I just don't understand how whether or not work has started on the training ground helps us find out who our mystery benefactors are. That's all. I don't want to offend or come across as an idiot. So I apologise if I have done so. Well I'll agree with you that work on the training ground, or lack of, has no bearing on potential bidders. It is highly relevant though to whether you believe the current owners will deliver what they have talked about. As far as I know it'll cost pounds to submit a planning application to change the current restrictions on the site. So why haven't they done it? Simple question No idea, bud. Hopefully nothing untoward going on behind the scenes. I'm not sure what we could do about it even if there was. If the form picks up on the pitch we'll be able to breath a bit easier I reckon. P.s. my boy got his A level results today. Did brilliantly - he didn't take Geography though.

You're also right that er can't do much about planning or who owns Bristol Rovers so what great issue is there on someone speculating on new owners?

Cheers - He will yeah but not this year. I just think that rumours like this can be a bit divisive. We saw last time the unrest it can cause on here and on the terraces too I think - I think that can have bigger impacts than we realise sometimes. A bad run of form and there could be Al Qadis Out banners that sort of thing maybe if people think "It's ok, we don't need them if someone else is waiting to come in". If it's not true and they walk because the fans aren't behind them that would be gutting and potentially BRFC ending. Also if there's a bad vibe about the place and DC's head gets turned by another club that would be really bad for us. I dunno. I know I can be very single minded but I do believe this to be untrue and unhelpful. Whatever happens I'm blue and white through and through. I bet you are as well.

Most things posted on here are untrue though so perhaps close the forum. As to unhelpful if the Al Qs are so soft skinned that they take offence about a few people questioning their intentions then football is probably the wrong business for them to be in. My only advice to them would be to under promise and over deliver which is the opposite to what is happening at present

Yep, close the forum and while you are at it Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
In fact let go back to the 60's so Ellis can have a pint before the game like Jarman did.
Times have changed but its the same situation for every other club yet ours seems to be like a badly acted soap opera (probably Australian)

I'm sure if you went on any club forum, from Chelsea to Cheltenham, there would be threads about why the Owner hasn't spent money on players, why isn't the Ground better, why do we never hear from them, why do we always start badly, everything we go through, it's not just us.

Exactly right, so why are many still surprised its happening here as well?
Same as it is with people expecting positive posts after a 4-1 home defeat.
Its what football fans do and will carry on doing all over the country.

What grips my sh*t is people going onto social media, be it forum/farcebook or twatter and attacking the integrity of players/staff/owners without a shred of integrity or decency. If we lose a game, so be it. It certainly isn't the first nor last we will lose, don't get beered up and go off on one thinking it's your divine right as you paid a few quid into the clubs coffers, or even in same cases absolutely feck all. I won't lie, I was leaving my seat in the east stand straight after the forth goal I didn't applaud nor boo at the final whistle. I was merely heading to the bar for a drink. I was still there at about 19:30 drinking, so ensuring a couple more quid went into the club. Lets get behind them again, I am sure we will still exist/be safe from relegation come the season end

Our present owners say the UWE deal wasn't in the best interests of BRFC. A new group want to push ahead with that deal. That doesn't sound like welcome news to me... Or "in the best interests of" the AQ's. That's fair enough isn't it as a) they own the club b) they fund the club c) they have the most to loose if it doesn't work!
