I`m surprised at the BBC.
I thought they`d choose a disabled, lesbian, single parent Muslim, with ADHD.

Ever since my childhood I've liked Dr Who. Can't see me watching it now. Totally ruined it with a woman Dr. The world has gone mad. The Master is a woman, the Drs sidekick is a lesbian and now the Dr is a woman. What the f**k is she going to do when she comes up against a Dalek or a Cyberman? "Oh don't shoot them, they are just afraid and misunderstood. Give them a cuddle in a group therapy session and I'm sure they'll come round". Utter sh**e decision.

My opinion for what it's worth, anyone who gets overly upset or indeed overjoyed with this, probably ought to get a little perspective.
It's Doctor Who for crying out loud! Presumably anybody who is upset didn't vote for Thatcher or May?
I completely disagree with any favourable treatment either way, in any walk of life, whether it be mindlessly in favour of any minority or gender disregarding merit, or on the other end of the spectrum any groundless discrimination.
Perspective, common sense and tolerance all needed in equal measure.

The real issue here is that Dr Who is sh*te regardless of the title character's gender and has always been a waste of license payers' money.
