Well you and your whining (your description) lad sound just like the type of customer anyone needs - I expect everywhere you go service is perfect all the time? He's a paying customer - he's entitled to criticise - if want to accept mediocrity and poor service that's your choice - or maybe that's what you're used to. He's a regular at the Mem, of course he's used to it.

I sometimes wonder what it will take to drag this effing club into the 21st century. I thought the take-over would sort things out but we still appear to be run like a Sunday league side. Today, as we approached half time my lad announced he wanted a hot chocolate. Rather than say no and endure endless whining for the rest of the match I decided to go straight to the 2 huts behind the East Terrace and get him one before the half-time rush. When I walked down the steps from the Dribuild seats I saw this queue snaking from ONE open refreshments hut. I joined the end of the queue and got served about 10 mins into half time. I asked the girl behind the counter why the other hut was closed and she told me it had been condemned and had to be pulled down. So, it can't have escaped the powers that be that the hut was a shithole that wasn't fit for purpose. They've had a 2 month break, plenty of time to replace said hut but no, they are quite content to let CUSTOMERS wait in line for refreshments for a goodly length of time when they've paid good money to watch the football. That says to me that the club really couldn't give a flying F##k about their CUSTOMERS, and as result I'll bet a good number of customers thought "F##k this, I'm not queuing all this time for a poxy tea and pasty" and went without. Well done Rovers, another opportunity to p1ss people off and lose money in the process well and truly grasped! Thinking about it, I'd like to amend my opening sentence to the 20th century. As a club we're many years away from that landmark. What was the vegan option today?

What was the vegan option today? Vegetable pasties have been removed from the menu this season - I'm considering a transfer to FGR.

As a club we're many years away from that landmark. Fantastic match day experience. Went for a beer in the bar under The Dribuild, queued for ages to be told by disgruntled bar staff when I eventually got to the bar - three bar staff didn't bother to turn up - sorry. Ok - went to pick up my 'free' pasty (season ticket holders) - (queued again for ages) to told "they're not free today" - the club will let you know when the "free days" are ffs. So in the end I ended with just one beer. Pitch looked good though - the rest of the day was crap. Pitch looked ok, but in reality was bobbly in areas. I think it is still knitting together/bedding in.

WAQs a nice chap, his Dad has got his hands on all the assets and in total control; tbh the fans have got no say and never have had since the club sold out to the greyhound stadium company. We have given so many people a chance to deliver a new ground, I am now past caring. Will WAQ deliver the facilities, possibly, but not any time soon, that is for sure. The MEM is a laughing stock, but so what, whether WAQ stays or goes will be his call, but one thing I would say, I am really disappointed by his lack of investment in the team. We were ******* **** today, so the only plan I am interested in, is the one which gives DC some dosh, to bring in players as good as those which gave our team the ******** run round today. So the £500,000 pounds DC has spent so far is a complete waste ?? Sack the Manager he is clueless

It seems to matter to you oldgas, more than the rest of us....so direct your whinging at the authorities. Perhaps you have already done that? Sorry to have upset you old chap. In fact there is nothing wrong with the way the club organises things, in fact I think I saw some representatives from Man Utd and Chelsea at the ground taking notes on how to give the customer a great experience. Of course, I should be grateful to the club for expecting me to queue for nearly 15 mins to get a drink. Whatever was I thinking, expecting the club to provide reasonable catering facilities? Tsk tsk.

I love the fact that people are still saying give the owners time etc. Our owners have had over 40 years in total to work it out, but never mind, patience is the name of the game. The only way to justify patience is to come clean about what went wrong at UWE. It certainly doesn't take 18 months to decide Higgs plan was crap. If the freehold was the stumbling block, that could have been clarified in the first 10 minutes of the first meeting. We could then have been looking for alternatives for the last 18 months.
As for the Mem, there will be a two year period of discussing options, then decide it just doesn't pay, and we will be back to square 1 with no UWE option.
Wael was not party to the UWE talks, so it's Hani and Mike Turner who should be answering for what went on. Wael is only repeating bits and pieces second hand.
The service in the bars is bloody awful, and perhaps Box 1 should come down and try to buy a drink or some food. If they can afford it that is. It's cheaper at some clubs in London than here.
Anyway, to the football. It was bloody awful. End of.

To be fair it can be a nightmare taking young kids to games especially what we saw today - mine said "this is boring", and then "I only come because you make me". Could have had the hot chocolate with a flake as far as I am concerned!

You didnt give them long to impress then? I've not written them off and I've already said many times I rate Sercombe, I just think some of that money could've been better spent. Just my opinion.

Well name a forward we could have got instead of nicholls who is better for the money and bear in mind approx equal salary? Make sure its only a player you have seen play live in 5-10 games because any fool would know you cant judge a player otherwise.

I would've rather spent an extra 100k and got Jack Marriott and I'm not just saying that because he scored a hat-trick against us today. I said I would back him to score more than Nichols when they replaced him with Marriott and stand by that. Rated Marriott since his Ipswich/Woking days. Conor McAleny would've been another option on a free and I also rate David Ball.
