It really is quite disappointing. We've had all summer to sort it and now with just one injury we look really lacking in that area. Wael needs to open his cheque book and bring in a quality free transfer ASAP. just as annoyed as no LM as we cannot even play a decent 442. Light in midfield. Don't get me started on the left sided options.

Makes me laugh how everyone is raving about partington on the strength of what? 2 good games? When you get well beaten the best players always seem to be the ones that didnt play in the beating.

He has defended assuredly with calmness and 5 assists in 4 games might also have something to do with the praise he's receiving.

I remember him playing well against Rochdale away and Sheffield United at home too, hopefully he will get a run of games to cement his position. Didn't know he was welsh, we have a lot of players with Welsh nationality in the starting 11.

4-4-2 - simple as. Moore & Bodin on the wings, two from Sercombe, Lines, Clarke in the middle.
Stop messing around (every year for the last three) and get on with it.
Gafney + 1 upfront.
Partington, Lockyer, Sweeney & Bold in defense đ

Anyone else think a slight change of tactics might be needed? 4-4-3 has done alright for us so far but is it worth considering changing it a bit? I really think 5-3-2 could work for us and make the defence a bit more solid. Not really. it's looking like we need 1 team / tactics for home and another for away. We have nothing to fear at home. Need to sort away form / tactics out pronto.

I would take 0-0 or 0-1 to us over more hammerings.

I'd like to see us go to 4 -4 -2 and have Gaffney or Nichols supporting him.

Surely Telford has to start. or at least get 20 mins off the bench - surely DC must be curious what he can do in a L1 game after his well-taken goals v Wycombe !

True, I agree with you but before them 4 games 9/10 people were saying what a waste/pointless transfer. It's so extreme here Fans were only saying that we they'd never seen him play, now they have it's even odder he never played much last season! As far as posters saying give Telford 20 mins or so, DC can only do that if he starts with Nichols, as he can hardly bring Telford on and then keep Nichols on the bench. Why DC ever starts with Moore is a mystery as I can't recall many games he's played well when stating a game, there hasn't been many he's even played well as a sub. It looks like w/o a LW DC's stuck with 4-3-3, unless he plays Nichols or Broom, or even Bola, as a makeshift LW.

Slocombe. Parts, Locks, Sweeney, Bola Bodin, sercombe, Clarke, Nichols Harrison Telford Yes, that an interesting team and certainly has goals in it. Can Nichols play wide in 4-4-2 or would Telford be a better choice with Nichols upfront ....suppose they could rotate ? I remember 4-2-4 but guess we would be over-run in Midfield. Agree Browner could do with a rest.

Pick the team that won against Fleetwood if that is suitable playing against Walsall.
Its away from home a new formula needs finding,
Slocombe
Brown Sweeney Lockyer Leadbitter
Bola Sercombe O Clarke Partington
Bodin
Harrison
Telford ,Nicholls ,Keeper ,Broadbent ,Gaffney ,Lines ,Moore
Play with a stronger defensive line up and guarantee that 0-0 . Then have the options on the bench to go attacking if the need/ occasion arises.
goal in the 90th minute every game away from home to secure an uninspiring 1-0 will do me fine. Just have to do it 10 times successfully out of the 23 away games to gain 30 points.
