Aleksander Hammer Kjelsen playing for Valerenga in the 2nd tier. Only reportedly on about £720 per week, so would be affordable. The Scandinavian countries and area are definitely worth scouting and I've already mentioned a few in the thread like Jákup Andreasen, Hanus Sørensen, Adrian Justinussen, Atli Barkarson, Benoný Breki Andrésson, Logi Hrafn Róbertsson and Jón Gísli Eyland Gíslason. The Balkans region another worth exploring with gems like Nikola Velickovski, Riad Suta, Muhamet Hyseni and Drilon Hazrollaj etc etc. Attachment Deleted

Does anyone at the club check out local talent below NLS?
There must be quite a few who have slipped through the net.
Locks was deemed too small at 16 by Cardiff. There must be 100s of kids in that situation each year.
A few years in the real world working a mundane jobs and learning the ropes in lower league football may mean that they are more determined to make it second time around.
Gerry's team was full of them Bruno, Reecey and you could say Jocky and Saunders would have not had careers in their positions at the time (Jock at best an average winger and Saunders a reserve left back?).
Taylor and The Beard are the most recent successful signings from non league I can think off. (Probably a few more but my memory is not what it was).

I've lost count of the amount of tip offs over the years I've tried helping them with, recently the likes of Adama Sidebeh and Richard Kone for example, two players playing in the 7th and 9th tiers respectively. Kone was when Widdrington was involved in the scouting, but then it was felt not worth pursuing without a development squad or pathway to 1st team. There are dozens I could mention worth a trial lower down the pyramid. I know that lot south of the river scout the non-league scene heavily and recently signed the highly-rated GK Isaac Finch from Western League club Bridgwater United.

Not sure if Kparobo Arierhi would qualify for an Elite Significant Contribution spot, but he has been called up recently by the Nigeria U20 side and if eligible would be a quality prospect to develop. Big potential. x.com/TCC_League/status/1797585495536599064

I would like to see us loan Finn Azaz from Aston Villa - really liked the look of him when at Newport. Think he would shine in our side.... Another one I was just thinking of was Dynel Simeu on loan from Southampton if we don't get Taylor back. He was outstanding against us and in general for Carlisle according to all reports and with Joey's record of developing centre backs it could be a good move for all concerned. Released by Southampton, still worth a look? Jake Vokins also released by them.

Musialowski released by Liverpool. Expect he's aiming for a lot better than us but would be interesting to see where he ends up

Expect he's aiming for a lot better than us but would be interesting to see where he ends up Polish Messi, Turkish Messi never was as good as at walsall and other clubs, never ask you never know! Loads of youngsters being released need to take a punt on strong athletic type wingers and strikers, we may strike gold!
