Going through drawers and cabinets the other day and I found a stack of say, 50? 60? vinyl albums of mine that I'd completely forgotten about. Ranging from Now 2 to Genesis, Zappa, Carpenters and everything else that a teen growing up in the 70's & 80's would buy.
I obviously don't want them anymore so wondered what's the best way to get rid of them?

EBay.
I have a ton of Vinyl in the loft that I really should sell but can't bare too.
There are plenty of people who will come and collect your stuff in a job lot and will pay you for it, then sell it on at a profit.

I must go through them to see if any are rare. Doubtful though. Got loads of singles as well.
Ah the days of recording vinyl onto a TDK D90 and giving it to your girlfriend with "mix tape" written on it.

eBay is fine, but watch out for sending them in the post. You will have to package them well, or they'll get broken. Make sure you get the postage costs right. |

I hate cats - woof woof that got me one of the biggest hidings of my life and was taught a big lesson, dad had thousands of 78's (used to shatter better than lp's or 45's, was watching record breakers ,my mind drifted into it's own weird world ,for some reason that cannot be explained i opted to bring the theme tune to life , i mean come on as a small child who wouldn't want a living breathing theme tune from the tv in their own front room, the game was to frisbee a record into the wall just before the words record breaker was sung if it shattered then you could loudly shout record breakers. There was one small gert big flaw in this plan which appeared as a very upset and angry dad coupled with a leather belt, which in turn put quite a dampner on my game ,not to be beaten(pun intended) . i thought if i did this in my bedroom frisbeeing the records out the window i would be the undisputed heavyweight record breaker in the world, boy did the crown feel good until i suddenly realised that he 'could walk into the garden and see my handy work. I din't get as far as the bedroom door before that small strip of leather found it's target one thing that still makes me chuckle now is he said will you ever fookin learn ,i said nope, yup so feckin stupid got an even harder belting ,did i learn from it nope  |
