainly worth scouting.

20-year-old winger Beck-Ray Enoru at Barwell has showed a bit of potential over the past few years and his progress is worth monitoring. Previous to joining Barwell he scored 33 goals in 54 games for Aylestone Park in the United Counties League and so far this season he has scored 8 goals in 30 appearances in all comps for Southern League Premier Central club Barwell.

Liam Waldock was quite highly-rated at times during his spell at Sheffield Wednesday, but was released by them in the summer where he then joined Northern Premier League side Gainsborough Trinity. He's impressed in an attacking midfield role and tonight scored his 17th goal of an impressive season. Still only 22-year-old, he has plenty of time to get back in the league and would be one worth monitoring.

23 year old midfielder Caolan Boyd-Munce worth a look at Pirate? Released by Middlesbrough recently to find more game time, Coburn knows him and his abilities. Wanted by clubs in the Championship and League One.
