In sone of the games I saw him in last season there were good signs Hopefully we'll be signing some competition and he will rise to that challenge. I'd say he's been quite poor since he's joined and next season will need a big improvement if he is to play a prominent role.

Moore was bloody brilliant in the last game v Millwall.
If he could produce that sort of performance more often, we'd have a real player on our hands. They couldn't get near him that day.

Dont agree with the op"s views on the midfield as i think its very strong as it is especially with sercombe added, also when ive seen him play sercombe has looked like a good footballer technically as well so we will just have to see i guess? We could do with a left winger although dc does not really like wingers as such,he uses them as subs against tired opponents and prefers overlapping full-backs or wing-backs. Bodin is not a genuine winger in my view,he tends to play infield a little looking to shoot. Where i do agree with the op is that we need a strong centre-back to partner lockyer as im not convinced j clarke/jonny burn can cut it in that position. Just opinions of course.

Moore ended the season well but still has a lot to improve. I don't feel confident going into the season with him as our main LW/LM.

Nice OP, and largely agree. I'd like to see 4 more added: - CB (left sided) - CDM (this may end up being Hall?) - LW - ST (either a target man or another Nichols type) Spot on. We definitely need a cb, lw and a another striker

Bodin was most effective as a winger. Suits him perfectly cutting in and shooting. If he keep doing that play him there. Don't want to see him pushed up front.. Get another striker in to do that.

Very true, however he needs to show it more often. There have been no patches in other games but he needs a little more. Feel he will feed off Sercs movement, as he doesn't go shoulder to shoulder so much but will exploit small gaps with his dribbling.

Byron Moore is a very frustrating character, he has undoubted skill aplenty. Usually his application lets him down, I agree during the Milwall game he battled hard especially his tackling back. But and this is a big BUT, we need to see it more consistently.
As the OP has said, the squad is shaping up nicely. A couple more acquisitions permanent or loan and we could be in for a good season.

If we sign another starting midfielder we could well be overcrowded in that area with Linsey, Sincs, Ollie & Sercs all looking to be regulars - think DC will go with what we have in that area with option of a signing in next window if needed.
Agree we need a big CF, a wide man & a big CH. Lambert, Wheeler and Sweeney would be fantastic!

Isn't the Aussie Lewis Hall a CM?, I can't imagine DC would mess about taking him to Portugal if he wasn't v. interested in signing him.

I think that might be it for permanent signings now. Unless we sign either of the two trialists who have gone to Portugal (I know nothing about them!)
Maybe a CB on loan before the season starts and maybe another loan or two before the window shuts, possibly a striker depending on how the current strike force start the season.

If we signed those 3, I would be straight down the bookies and smash £500 straight on Rovers for promotion!

Described by Heidelberg United as 'hard man Lewis Hall' when he signed a new contract with them at the beginning of last season.

Producing one excellent performance in a season is nowhere near good enough. But at least it showed that the talent IS in there. Hopefully it did the world of good for his confidence and he can really push on now.

Last chance to impress or he would have been down the road with Monty! He definitely does have the talent though and as you say let's hope he kicks on next year.

I hope we have a few more permanent signings. We've only brought in 4 and one of them was a loan

Poor at Coventry last season.Jury still out so hope he comes good.Sweeney still not gone anywhere so would love to see him back. I want him to do well, partly because I don't feel that he's been given a fair run in the team yet, and partly because we need a reliable player to support Lockyer. Think he's cover for Lockyer.
