I have deleted the ifollow thread which enables users to work around the site using a VPN.
The original poster had very good details on how to do this but we really cannot show this information on a public forum.

Completely agree with the decision and hope others appreciate that we cannot have this stuff on the forum publically. If you want to discuss these things please reach out to each other privately.

You could say the same about the racist tread that is on here, when the person involved has no comeback and has not in fact had any charges against him

I was the OP. I can confirm in no way was I detailing how to stream free games. The instructions are based on paying the iFollow subscription.

The point is, if you watch the games on iFollow either in the UK or Internationally, you still have to pay! As far as I'm aware there were no instructions on watching the games for free. I still say that using a VPN is not illegal.

I can confirm using a VPN is not illegal in its self if you want to protect your identity, BUT it is illegal if its a vehicle to commit a copyright infringement

I still say that using a VPN is not illegal. There is no way of watching iFollow games for free - even if there was I couldn't condone it. The whole point of the thread was to make the iFollow subscription accessible to UK fans, to increase club revenue. Hopefully this will happen natively in the next few years as there is a market for it.

The only way you could watch iFollow for free is to watch an illegal online stream, however, nobody was suggesting doing that on the thread.
Having said I note other club's fans forums have banned such threads, so it was a bit of surprise we hadn't already done likewise.

I fully accept the OP was not suggesting or advising any wrong doing.

I just want to confirm that it is impossible for illegal activity to happen with instructions in the thread. It is however against broadcast rights between EFL and Sky for UK viewers to buy the service to watch matches within UK. This is a ToS issue, not a legal one.
Maybe it would be better if a mod can just explain that the thread was closed due to not wanting to suggest how to get around the EFL/Sky rights of broadcasting in the UK.

Lol, I was trying to explain that, just not doing a very good job of it.
