Slocombe Partington Lockyer Sweeney Brown O. Clarke Lines Sercombe Bodin Harrison Nichols Subs: Gaffney Sinclair Telford Crowd Ref Bury Slocombe/6 pretty steady Partington/6 made us more defensively solid until last 10 minutes... Always made himself available for the ball which made a big difference Lockyer/ 7 played like he use to play and looked comfortable and took his goal well, Sweeney/6 played well but lost beckford for the first goal Brown/7 played like he use to as well and gave us a good option up and down the wing Bodin/7 took his goals well, should have scored a few more especially the open goal he blazed over the top, didn't track back enough for me though. Looked abit disinterested hmmmm? Sercombe/8 m.o.m for me lots of energy and great distribution, can see him being our player of the year if billy bob goes. O Clarke/7 fitted in well and him, sercs/ lines to me was a winning combination. Good to see him back Harrison/5 flutters of something but apart from that no end product and made a lot of bad runs against a shocking bury back four.still shouldn't start and not good enough Nichols/7.5 didn't stop running and made a big difference, very sharp and just needs a goal. Gaffney/7 played well when he came on. Was part of second goal and used the ball well. Should definitely start ahead of Harrison Sinclair/6 got stuck in but didn't have much of an impact but not a lot of time either Telford/6 nice touches and looks promising Ref/7 I thought best we've had so far. Bury/5 below par and weak at the back but showed signs of being dangerous but we dominated a lot of the game and only when we went 3-0 up and kicked back they banged in two which flattered them too much.

Slocombe 7 Competent and confident Partington 7.5 Solid, best game, tired towards the end Brown 7 one good game one bad game Lockyer 7 back to his old self Sweeney 7 as above Bodin 7.5 two goals, always a handful Lines 7 improved performance Sercombe 7.5 always a threat Nichols 8 MOM looks quality, will score plenty Harrison 7 Blameless today O Clarke 7 looked better today
Gaffney 7 should be starting in my opinion Sinclair 6.5 did not tighten things up Telford 6.5 nice touches would like to see him make a longer performance
Ref 8 best I have seen for a while, no bookings in the game Crowd Gas 10 non stop Bury 2 nice people D.C. 10 trust in him

Slocombe 7 - Dealt well with crosses unlike the vampire but made 2 saves look harder than I think they were
Partington 6 don't agree with the previous ratings and thought he was our weakest link but made 1 great tackle and a great cross for Bodin's headed goal Lockyer 7.5 great that he got the goal on his 200th appearance. is that 2 in 200 now? Sweeney 7 steady until late goals Brown 7.5 given lots of room which he exploited, delivery was better apart from 1st three 2 of which went into the keepers arms and one over and out.
O. Clarke 8 worked hard and dominated Lines 8 saw a lot of the ball and at the heart of our most positive play Sercombe 8 completing a great performance from our midfield trio. not often have I seen us dominate so much in midfield
Bodin 7 two good goal although his general play was not at his best Harrison 6 worked hard and given a deserved round of applause when he left the field Nichols 7.5 Can't wait to see him score which will give him a lift. nearly got there today but good overall play
Subs: Gaffney 7.5 good impact and contributed to the goals Sinclair 6 ok Telford NOLE
Crowd 4 because of the pratt who threw the flare. If you are on here *off Ref 5 Bury 4 Just shows that splashing the cash doesn't always work, looked very poor and the 2 late goals really flattered them.

Slocombe 7. Little to do but competent, let down by poor defending for late goals
Partington 6. Would have been higher but both goals came from his side. Tiredness ? Lockyer 6.5 ok performance, good header but this guy couldn't pass water ! Sweeney 7. Solid but did lose Beckford for there first. Brown. 7. Good game but crossing still needs work.
Lines. 7. Looked good when given time and space on the ball Sercombe 8. All action, always available, good movement, potentially dc's best signing. Clarke. 7.5. Willing to do the hard yards, very good return to the starting line.
Bodin. 7.5 Looked dangerous all day, good header. Nichols. 7. Full of effort, needs a goal. Harrison 10. Would of been a 7 but trying to compensate for those who love a bit of Ellis bashing.
Garney. 6.5. Looked lively Sinclair. 6. Full of running as always, but disrupted team shape which was good all day until his arrival Telford. Nole. Hope he gets a chance soon.
Crowd 8 (gas) 2 (bury) Dc . 8. Good reaction from his players, good shape, good energy, but ...... see below Bury 1. Bury were shocking.

At 90 minutes result a fair reflection on play as Bury fans were piling out to the left of us.Shame about last 2 goals which seemed to be a lapse in concentration. However still a great and much needed result

Slocombe 6 generally ok disappointing to concede 2 goals after that performance.
Partington 6 looked vulnerable at times, does not look 100% fit. Great hanging cross for second goal. Lockyer 7 defended ok capped off with a long overdue goal. Sweeney 7 good physical presence. At his best when he keeps his game simple. Brown 7 mixed bag of a game but provided 2 assists and defended ok.
O. Clarke 7 broke up play well back to last seasons form. Lines 7 did ok nothing special. Did ok on the ball. Sercombe 9 MOTM All action display. Very tidy on the ball and did the ugly side well.
Bodin 8 good goals and great on the ball, should of had more goals. Harrison 8 ran his socks off, tidy on the ball. Defended from the front brilliantly, deserved a goal for his efforts. Nichols 8 worked tirelessly for the team, worked the keeper well on another day would have scored.
Subs: Gaffney 6 did well and made a good impact. Sinclair 6 did ok. What a nightmare of a player to bring on for the opposition last 20 mins. Telford 6 looked tidy needs more game time.
Crowd 7 Ref 7 Bury 3 very flattering scoreline, should have been 5 or 6. Only opened us up first and last 5 mins. They were poor and looked poor at the back. Not going to take anything away from our team though we were outstanding at times.

Results in and Liam Sercombe was Man of the Match with a score of 8.14.
Sercombe has been in the top two players for each of his first three league games. The only other player to achieve that is Lee Nicholls who was runner-up in his first three but never made the top two again.
Brown's 7.1 was his highest score since Port Vale at home last season, 34 league games ago.
The starting XI average was 7.16. The only away games last season that rated higher were the back-to-back trips to Bolton (8.50) and Oxford (7.73).
However, Bury's 3.7 was the worst opposition faced since, well Bury in the home game last season (3.2). In terms of away league* games only Yeovil (3.1), Hartlepool (3.67), Crawley (3.5), Dagenham (3.0) and York (3.4) were lower. Surprisingly all of those games were in the League Two season.
*Dorchester in the FA Cup qualifying round did get a 2.5, but not really worth comparing.
Slocombe 6.7
Partington 6.4 Lockyer 7.1 Sweeney 6.9 Brown 7.1
O. Clarke 7.4 Lines 7.2 Sercombe 8.1
Bodin 7.5 Harrison 6.9 Nichols 7.6
Subs: Gaffney 6.9 Sinclair 6.1 Telford 6.2
Crowd 6.5 Ref 7.1 Bury 3.7
