There is some new footage of the incident on the other forum which appears to show the Braintree Player actually backing further into the reach of the bald man in the shades/blue shirt as if to invite contact. If people have difficulty in controlling their actions they should consider not going to grounds such as Braintree and the individual in question should be banned. the old bill are gonna want to speak to that lad who posted that...

Alcohol fuelled animals. That's it really. You can see why they got so riled up but cant excuse that animalistic behaviour. Drink drink hit hit punch everything. Its a real gutter that they brought such shame on a fantastic travelling majority. I may be wrong about the alcohol but I doubt I am, it usually plays a part. Pantomime. Same types who were around us at Forest Green, using the word Cxxt over and over again directed at FGR players at every oportunity, complete idiots.

im sure i saw those same blokes in the clear still picture at Altrincham and thought at the time i hadn't seen them before. They stood out then because of the abuse they were throwing and it was unusual for Gasheads to be that vitriolic Are you suggesting that they just traveled to Braintree without any intent apart from tarnishing our clubs reputation? If so then I think that's rather pathetic, I think they are obviously just Gasheads who are very frustrated with our current situation. I'm not defending them for one minute, it was a sh**ty thing to do and they should be punished. But lets he honest, they were definitely fellow Gasheads!

Out stadium manager seemed to be with one such group at FGR. They were insulting a female steward who was just trying to do her job. No need for it.

I've just seen another video and I recognize the bloke, I'm sure quite a few others who stand near me in the Blackthorn will as well!

i've watched several videos of this now and whilst it's all very unsavoury I cannot see any evidence of a punch or punches.
Not condoning the behaviour but where is this punch we keep hearing about?

I just saw another and it doesn't look like any real contact was made. So I could be wrong about it all. Lots of over the top gesturing but no actual punch?

Yeah GHB I agree. If so then I owe an apology I guess and so does anyone else (BBCRB) who misled us. Still a bit OTT but no punch.

Looked like one or two 'attempts' as the action goes out of shot, but no real contact with the player. Regardless, I think the guy in question has to think about what is appropriate behaviour at a football match, stuff like that has no place in the game and brings BRFC down.

This video clearly shows punches were thrown. About 2 seconds in. It was a very good job the bloke next to him restrained him.

I think all the video's need watching for the whole picture, player stuck the boot into one of ours twice, got bundled into the net, and heres the bit most seem to have missed, the smarmy smirking look on the players face at our fans, agree that our supporter should never have been so stupid, again cant condone it but from a personal view, if someone looked at most people like that after kicking someone whilst done, an awful lot of people would have wanted to take the smile of the guys chops. In all honesty i cant see a punch land if one did and can be proved then quite rightly ban him , but if he's guilty of punching a net then the biggest punishment he deserves to be ridiculed mercilessly

The video shows the alleged assailant waiving his arm forward in an angry manner.
You can clearly see from one of the other videos that he is holding an e-cigarette or something similar in his right hand and therefore it is clenched.
Not clearly throwing punches as claimed above.

I agree that from these angles you can't see the level of contact there was. I was side on to the incident and from my view, 2 or 3 swings made good contact on the player's head. Not knockout punches, but uncondonable behaviour all the same.

Also, he was pretty jammed into the goalmouth.

I see no contact from this video, more just angry arm swinging. This video certainly can't be used as any evidence...
