Rovers already have safe standing. So as long as a club doesn't have terraces bigger than at the Mem its fine.

You may think it doesnt matter but if we do progress the club it may be an issue or if the rules change etc etc. The letter is only a talking point, as are my posts. www.fsf.org.uk/campaigns/safe-standing/what-does-safe-standing-look-like/

If the current terraces (and elsewhere like Exeters big bank) do not fulfil the standards of the "safe standing" mandate they should be closed with immediate affect.
ps:I recognise you are not the spokesperson for the authorities or standing areas so posts not directed directly at you just general musings

"Safe Standing" is a type of standing, you're essentially claiming all vacuums are Hoovers.

That's brilliant, hope some of those clubs go ahead with the trial!

Of course it's safe to stand at the Mem, it's safe to stand at any football ground that has terraces. This safe standing name is bollox because it implies that standing is not safe but is called that because of the FA and government hiding behind the introduction of all seater stadiums as a safety response to Hillsborough when in actual fact it was more about changing terrace culture and attracting a different class of fan!

I guess something had to change .The grottiness of some grounds and the behaviour of some people was contributing to national attendances falling. Football in this country was on its way out. Rovers could quite easily have a new stadium that had a tier of terrace at one end and on one side of the pitch. Maybe 10,000 places. With 15,000 seats + boxes making up the rest of the stadium.I think entering a terrace from the bottom whilst having exits at the top for the end of the game as well would stop "uncontrolled surges" at key movement times.
