Pretty much hit nails on head there. Think Dave Martin is ok though. Never been a board basher but the time has come where something has to give.

Agree 100% .Martin is only one player not good enough-poor loan signing- but we are at the stage now where a major structure change throughout is needed.Have a lot of time for Dennis. His words re the UWE several years ago in his Green-'Un column were 'Looking forward to seeing the diggers move in'.Doesn't seem worth the bother now.

Like everything else though it will fall on deaf ears. We have seen virtually nothing different on or off the pitch from last season. Still hoofball, still awful results and still an awful recruitment structure. And that's just the footballing side of things.

Agree with everything bar Martin, from what I have seen of him he certainly gives us pace and someone who can get down the sides. However as we all know one man does' not make a team and the rest of them look woefully short of what is obviously required at this level. That is clearly down to one man who has failed to provide what he promised, a side who will attack with pace! Although early days our Manager is clearly failing to manage and the board need to act very quickly as a couple more dodgy results will see home and away support declining rapidly. I for one want to see all Clarkes pre match and after match talk/energy translated on the pitch into decent performances and then as far as I am concerned he will not have to say anything!

I know its boring of me to keep going on about it but this is why it is so vital to demand the publication of the so called review. Hold these guys to account. For what its worth Brian revealed our new scouting set up is our manager and our assistant. This is not good enough

I don't think anyone is the right man, right now until the club sorts out the shambles it is from the top

Nobody can really disagree with any of that. Either he sorts this mess out pretty sharpish or he will be gone.If we lose to Wrexham and then again to Lincoln i think that will be it.

So disappointed on Sat as I thought we were getting better with every game and I expected more than a passive defeat. The pressure is on now and we need a couple of wins at least. The management and the players need to get a strong message from the BOD that these standards are not acceptable and if they don't perform then they go. I hope Sat was a blip from the progress we seemed to have be making in the two previous games and I hope too the wins come soon otherwise change will have to happen.

Gotta say, so what? I've read this sort of blog in different guises day after day after day.
Anyone got worthy solutions?
I don't personally rate Clarke, i wish i did. But and it's a big but, THE CLUB is failing, every day we hear, BOD Out, Manager out, drop this player, sell that player etc etc etc.
Everyone connected needs to look at themselves, and unless EVERYONE does, we will continue to Fail, Complain, Moan, Attack everyone else, Act Defensive-like and Feel sorry for ourselves.
Time for us all to bloody man up a bit in my opinion!
Apologies if i offended anyone. UTG

There is no solution that will be risk free and no solution that fans wont be able to pick holes in. Feel free to destroy mine, I don't care GD stepped down, we didn't have to pay back the loans as is the tradition at the club, we secured them against the stadium. NH,BB, CJ, EW, RK etc should step down enabling Colin Williams and Mike Turl to take over the day to day running of the the club as discussed this summer. Their loans can be secured against the stadium as its not like the loans were ever free gifts they were going to be repaid when the stadium was sold anyway. MT and CW can bring new investment into the club and implement their financial model (break even budget) and create a positive change to get behind. We should then sack DC, make MS caretaker and advertise the managers job. Shortlist as wide a pool as possible and do some decent research into the main candidates. Our priority must be 1. Player recruitment and the setting up of a decent Scouting system. 2. Appoint a d.o.f to manage the staffing and player recruitment as well as football infrastructure of the club. 3. Appoint a CEO to run the clubs commercial, financial and stadium arms. (get a proper sponsor in rather then the yearly tombola) The new investment from MT and CW should go towards covering this and furthermore the share scheme should be relaunched following raising BRSC ownership back to the 6% if would have been prior to the share re-issue and offering reasonably priced shares to the scheme. At its peak it was worth £200000 a year I believe ?

I value your points Dinsdale, i certainly won't "Destroy" them as you put it.
THE WHOLE CLUB needs to work together now and we need to get on with it.
Maybe everyone's right what do i know, maybe we should all just call each other names and go to hell in a hand cart!
Only one person can start to buck the trend of our demise and anger.....
THE LEADER!
You can forget about every other single thing, if your LEADER is not strong and clever, every other rung on the way down the power ladder will fail. Only our Chairman can really decide to changes things and get everyone onboard. UTG

His body language and persona tells you everything, he must change or be changed. And guess what, What happens at the top trickles all the way down. As i say, there are a hundred problems, but the very Top MUST be sorted first, every other aspect of the club is affected by the decisions and leadership at the top.IMO

For Higgs to change we need other board members to speak out. We need him to be put under pressure, its the only language he knows.

For Higgs to change we need other board members to speak out. We need him to be put under pressure, its the only language he knows. If any of the others had anything about them or were prepared to stand up to him, surely one of them would have strongly advised him to let one of the others do all future interviews. The painful recent twentyman interview proved he should never do another one, the others should have stepped in.
