Hi everyone thanks very much for your input. Every player has his price and there have been rumours flying around. As for a price given these crazy times I think there would need to be an offer in excess of £600k for the Club to take seriously any approach. Thanks again and all the best for the coming season. Will be watching your results with interest particularly as you have recently signed two ex Grecians Sercombe and Nichols who could both prove to be very good signings for you. Out of interest what's you view on Craig woodman (sh** head). He's my Mrs cousin. Hence being at glasto with mr wheeler. Please be honest. He needs a ribbing. I have met and spoken with Craig on a number of occasions. He is very quietly spoken and one of the nicest individuals you could wish to meet. Having said that two or three seasons ago I would have been questioning why Tisdale had been continually picking him as I felt he was past his sell by date and was being unnecessarily exposed to criticism from the supporters. The season before last his mistakes contributed very largely to our losing at least four games and by the seasons end I never wanted to see him in a City shirt again. Last season he proved myself and all his other critics wrong and was a complete revelation. Regardless of Watkins's and Wheeler's performances he was my player of the season and had he not broken his arm towards the end of the season we would have been in with a good shout of the autos

Scored today in their win at Dorchester. With his left. Cut in from the left, nutmegged the fullback then powered it in from the angle. Possibly

Tbf a while ago DC did say that he wanted a left winger who could cut in on the right (not tony blair). Wheeler seems fairly realistic imo especially since he already knows Sercombe, Nichols and of course Marcus Stewart. In his most recent update he said he wanted a left footed winger. “I am looking for a left sided centre half, left winger, defensive midfielder and another striker. We are still on the hunt but we have got four or five weeks until the end of the window so we will see." This is what he said Post West Brom, pretty much the same as his earlier update however it's interesting that it's now only "left winger" not describing which foot.

I think we may also need a LB to backup/replace Brown
Got a feeling he is still a weak link in defence, but ok going forward

We signed the lad Bola, on Loan from Arsenal Yes i know and he played very well against WBA, but do you think he could replace Brown ?? County fans were gutted he didn't go back to them. They all said he was really good during his spell with them at the end of last season. So can't see no reason why he can't do it in league 1. Half of our squad have proved you can make the step from league 2 to 1 quite easily.

He's had good reviews by Notts County fans by all accounts. At least it now gives Brown some competition, and hopefully he'll up his game knowing that we've got somebody else to play Left Back.

Don't understand people saying he can't play on the left wing. He's a right footed winger who's a good goal scorer. Surely he'd be ideal to play a similar role to BBB on the opposite flank, cutting in on his stronger foot. He's also decent in the air which could be useful if we're going to play 4-3-3, almost like a wide target man. I think Lee brown works better with a right footed winger or as l think of them inside forward in front of him. Browner likes to give it with a simple pass then drift and ghost away out wide down the wing looking to receive it further down so he can put his cross in ( his trademark ) so I think wheeler would be a good signing. Brown was great with Monkhouse.

...and with brown overlapping a Bodin type player on that side and leads overlapping Bodin on the right we'd have 4 attacking wide players all capable of running at people and getting crosses and shots in. I really like the way DC builds our squads it reminds me of the way Furguson did things at Man UTD, he builds a new team every season without ever losing that great winning mentality and he does that by moving a few out and a few in without making massive changes.

Lee Brown been the most loyal player and consistent player at the club since buckle signed him and can and will do a good job plus he's not a loan player and scored and created some very very important goals. He's always up for the game but players do have bad runs especially after a hot curry.

So are you suggesting DC should just keep picking on on his past achievement rather than whether he's good enough now? Using that logic McChrystal and Mildenhall should still be here. Anyway with a bit of competition hopefully LB will step up his game.

I'd love us to get Sweeney back on a season loan but I have to say I'd be even more excited about our prospects if we could bring Wheeler in. He's not as tricky as Bodin but he's superb in the air and a prolific scorer from midfield. If he was playing down the left I predict he'd score 10+ for us in L1.
With his goal threat down one side and Bodin down the other I'd fancy us to finish in the top 6.

The Rovers twitter transfer site is closing down in two days, glad as another of their rumours looks likely to bite the dust, shame Wheeler would be a good addition, plus lives in Bristol, so would not have to re- locate. If we are making moves would rather tie them up before Saturday.
